@Mikey856 Not difficult at all, however, there are a fair few missables with no chapter select.
I just gave a guide a fast scan at the start of each chapter. Didn't spoil the experience or story.
Time wise it took me 80 hours. The 300 missions took most of that as I did them early. If you waited to the end when you'd be OP for the majority you could shave 10 hours off easy.
100% on the DMW wheel was a bit of a PITA as it's random.
Got the platinum for ππΏπΆππΆπ ππΌπΏπ² π₯π²ππ»πΆπΌπ» which,I have to say, I enjoyed immensely. Great game and I found the dialogue rather charming. However my tolerance for anime nonsense is high!
Bit of a awkward spot now. Don't want to start anything too involved as the duo of Persona games drop in just over a week so I'm having a go at a VN from the backlog. π¦π½πΆπΏπΆπ πππ»ππ²πΏ π‘π. Seems pretty good so far.
Playing through FFVIIR again prior to giving the Yuffie DLC a go.
I must say I'm disappointed with the Intetgrade PS5 makeover. 60 fps is great but the textures are still awful. I really hope the next instalment fixes this and is truly next gen.
As an aside, it's still got the most beautiful music of any game I've ever played.
Finished a NG+ run of Persona 5 Royal for the Plat on Thursday and want to dive into ME next Friday. Doesn't seem to be anything in my backlog short enough to play in the meantime.
Don't worry you've barely scratched the surface! I've just finished a NG+ run to get the platinum and even fast forwarding a lot of the dialogue, it was still almost 100 hours.
Enjoy the ride. Best game of the last generation for me.
Really wanted to play this on console but, I guess, it'll have to go on to back burner with the other game, that shall not be named, awaiting a patch to make it playable.
On a side note, Pushsquare, maybe consider reigning in the use of the phrase "Japanese Giant". Frankly it's a bit cringe worthy. Not forgetting the fact that Sony is rather more Californian than Japanese these days?
Ever see the " No Problemo" episode of "The Inbetweeners"?
Finished Catherine: Full Body, giving Judgement a few hours to see if it sticks. . Had a little look at Death Stranding but not feeling it. Probably wait for the Xmas break for that one.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 458
@Mikey856 I also did the whole game on hard which isn't necessary as you can play on normal and just switch to hard for the final boss.
Also beat Minerva on hard which isn't needed for the platinum and needs grinding.
Skip these and I reckon a sub 50 hour platinum run is easily doable.
Have fun!

Re: Final Fantasy 16 Is Already Hyping Up a Huge Year
As soon as the release date is locked in, as much as they can be in this day and age, I'll be booking a week's leave for this.
Totally stoked to see what Yoshi-P has done.
Re: Round Up: These Are Our Game of the Year Picks So Far
Awwww I don't care.
Just popped by to say thanks for all the entertainment and information you peeps at Push Square have provided in 22.
You buggers in the comments too.
I wish you all a happy and serene New Year.
Re: Poll: Have You Completed Elden Ring?
Finished it but didn't quite enjoy it as much as the other Souls games.
For me, the open world didn't add anything.
I prefer the tighter game play of the previous games.
Also the sub par state of the PS5 version was annoying. Anyone else than From would be dragged over the coals but they always seem to get a pass.
Re: Persona 3 Portable Trophies on PS4 Ask You to Beat the Game Twice
I've actually booked 10 days off work for the (Re) release!
Safe to say I'm a fan.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Xmas 2022 Edition
Playing, and loving, Crisis Core Reunion.
Was always going to be my Xmas 22 game from the moment it's release date was announced.
I wish you all the happiest of Christmas's and a serene New Year.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 448
20 odd hours into Soul Hackers 2 and enjoying it despite the, well reported, bland dungeons.
I would say that there's better MegaTen games out there, obviously.
Re: PS5's Lighter, Revised Hardware Model Has Already Gone on Sale
3.6KG? You sure that shouldn't be 3.6g?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 384
Really enjoying Scarlet Nexus. I'm nearing the end of Yuito's play through. I'll probably play the Kasane route at a later date.
Fun combat, nice visuals, slightly bonkers anime story.

I'm having a tolerance break this week.

Re: Spiritfarer Celebrates 500,000 Sales with Free Update Out Now
Absolutely amazing game, though I'm not sure I'd describe it as "feel good" as it'll break your heart.
Highly recommended.
Re: Disco Elysium: The Final Cut Patch 1.2 Out Now on PS5, Promises to Fix Major Bugs
Reddit's saying it's still pretty busted, sadly.
Really wanted to play this on console but, I guess, it'll have to go on to back burner with the other game, that shall not be named, awaiting a patch to make it playable.
It's getting tedious now, if I'm honest.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 370
Persona 5 Strikers. Started off disliking the combat but loving seeing The Phantom Thieves again.
Now, 30 odd hours In, the combat has clicked and I love it too.
Disco Elysium is next up.
Re: Soapbox: My Colleagues Bet On How Far I'd Make It Through Final Fantasy VII Remake
@PhhhCough It's used.....wrong.
"Cream crackered" is rhyming slang for tired out.
Cream crackered = knackered.
Never heard it used in this context before.

Re: Sony Confirms PS3, PS Vita, PSP Store Closures, Downloads Will Be Retained
There's an arrogance to Sony after effectively winning the last gen.
I've a suspicion that the move to California hasn't helped either.
With this generation looking much closer they want to be careful.
A poor choice and frankly bad from Sony.

@Dan_ozzzy189
Seriously, seriously showing your age there mate!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 322
Just finished FFVIIR.
Started off seriously ambivalent towards the game, ended up as probably my second favourite game of this generation after P5 in both its iterations.
Pondering the ending and where the next instalment will take us.
Torn between starting FFX or XII remasters next. One things for sure, I'm definitely in the mood for some more Final Fantasy!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 302
God of War 4.
Itβs been in my backlog since it was released.
Itβs....Ok I guess. Certainly pretty but fairly shallow.
