@PuppetMaster slow games come out all the time and people like them. The last guardian was mixed because of the performance issue, controls issue and ai issue, not because it was slow

@wildcat_kickz Sony is making its own console and owns dozens of studios and they are making their own IPs. It's not the same scale.
You can compare it to Larian studios. They made BG3, earned a lot of money and went their own way with another Divinity game

@wildcat_kickz i don't get the point. Why would disney care if they own Insomniac or not? Why are we talking about what Disney thinks? I mean my original question was "why would IOI work with Amazon? not "why would Amazon work with IOI". Amazon and Disney want to get max profit, that's a no brainer to work with the best studios. But Insomniac and IOI is a completely different situation. Insomniac is one of the Sony's studios so they don't really decide what to do, while IOI just went self publishing with their games and they even tried to publish third party games

@wildcat_kickz Insomniac is not a private studio. It's a Sony's studio. Realistically insomniac will do what Sony will tell them to do. IOI has to take care of itself

People talk about how amazon shouldn't replace IOI. But why would IOI want to work on it instead of working on something they own? Amazon will get all the money from the sequels

I feel like enough is enough. We basically saw the entire life of Drake. There are no plot twists for us anymore.

The thing about QA is that a lot of actual QA is automated anyway. So i don't see a problem with ai there. AI won't replace manual testing

He was in charge of games after CoD peaked on Modern warfare 2 and Black ops 1. Everyone considered MW3 a weaker game because MW2 set the bar too high and after that people started criticizing every CoD. So it's very funny to me to hear his "I hate doing this, but since I left Sledgehammer, none of the games have been very good"

Not only ps5 doesn't have a lot of current gen only games, ps5 pro can't even run every game at stable 60fps. And some games have even worse performance than the base ps5. and if ps6 come out in 2027 then it will only be 3 years of mid experience. While ps4 pro had steady 4 years with a lot of ps4 gen only games. Tell me something about jokes now.

@PuppetMaster it's not a completely standalone IP. It's based on Disney and Final fantasy IPs. Without them there wouldn't be kingdom hearts

@Enriesto yes Ivalice world is great. The story is good until the end game, then it drops. But i'm not playing tactical rpgs for the story. Even if it's good to have a good story, i will always take good gameplay/boring story over the mid combat/good story

Idk original FFT is a very flawed game in 2025. and it's mostly loved because it's an FF game. There are way better tactical rpgs. Can't take "stands the test of time" and "remains a masterful game to this day" seriously
