Dawnwalker developer Rebel Wolves has revealed a new PS5 patch for the RPG arriving next week will be packing more than 1,100 "improvements and fixes", and an infographic highlights the biggest ones.

This is the major update the studio teased last month, where it spoke of an easier difficulty setting and some tweaks to combat and controls. The enhancements have indeed made it into patch 1.1, which goes live at some point next week.

Highlights include a new item, the Draught of Mind Rebirth, the ability to pet animals, an even easier difficulty mode, and more options to adjust the subtitles.

When you use the Draught of Mind Rebirth, you will be able to reset all your Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism skills and use that time to reallocate your points, thus learning a different set of abilities.

After update 1.1, the current Story mode will be renamed to Forgiving. There'll then be a new Story mode designed to be easier than Forgiving, which has more combat assists.

As per the social media post, here are some more changes and features in patch 1.1:

FrameGen Update

Update to the FrameGen technology, including dedicated settings.

Camera Improvements

Adjusted animations and camera movements in combat.

Combat Improvements

Improved targeting, locking onto, and disengaging from enemies.

Traversal Improvements

Better responsiveness of targeting and attaching to surfaces when using Shadowstep and Planeshift.

Japanese Version Update

Blood and gore will no longer be censored in the Japanese version of the game on Steam.

I think these updates will go a long way to making The Blood of Dawnwalker a much better-feeling game, as I remember having issues with the targeting system and the inability to run away from enemies when you do not want to engage in combat anymore. They'll chase you down relentlessly!

Once the PS5 update goes live next week, we'll have the full patch notes for you on the site.
