Would love a remaster of the original too!

Yup I’m another who has never even heard of this. Regardless of how good a game may be, if no one knows about it, it’s very unlikely it’ll get many players.

@HonestHick it was my first proper rpg too… I really hope they don’t mess with it too much apart from the visuals. I still feel that the rpg elements in Skyrim (while great) were dumbed down a bit from its forbears.

Must’ve sunk over 400 hours into this game… can’t wait to sink a couple hundred more.

Really hope this decision works out for them, looking at the game I think that it will… but you never know these days.

Awesome, I remember seeing this release on Gamepass around 6 months ago and wondering if it’d get a PS5 release.

Still on Darksiders after making a start on it last weekend… I’m blown away tbh. Starts off pretty bog-standard old-school God of War but with slower combat… and then just keeps adding facets upon facets from other games series, that combines into a pretty great overall package.

I questioned the Zelda comparisons going in… and even after I’d played a couple of sessions but… the further you get the more it clicks… the game is Zelda but with character-action combat and a Warcraft paint-job! Oh and they threw in a smidge of Portal too!

@CaptD maybe, I do like a bit of stealth. Would you consider the Styx games as immersive sims… if so, I may well pick up the previous games too?

As others have said, GTA IV, Bully and Max Payne 3 remasters would be great… I’d also be down for remasters of the Manhunt games if they can untangle Mary Whitehouse’s knickers.

Finally getting around to starting the Darksiders series today! I’ve had them in my backlog for bloody years and have always quite fancied them (particularly 2) but have always ended up shifting them back in the schedule for whatever nebulous reason that cropped up at the time.

Well that changes today, starting with Darksiders: Warmastered Edition I’m gonna check out this series full of heavy inspiration from other games that I love. I’ve heard this first one plays like a fusion of N64-era Zelda and old-school God of War. Sounds pretty cool.

Me and a few friends got the platinum recently… we all really enjoyed it tbh.

Just got the platinums on Lords of Shadow and it’s sequel last year… I was wondering what these guys were up to as they were more than decent.

Yeah I watched an extended gameplay trailer of this a couple of months ago… looks class. I rate Rebellion and reckon this could be their break-out hit into the mainstream.

Just heard about this elsewhere… sad news, Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War were great games. I’d kill for a trilogy-capper right about now! 🫠

@PeaceSalad I know what you mean… I remember the big blue guys were pretty tough and the final boss gave me problems too. Having said that, I’m pretty excited. Every time I return to an Uncharted game I have numerous moments of “Oh… that’s where this memory comes from!”. I’ve only played the first 3, so while I’m psyched to return to 2 and 3 for their platinums… I’m really looking forward to eventually getting to 4 (& Lost Legacy).

Back in 2023 I planned on playing an Uncharted game each year and really enjoyed the original at the time. I then put that plan on hiatus though, as I devoted pretty much the whole of 2024 to my PS3 backlog.

Well I’ve finally managed to circle-back and will be making a start on Uncharted 2. I have played it through a couple of times before (once on ps3 and once the ps4 remaster) but this time I’ll be hunting that plat.

Turns out PC doesn’t stand for personal computer as we all thought… it’s actually perennial complainers.

Much to my surprise, I actually quite enjoyed the Life is Strange games (1 & 2 in particular). Will be picking this up once it’s all available.

From what I gather it works best if the ps5 is hardwired into the router… so I might have to do a bit of DIY (which I hate) as the missus won’t want a wire running from my gaming room, down the stairs into the router. I’ll have to conceal it behind the walls, under the floor etc. really looking forward to that weekend 😅

Finally finished off the Suicide Squad platinum yesterday, which was my last hold-over from the previous year… so only a month and half late getting to this years schedule 😅.

Dead Island 2 is up first and really enjoying it so far. Looks great, satisfying combat and just dumb honest fun, which is all you need sometimes.

Although I always say never go full Ubisoft… I will be going full Ubisoft in this case and pre-ordering. I just feel that after buying all of their games for half price over the years and thoroughly enjoying the vast majority of them, with all of their trials and tribulations it feels like the right time to pay full price for a game I know I’ll get hours upon hours of enjoyment out of.

Player numbers has no limits

Not into family-friendly fare myself, which is probably why I don’t click with Nintendo… but happy for those who are into this kinda thing.

@Megayoshi96 I forgot about Shinobi… yeah as someone who considered Revenge of Shinobi in my all-time top 3 Megadrive games, I can’t wait!

Buzzing! Mindsey3, Saros, Tides of Annihilation, Lost Soul Aside, Hell is Us… and frikkin’ Days Gone: Remastered (no cap Days Gone is incredible and it will be my privilege to plat that again).

The first game was one of the few games I played at release… this will be another.

I’ve heard a lot of rumours about God of War: Greek Saga debuting for a March release to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the series.

I just really hope it’s a remake as in - like the Resident Evil 2 & 4 remakes. The gameplay of MGS3 has aged quite poorly when considered alongside MGS4 & V and it really needs more than simply a graphical-jhoosh.
