Final Fantasy XV is getting its first slice of downloadable content next week in the form of the Holiday Pack+. It'll arrive on the 22nd December in Japan, and we imagine that a Western release can't be too far off. The pack includes a bunch of accessories that boast various effects - like more regular item drops from enemies - and 'tickets' for an event called the Moogle Chocobo Carnival that's coming in January. We'll no doubt hear more about the latter in the near future. It also contains some costumes for Noctis and picture frames for the photos that Prompto takes.

Apparently, the Holiday Pack+ will only be available to those who own the game's season pass, but it's worth mentioning that there'll be a regular, free Holiday Pack for those who don't. This'll include something called a 'Level Stopper', a new victory song, and a carnival t-shirt for Noctis, which will become available in January along with Moogle Chocobo Carnival event. Phew.

The update that launches alongside the DLC is arguably the bigger news here, though. This patch will add a New Game+ mode, allowing you to carry over your saved data into a new game. We don't know the exact details on this yet, but we assume that things like character levels and equipment will make the jump. Could be useful for when Square Enix decides to patch in these supposedly new story elements. Some picture frames for your photos will be added in this update, too.

Well, that was all rather convoluted, wasn't it? We'll let you know when all of this is hitting Western PS4s, but until then, let us know if you like the sounds of this in the comments section below.
