Re: Review: Tales of Berseria (PS4)

consolfreak1982

just got this yesterday (along with Resi7) and oh my god is this game good - Im still in the opening hours but .. damn .. the graphics have improved so much over Zestiria, and the Story starts off very good so far. Ugh, good bye social life LOL
I just love the Tales Series .. seriously ^^

Re: UK Sales Charts: 73% of Resident Evil 7's Retail Copies Sold on PS4

consolfreak1982

Good for Yakuza and Kingdom Hearts! Shame Final Fantasy 15 is out of the Top Ten. And Ill never understand how GTA5 can still sell so many copies - guess RS buys them all themselves to Keep it in the Charts and relevant (lol just kidding).
Resi7 - well deserved, especially the VR exclusivity Shows now (isnt this the first actual "real game" for VR? lol just kidding).

Re: Review: Tales of Berseria (PS4)

consolfreak1982

@Jake3103 I hope so too, I mean Im just glad that Tales Releases in Europe now and even gets localized with german texts - back when I was a kid I could just dream about JRPGs like Tales and others since most JRPGs never were released in Europe and had to be imported which was not only expensive, you needed a Japan or US console too ...

Re: Japanese Sales Charts: Gravity Rush Goes Top as Valkyria Revolution Flops

consolfreak1982

Good Job for Gravity Rush 2 ^^
Just played the demo of GR1 and didnt get into it so I also pass out on 2.
Dont get why Valkyria is not so well received ... it Looks amazing!
I mean im a huge Fan of Valkyria Chronicles and when I heard that the new one will be less strategic I wasnt even disappointed cuz I thought hell they know what theyre doing it will turn out great - still lookin Forward though ^^

Re: Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age's Trophies Tease Imminent Release

consolfreak1982

i lo-lo-loooove FF12
Its one of my fav FF games, best Overall gameworld so far in any FF imo due to the weather System (and the effects on the Environment and Monsters) and the sheer variety and Overall design. Cant wait to Play it again with updated graphics!
Im hoping they fix the loading times as well as the levelling up which was a real drag in the PS2 Version (took way too Long to grind, even for a FF game).
Oh - and this time ... im gonna get you ... Yiazmat ...

Re: Evo 2017 Reveals Its Featured Fighting Games

consolfreak1982

omg Rev2 ^^ someone hold my Hand pls lol
Hey - ArcSys - BlazBlue and GG Need the english dub!!! wtf is wrong with you guys??? The last chapter of BB without english voices?? The english voiceovers we Fans know and love for years and are attached to the chars!!! And omg stop those DLC madness already - at least let us unlock all chars ingame for heavens sake!
And Capcom ... go and make SF5 free to Play already...
Have high hopes for Tekken7 though!
Still gonna have to get KOF14 ... even as a Fan ... those graphics ... ugh ... ruined it for me .. ill get it on a sale at some point

Re: Review: Tales of Berseria (PS4)

consolfreak1982

Must Buy since Im a huuuuuuuuuuuuge Tales Fan ^^
(although the Demo didnt blew me away but idc - didnt get into the combat that much, lookin Forward to the full game to dive in deeper).
Does anyone know if there will be a "PSPro" Update?

Re: Review: Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- (PS4)

consolfreak1982

@Shillll hello I have a question - Im from europe and a huge GG fan, did pass out on Revelator but since its on sale now Im gonna get it but have my doubts - first of all: is it true that two fighters must be bought? One can be unlocked but two Need to be bought with cash is that right? (they were free for a short period ive heard) ... Dizzy is by the way nowhere to be found on the european store and I really love that char so Id even payd extra but shes not on the store is she in the game now??
Im also still hesitating because theres an update coming up - Rev2 - and my fear is that if I buy those two extra chars they will just be "for free" and regular in the roster of Rev2 ... but yeah, seems that ArcSys is doing the same to Xrd as to the whole BlazBlue Series.
Theres also no english dub is that right? Sorry to bother with those questions but I have been looking dedicatedly on the whole net without finding any clear answer and was hoping that you would know - thanks very much in advance! ^^

Re: BlazBlue: Central Fiction

consolfreak1982

still no Review on this one? cmon pushsquare - its the last chapter of BlazBlue!
The lack of the english Sub is sure an extreme downer.
There was a fan petitition but ArcSys just didnt seem to care.
And since the devs recently said that there will not be an "Extend"-Version or any new BB game in the future, this Comes as a heavy Punch in all of the BB Fans faces.
Ist said that BBCF will get further updated and balanced, as the devs want to Keep the game going for a Long time.
Just a shame that, when considering the huge amount of dialogue in the game, and also that each other BB game was english dubbed with perfect voice actors that fitted the chars even better than the original japanese ones ... how could you ArcSys ...
If anyone knows of any updates or has any thoughts just hit me up!

Re: Review: Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (PS4)

consolfreak1982

@Quintumply might you be so Kind as to explain to me why this game got a 7/10 on pushsquare and an outstanding 9/10 on nintendollife?
Is the PS4 Version in any regards worse than the WiiU one or is it just the occasional "two People two opinions"? Thanks in advance!

Re: PS4's Price Will Drop to $199 in 2017, Predicts Pachter

consolfreak1982

wasnt that obvious?
I mean - Switch and Scorpio are comin - so Sony will have to cut down the Price - if they do, both Nintendo and MS are doomed. Dont believe it? Well, Switch may have its own audience, but since the technicals have been leaked (weaker than the PS4!) I guess its been settled already ... and Microsoft? Wanting to present "real 4k"? I am seriously "lmao"
First of all dear Microsoft - worry about your Price. Sony will just cut the Price of the PS4Pro and then we will see which console sells more next Christmas lol even with the "full 4k" Support I guess hardly anyone that wants to get a new console will spend the horrendous Price on a new Xbox ...
I must not remind anyone that this has been the same as the One launched.
100,- more than the PS4 - lol, lol, lol
and whats next? Sony will just announce the PS5 shortly after that.
Microsoft is beat and just doesnt want to see it yet.
A shame for all the wasted Money! In our times of war .. not only us Players against each other. But Money is surely the last Thing MS has to worry about.
Dont get me wrong. I also have an Xbox, 360, and a One. Not a blind Sony Fanboy, although I always preferred PS over Xbox due to the JRPGs.
Just my prediction of whats comin next.

Re: Review: Final Fantasy XV (PS4)

consolfreak1982

although its far from perfect and has obvious flaws FF15 is my overall GotY.
I honestly thought that nothing could bang me away like DarkSouls3 this year but man have I been wrong - FF15 is all I was hoping for!
Finished the Story, grinded to lv 99, and now im grinding AP to max out all Skills (thats like the Definition of "exhausting" lol seems endless) - 70 hours in so far and still far from being anything near complete. All those Side Quests are overwhelming, cant wait to challenge the secret dungeons and superbosses (thats why im grinding like crazy lol).
Please SquareEnix- give me DLCs!!!!!!! More More More!!! More Dungeons, Bosses, Story, ALL lol ^^ But first - work on the issues (loading times!!)

Re: Review: Steins;Gate 0 (PS4)

consolfreak1982

can anyone please tell me the difference betwenn Steins Gate and Steins Gate 0 - should I get the first one or should I skip it and buy Zero? Thanks in advance for your help guys ^^

Re: Review: The Evil Within (PlayStation 4)

consolfreak1982

just got this game again for a very cheap Price
I had this on xbox one when it came out initially
and now - two years after that - the game does live up very very well - in fact, its even better than I remembered it
The black Cinema stripes which covered much of the Screen can be turned off now - also Id say the game Looks better and Plays smoother on the PS than on the Xbox.
The game Features a very tense atmosphere (although some "wtf moments") and a more slow/stealthy Approach on the "Resi4Gameplay" - the worst part of the game is its Story, which has an intriguing start but gets overly freaky pretty fast and gets more and more so the more you come near to the end of the game.
If I had to rate it - it (still) deserves an 8/10.

Re: Battleborn's Probably Maybe Possibly Going Free-to-Play Soon

consolfreak1982

@Tasuki It may have flopped when it Comes to sales especially since its always compared with Overwatch which is a total different game with total different gameplay lol

  • did you Play the game? if not give that game a Chance! - its absolutely awesome, especially in coop - im down if u Need a coop Buddy - maybe I can Change your mind on that game, Ive convinced quite some People already in getting it and no one complained so far - its really damn good ^^
a free Trial Version would maybe draw more Players in - as Long as the developers Support the community Im down - I just hope that the waiting time in the Lobby will be reduced at some Point with a patch ^^ and the character voices/lines they talk are annoyin af haha

Re: Review: NBA 2K17 (PS4)

consolfreak1982

the game is so much better than the last one 2k16 - a huge improvement in every aspect: graphics, controls, career - I wont complain about the score here but its too low if u ask me - this here is a 9 at least. Im no Basketball Fan at all but this game is extremely good if not one of the best on the PS4 System - and I say this as one that has nothin to do with the sports at all, without knowing any in depth rules or pro strategies. I got the last one just because it was for free with psplus and it totally blew me away - the predecessor was an instant must buy for me now. One of the best and most polished games Ive played this year!

Re: Review: Moon Hunters (PS4)

consolfreak1982

Overall the game is pretty good and what I expected - its fun in coop as well, though some classes Play better than others. Love the art style and presentation of the game, the Soundtrack is by far the best the game has to offer. Gameplay is fun, some technical issues like framerate Drops/slowdowns are a huge letdown though and get hopefully patched soon.
Can resommend this to any coop Fan ^^

Re: Review: Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness (PS4)

consolfreak1982

just got this at a Sale and I must admit that - despite of ist obvious "flaws" (more of letdowns tbh) - StarOcean5 is a good JRPG afterall.
The character design ist great (love the Anime artwork here), the Story is straightforward but pushing/interesting enough without being complex or distinct.
Best part of the game is the battle System and the fluidity of the game in General - its seamless in Exploration and combat/farming and the fact that Dialogues are also "on the fly" Speeds up the experience of playin a JRPG at some pretty good Points.
Shame that the Overall Quality is missing the love for the Details - bland, empty, same-sized/shaped Locations/dungeons and a lack of Overall interaction makes the gameworld feel somewhat empty/lifeless/superficial.
The european Version has english Texts only, which is a bit of a letdown, but the english voiceovers are great!
Ist great that you have the whole Party at Hand during battle, but a shame that new weapons or Outfits are not shown on the characters.
I like the "private Actions" (small conversations between Party members) too, which are far from being that hilarous as in the Tales-of-Series, but they are amusing and sometimes funny/informative as well.
Grinding gets addicting very fast, and levelling up and learning new skills and techniques always feels rewarding. Theres also some crafting and cooking to be made, just like in any other StarOcean game.
Im far from havin finished the game, just played about 10 hrs, but its totally obvious that this is a step Forward from the last entry StarOcean4.
I wouldnt give a score yet, and I guess that all in all the score here is just fine for that game in total tbh.
Im just glad I gave this game a Chance after Hearing/reading so much mediocre and negative about it - its definitely a huge positive step up from the last StarOcean and hopefully the next installment improves on the gameplay seen in this one here and the seriens continues!
Im having fun and Im loving it - thanks for bringing back one of my beloved old RPG Series ^^

Re: Review: Slain: Back from Hell (PS4)

consolfreak1982

Ill wait for this to be on Sale someday - I do this with all those "Indie" games that interest me and found myself many many top games this way, some of them were way more fun than most "tripple A" Titles tbh.
Reviews/Scores only Show an indicator of what to expect, at least thats my Point of view on Reviews in General - its good to get a good view of all the pros and cons before buyin a game, but a mediocre or even bad score never changed my opinion on a game ever.
I had many great experiences with mediocre or even bad-scored games by now -
and I also dont think that People that are driven away by a low score are "dumb sheep" - there are some People out there that are not so well informed when it Comes to Videogames and rely on that score - and although a Review is "just an opinion", that opinion is from someone that knows the Business, the genre and what hes/shes talkin about.
Its surely not the last word spoken or the Overall truth but an indicator from someone that knows what he or she is talkin about.
Therefore it shall be respected and seen as a professional look at that game. If I believe and trust the reviewer here Im far from being a mindless braindead Zombie that just follows what others say, Im a customer that relies on a professional Analysis.

Re: Review: Amnesia: Memories (PS Vita)

consolfreak1982

since its for free this month I immediately downloaded it - after a first letdown/slow start things got tense really quick - didnt think this game has that much of dark moments and Tension! Pretty excited on whats comin next and how the Story evolves/Ends (that game is said to have some very bad endings!) - great art style too! Music is kinda of a letdown imo

Re: Review: The Banner Saga 2 (PS4)

consolfreak1982

@johncalmc thanks so much for your answer, I guess imma start where ist supposed to be and go with the first one, not very into strategy rpg (except Disgaea) but the Setting and especially the Art Style here is so intriguing I cant resist haha
Oh - I know what you mean but I haven seen any of Game of Thrones ever haha

Re: Review: Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness (PS4)

consolfreak1982

@SoulsBourne128 hmm well pretty much every JRPG has a somewhat cliched story/characters so I doubt that this is the major reason why press gave mediocre ratings - I heard of extreme frustrations regarding the save points, bland/empty environments, lots of backtracking, unneccesary side quests/fetch quests and so on

Re: Review: Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness (PS4)

consolfreak1982

thanks for the review! was expecting this to be an 8 (other gaming sites even gave lower scores!), now Im unsure - was really lookin forward to this, now Im unsure if I just go buy Tokyo Mirrage Sessions instead... still, Star Ocean was one of my most wanted games this year, since Im a huge fan of SO2 and 3 - now Im confused and unsure if the overall quality is what I have expected...

Re: Review: Umbrella Corps (PS4)

consolfreak1982

pretty sad to hear this turned out to be such a disappointment - this could have easily been a pretty fun coop experience, cant understand how they messed up such an easy concept ... would be interested in the sales of this game

Re: Round Up: Mighty No. 9's PS4 Reviews Are Not So Mighty

consolfreak1982

thats unbelievable - shame on those developers, especially Mister Inafune, well he came from Capcom after all ... omg how much was I lookin forward to this!!! But the last Trailer (the one that caused the s.storm) shocked me and I was pretty sure that MN9 would be a total mess after seing it. Best thing about this is that I did not support Kickstarter. How a concept like this can possibly fail and be ruined like that is out of any reasonable understanding. Maybe they invested all the money on Recore a while ago - who knows ...
Id only pick this up if they throw it at my way for free, sorry

Re: Review: DOOM (PS4)

consolfreak1982

well deserved score and a great review - the first review I saw that comes close to my own opinion - I got this game day one since its one of my most wanteds and its really devilish good - even better than I expected.
Havent finished the campaign yet (almost through though), and I also havent tried SnapMap, but it seems this one will keep me quite busy too.
Did anyone mention that the game is slightly brutal? LOL
And did I say I love that game? ^^
