@stvevan people have been crying over that price increase for going on two years now regardless if it's new or a remake. I haven't bought a new Sony game this gen because I'm not paying the $129 rrp, I wish it was just a $10 increase here.
Personally, if your gonna factor in price to reviews, then a Buy it at Full Price, Wait for a Sale, or Never Buy recommendations should be used across the board on all games.
As for TLoU, it's definitely a 10 to me but I won't be buying it until a steep discount, like I've done for most PS games.
https://www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps5/demons_souls "Changes have been made to the visuals, vocal performances, cutscenes, animations, and user interface – but this is still very much the same Demon’s Souls. You’ll create a character, pick a class, play through a series of stages, and die a bunch. Enemies behave exactly as they used to, useful items still sit in precisely the same locations, and the game’s slightly convoluted Tendency systems remain untouched. There’s no radical reinvention here, and this game is all the better for it.
The lack of systemic changes serves to make this an excellent experience for both newcomers and veterans; fresh eyes will be able to appreciate and witness the raw vision of the original Demon’s Souls brought into the modern age, while veterans will pick up on the tiniest of consistencies that show how committed Bluepoint must’ve been to ensuring that FromSoftware’s original creative vision went unaltered. The attention to detail is staggering."
A nice list of games to play and platinum 👏 Let's see how many I have of these
Astro's Playroom ☑️ Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart ☑️ Life Is Strange: True Colours ❌ got the 💯% on Xbox though Spider-Man Remastered ❌ not yet, I do have all the PS4 trophies though Deathloop ❌ Guardians of the Galaxy ❌ another 💯% on Xbox Horizon Forbidden West ❌ God of War ❌ Ghost of Tsushima ☑️ Destiny 2 ❌
Christopher Tolkien really was a stalwart for his father's legacy. He cared deeply for his father's name and works. He is sorely missed since his passing.
I'm here for this. I've always wanted more games to take place in Australia, and one that has a Fallout/Mad Max apocalypse setting? Yes please. Just hoping there is some actual mutated drop bears in the game. And a hoop snake or two.
@Luigia yeah I need to restart the story sooner or later. I didn't play much of it when it first released so I'll be starting from scratch and seeing it out this time.
@RedRiot193 yes I did put content in quotes because I'm sick of how some use it as a basis for arguing if a game is worth it or not. For me it's become a negative buzzword, mostly due to all the "it's all about content" "gotta keep putting content out" mantra that folks use.
But we've known Factions 2 is its own thing for sometime now so I couldn't care less about there being no multiplayer included. And I honestly don't care about the whole price argument either which is why I never said anything about it in my first post. You either think a game is worth the rrp or you don't.
@RedRiot193 dude there were and are plenty of people who said it's not that big an improvement in the graphics department and some even said it looks worse. That's what I'm talking about.
If you don't think it's worth the price because of less "content", don't buy it. I'm not getting it day one either.
Looks great. I'm currently deep into a grounded+ playthrough atm so won't be picking this up right away but damn, it looks like the the definitive way to play and experience this game for sure.
And all those who said it don't look any different or worse, just take the L. LOL
This sounds like a great night in, but those seven friends need to own the game as well. It would be better to have a one-time up-to-7 friend pass. How many friends will own this, then want to join in and just vote when they've already played it (multiple times)? Having a one time friend pass might even boost sales if they enjoy it enough.
Looks like something I'd like a lot. Plus made by 2 guys over 5 years, something worth supporting. Don't know if I'll pick it up for PS5 or Switch yet though.
This is great news! I very much enjoyed Death Mark and just bought NG on sale. The Japanese certainly do make some incredible horror experiences.
Somewhat related, I'm currently playing through a slick indie psychological horror VN called Corpse Factory. It's very Japanese but was made here in Australia by way of Melbourne. Only on Switch and PC so far. Recommended.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give The Last of Us: Part I?
@stvevan I did compare apples to apples, Demon's Souls.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give The Last of Us: Part I?
@Juanalf why is that though? I don't see how that should matter at all. Did the new Demon's Souls review factor in price? That got a 10/10.
As for Ragnarok, that's obviously a last gen game given a new coat of paint and sold at PS5 prices. Surely that should factor in the review score.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give The Last of Us: Part I?
I can't wait for free-to-play games to be marked up a couple points on account of the price.
You either factor in price on all reviews or none. I don't see why this game gets special treatment.
Re: Supermassive Games' Next Title in Development, Could Stray from Teen Horror Genre

Re: Test Your PlayStation General Knowledge - Issue 15
You scored 5 out of 15
Another filthy casual score this week. That's two in a row now. 🙁
Re: Upcoming Shin-chan PS4 Game Has All the Boku no Natsuyasumi Vibes
Can't decide if I want this on Switch or PS5. I need to see the trophies. But either way this looks a good time.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 438
I'll be mounting up in RDR2 Online for most of the weekend, and a little bit of Factions as I've only got six weeks to go.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 437
@Luigia yeah I need to restart the story sooner or later. I didn't play much of it when it first released so I'll be starting from scratch and seeing it out this time.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 437
Started up RDR2 Online so I'll be working my way up to be the ultimate cowboy from hell over the coming months.
Also continuing with Factions. The only two trophies left after finishing up the Survivor playthrough of the Left Behind dlc.

Re: Until Dawn, The Quarry Dev Acquired by Nordisk Games
Sounds like this is a good outcome for Supermassive. I highly enjoy what they do and looking forward to The Devil in Me.
I hought they had an 8 game deal with Bamco, the 2 seasons of Dark Pictures Anthology games, but I could be mistaken.
Re: Set During WWI, Ad Infinitum Gives New Meaning to the Horrors of War
Yeah, very jittery but does look nice. Plenty of potential.

Amazing visuals, okay gameplay, okay story
Disappointed with the platinum, too easy, no need to collect everything and upgrade everything, no need for a new game plus

9/15
Surprised it was that high at the end, felt like I was getting a lot wrong.
