Evolution 2017 may be a good few months away yet, but this year's line up of fighting titles has already been decided. The annual event will play host to nine championship games in total, one of which is decided by fans through a charity donation process.

For those out of the loop, Evolution - commonly referred to as Evo - is a yearly fighting game convention, and it seems to get bigger and bigger every time it comes around. For many fans of the genre, it's the highlight of the year, with the world's best players taking part in huge tournaments, most of which offer cash prizes. These days, almost all of said tournaments are livestreamed on Twitch, so it's easier than ever to keep up with what's happening. Head over to YouTube and search for 'legenday Evo moments' or something like that - you'll see what all the hype is about.

First off, let's run down the six PlayStation brawlers that you can expect to see. Unsurprisingly, Street Fighter V and Tekken 7 will headline the event, while The King of Fighters XIV, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, and Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- add some extra anime flavour to proceedings. The yet-to-be-released Injustice 2 rounds off what promises to be a solid roster.

As for the games that you can vote for through donating, five belong to PlayStation platforms. There's Mortal Kombat XL, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Skullgirls, Nidhogg, and, er, Windjammers. If you're keen to donate and help your personal favourite make it through to the final cut, you can put down some cash through here. The title that ends up with the largest donated sum will emerge victorious.
