You know, continually burning the bridge between days gone and Sony makes it harder and harder for Sony to ever consider a sequel.
I bet if this guy would have just graciously taken the news they didn’t green light the sequel as a ‘no for now’ instead of taking it like a divorce, days gone 2 would have been a future possibility.

LOVE the series and I’ll probably buy it…. But I’d like a new title and not just remakes all the time

Crucify me, but I could only play for a few hours as it felt off. Clunky isn’t the right word but i really didn’t like the feel of it

@KaijuKaiser negative it’s was the game. After the second or third update, all the graphical options work just fine. My tv exceeds the ps5’s capabilities so I know it’s the game and not the tv

Maybe it’s just me, but I kinda feel like sf2 should always be included in every street fighter game

@Pinkman I felt the opposite. Every souls game feels like a grind whereas after my first ghost play through I checked to see if the platinum was reasonable (I typically just play the game and then debate if I want to trophy hunt after I beat it) … to my surprise, I only had about 15mins of odds and ends to clean up to platinum. I literally adored every second of it.
I’ll stand by my assessment that ghost is overall a better game but Elden ring is actually a ps5 game and should be above ghost on the list and maybe ghost shouldn’t be on this list

@Pinkman Elden ring is not better than ghost of Tsushima….. but, I don’t really agree with the assessment of the writer that it’s on the ps5. It’s optimized for the ps5 but it’s a ps4 game(so is most of this list).
I’d be fine if it were in front of hfw, a great game, but a touch overrated

Never played mass effect…. Guess the time is near

Well, obviously I’m playing god of war ragnarok. I can only play for about an hour a day so I’m going to be at it for a while

I refrain from voting because I’m not done with it yet. So far I’m 10 hrs in and I’d say 8/10. So far it feels like DLC.
I do have a side gripe with it. The game is unplayable in performance mode. Screen goes black and won’t display. It’s not my TV. My 4K 240hz TV has had no issues with any game in any combination of highest resolution, hdr, and or performance mode.
I have to turn the resolution down, hdr off, and favor quality to get it to play and it still flickers a black screen every now and then.

I just bought kh story so far collection this summer 😢. I might gift it to a friend 🤷🏻‍♂️

Returnal will crush it on pc sales…. It’s ps5 exclusive that caters to a large base of pc players. Wouldn’t be shocked if ends up #2 on Sony’s pc sales

I enjoy emersion and gameplay most of all. Nintendo holds some of my favorite franchises. I really don’t care about fps until I feel the game is struggling to run at the given fps. Hyrule warriors was age of calamity was the last game I played that I wished had a higher frame rate.
I haven’t had an issue with any of my PlayStation experiences from a performance standpoint

@Danloaded 💯 the Nintendo version is superior because it lets you redeem physical copies for points to use on any purchase even if it’s just a few dollars towards the purchase. If the same game is on Nintendo I’ll typically get it there unless it’s a sports game or drastically cheaper on Sony

Lolololololololol I’m dying. There’s no way in helk that this will be a free upgrade. It wouldn’t be billed as a remaster but tater an optimization. A full remaster is something that expects a premium price tag.

Bonus tip… you can buy an actual pressure washer and offer your services to real homeowners and businesses and make ACTUAL cash in this game called real life. The npc are kinda mid though

Hadn’t played it, can’t review it. I feel remasters have an unfair user review handicap. Typically it’s only fans of the game that buy the remaster. They have to really mess it up to make fans of the game to not like the game
Personally I love the series, both games….. but I’m not paying $70 for a game I just replayed last year via a free to me ps4 remaster

Remaking every asset is fantastic and it looks amazing…. But a huge part of a game is, you know, the story and acting. You only have one time that you are shocked by the opening act and the twists and turns in the game.
For newcomers, it’s 100% worth the $70…. But I’ll wait till it’s free or on deep discount.

Of the 3, I should be most interested in NFS… but dang has the franchise sucked for decades. I’m thinking totem sounds the best. Hopefully we get at least another good premium and or classic title as well for the upper tiers, but honestly, my backlog is so long I’m not playing anything new from ps plus this year

I only have 7 platinums. It’s been months since I went for my last plat on horizon forbidden west. I’d say 90% of the games I play seem impossibly tedious to platinum and I’m not interested in doing tedious tasks for days on end to get some digital trophy.

I feel this is more about investment in e-sports related franchises. It’s a massively growing industry with tons of earning potential.

TLDR
Is there a career mode w/ skill tree and create a golfer?

If yes, I buy
If no, I wait till it’s free, download it, never play it, then delete when I need the space

I view the trophies as a personal reference to the games I played to the games I mastered. I really don’t care for shovel ware, but you know what, I’m free to not buy it.
I don’t ever compare my trophies to other people so I don’t really see why people even car.

I rarely play online multiplayer…. Sooo I’ve never heard of or used accolades. Seems like it’s a feature most wouldn’t bother with.

Tony hawk is a damn good inclusion….. and I already own it

Meh, I’m good with the remastered version I have. If you don’t have the ps4 remaster and haven’t played tlou 1 or haven’t played it since ps3….. then by all means smash the pre-order button. Me? I’ll pass

You never NEED to play previous games before playing a new one, but I still recommend playing all the God of War games before playing ragnarok. I’ve played them all in the last year (excluding the nearly impossible to play mobile game that lives on flip phones). GoW 2018 is much more enjoyable knowing the journey of kratos through his battles in Greek mythology. Give the character depth beyond what you’re getting just playing the latest game alone.

I’m ok with it, definitely not dissatisfied or disappointed. Honestly I have such a backlog from the new psPlus premium refresh that I can put my blinders on the monthly games quality for the rest of the summer at least.
Guardians of the galaxy, death stranding, shadow of the colossus remastered, Nioh, returnal, assassins creed Valhalla, nba 2k22, both South Park RPGs, and several others were all on my wish list but just dropped in the service.
I’m too backlogged to care about the monthly games, lol

I just got nba 2k22 w/psPlus and I’m exited to get 2k23 for free with ps/plus next summer. LETS GO!

God of war is my favorite Sony franchise and second overall only to the legend of Zelda….. and all I care to know is the release date and when I can pre-order it. I literally could care less when those dates end up being, just that the game is ready and in my mailbox on release day.

Open world, stealth, with combat…. Just sounds like most open world games. No matter what I’m interested

The more I think about it…. THIS game has early inclusion on psPlus upper tiers written all over it

I think the character models models look great in the remaster. The biggest room for improvement is the environment (which is pretty impressive for its release date). I’m interested in playing the remake but not at $70. Would be an amazing psPlus premium inclusion

@Mauzuri that’s how I felt the first time playing it on the ps3…. I tried again about 2 years ago and powered through it. It’s a masterpiece and a game I’ll adore forever.

Interesting…. On a side request: I think every street fighter game should include street fighter 2 turbo in the main menu, because street fighter 2 turbo needs no sequels, it’s Capcom that needs them👍🏻

@Party_Cannon exactly. There are plenty of games that have full body but the only way to be 1:1 is floating hands.

Something WRONG about the subscription giving you a game they already gave you. GOW is in the ps plus collection on ps5. It’s in the ps now library that’s moving over to the new tier system. I’ve bought the game once and now with this ps has ‘given’ it to me via subscription 3 times. Fantastic game but a trash move

I’d like to get more info on stray and Ragnarok…. I’m 90% sure we’ll hear about stray…. 33% we’ll hear about ragnarok
