Looking good!
Looking sweet but this is another one i'll save money on and play through gamepass when it launches just like im currently am with Blair Witch.
Trying to go for that Borderlands humour?
I haven't been excited for a game in some time, but this game has me very excited!
I simply don’t want to be interested since the sequel could be only available on systems I won’t own...
I'm debating getting it on PS4 or playing it on Gamepass for PC. Pass would save me some money but I greatly prefer playing on console...
Can’t quite explain why I’m not feeling excited about this one. They made arguably the best of the modern Fallouts and I love a good sci-fi setting but just not thinking of getting it at the moment.
I will keep an eye on it and see if something about it grabs me down the line.
@KorsaRaph At least Microsoft are launching a whole bunch of their exclusives on PC now. That's a whole lot more consumer-friendly than anything Sony does.
@BearsEatBeets I honestly think the marketing's been a little bit off, but I'm not quite sure why. I'm very interested in the game, but nothing I've seen has made me go "wow". It might just be one of those games that's hard to show off properly. Even New Vegas looked janky as hell in its original trailers, but the Fallout name carried it, and the game itself was brilliant.
I think The Outer Worlds could just be another game where we've got to give it a shot. If it's as deep as it's being made out to be, I'm sure it'll go down well.
@KorsaRaph They will change their tune when they don't sell very much because GamePass is eating into their sales
@nessisonett
Yes, but I don’t want a gaming PC, Sony and Nintendo consoles have already more games than I have time for.
I’m not against exclusive... it’s just that I’d be sad loving that universe and then not being able to continue in its sequel.
If Microsoft ever confirm its sequel will be multiplatform I might jump in!
@nessisonett Then what's the point of owning a console (particularly an xbox) if the games that meant to sell said console were on other platforms anyway. It might seem "consumer friendly" but it doesn't exactly make you want to buy there next console.
I see a Fallout and Borderlands mashup. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not a Day One...even if I was still doing Day Ones.
@nessisonett
Microsoft was publishing their software on PC well before they got into the console market. They then got into the console market, and managed to come in last place all three generations so far. The Wii and PS3 both outsold the most successful Xbox console, the 360. Microsoft going back to their roots where they actually had success is a smart move.
I think this looks fun and being from Obsidian should have some decent and often witty writing.
@Splat I am kinda in the same boat, not sure if I want to get this on PS4 or Switch.
@Tasuki decent performance in hand-held and gyroscope aiming would make the ps4/switch choice tricky.
My MOST anticipated game for the rest of the year.
@KorsaRaph Valid concern since MS bought the studio. However I am still excited to play. Fallout and Borderlands are my fav IPs (currently having a blast in Borderlands Game of the Year and Fallout 76) and its going to be cool to see what the Fallout NV team comes up with. Plus the sequel is half a decade away and a lot could change in the console world but I’m just gonna enjoy this for now when it comes out...
@Tasuki this is coming out for Switch?
I am so excited for this. I love the Borderlands esque witty humour and the fallout esque gameplay. Where do i sign up? #GuaranteesNotGuaranteed
Looks boring, bland and the humor comes off as forced rather than funny, not for me.
@frankmcma Yep it's been confirmed

So err.. is there a third person perspective?
Just asking . Dont hate haha
Not interested if it's only first person.
I dream of a future where all perspectives are optional. A few games do that already. And that is, ladies and gents, inclusivity (to use a buzz word haha)
Edit
Yes was just making fun of buzzwords I dislike in general but its indeed customer friendly .
@JJ2 Nope, first person only. I am trying to train my self to be able to play 1st ppov, with out getting sick, for cyberpunk but it's not working. So I'll most likely be passing on both of these great looking sci fi games.
It looks ok actually, but I don't do day ones any more so it will go on the list.
This is blatantly modern Fallout in space and I am okay with that. More than okay. I am looking forward to this and really hope it turns out good. That said, I likely won't get it at launch because I have a monstrous backlog (made slightly worse by not being able to resist picking up Control or Man of Medan just recently) and am trying to save money. With some exceptions, you can usually get a game for one third to one half off within four months. The pull of the new and shiny is real, but it definitely pays to be patient.
@BearsEatBeets @ShogunRok Everything I see of this game doesn't do anything for me, but the concept of Fallout in space will never not appeal to me. The tone of these trailers is just too Just Cause/Gearbox for me.
Loved the trailer, shame there's no 3rd person like Cyberpunk, but I'll probably still play this eventually.
Man, I wonder what's going to happen when this game releases and Obsidian thinks to themselves "what were we thinking betting on Microsoft? It seemed so awesome at the time to make all of that money but look at Sony's pool. Now we get why Insomniac only made one game, why Bungie left, and why Remedy quickly went went multi-platform.... This was a bad business decision."
I'm eager to try this one out. Looks good!
