@Lowdefal This, and no one cares which one is more powerful. Sony, and especially Cerny, always manage to make hardware that's still very powerful. But these days, it's the performance that counts, not the specs. And they've already figured that out. Welcome PlayStation 6 with jaw-dropping graphics for 499.
Yeah, Mario Galaxy, come on, if they sold more of those, they might as well shut down PlayStation. As fun as those games are, they're just another easy cash grab.
@Sakai So because you don't find anything you like, it's junk? Okay, logic is spot on. I'm perfectly happy with PS Premium for €80 a year. And I just buy the games I like.
@IOI because they are also the producers of the Spider-Man movies. And those were good. Although. I enjoyed myself to the max with Kraven. It's all okay.
@RoomWithaMoose That's not certain at all, we won't know what happens until the game comes out. It probably won't be a mega release like gta 6. But you can't compare this to a GTA.
Yes of course Ps Plus costs money. Netflix too, Gamepass too. But you do get a choice of different games to play every month, whether it's your taste or not. A service always costs money. But then you don't have to offer a game for ten bucks. There are enough people who bought the game for the full price or in a sale. So they have much more right. You are not obliged to take ps plus extra or premium. Essential is also mandatory, unless you want to play online. But there are enough great games (certainly on Playstation) that don't need that. Yes, of course €50 is way too much money. But it will naturally become a lot cheaper. Not that suddenly everyone wants and needs to play Days Gone.
A shame? this has always been the case, they might as well give it away for free. Nice for sites to get clicks again. No, Sony is simply right. If you bought the game before, it is only fair that you can buy it for ten bucks. If you got it "for free" with PS Plus, you simply pay for it.
@thefourfoldroot1 Yes, you are right that Sony does not always communicate very well. But I always think that they solve it well. Suppose there was a major hack and they immediately turned the button to protect our personal data. I can imagine that they would not immediately announce something like that. I always think that when a major service is down, the reactions of people online create a lot of hate towards the company. While we have no idea what is going on. And maybe there is a good reason for that. Microsoft also does not communicate when the Xbox network is down, but you never hear anything about that. But somehow Sony always has to explain everything and can never do anything right.
@thefourfoldroot1 That depends of course, first of all what do they have to tell you? Is that exciting to know? Or can they use their time better to work on a solution behind the scenes. I don't care at all why psn was down, what I do care about is that it will work again, and that's what it does now anyway? Problem solved. When xbox is down I never read anything about it but when it happens with Playstation it's on all the news sites in the world.
Yes because strong hardware does indeed sell well...that man can talk a lot of nonsense. He wants to justify everything that is wrong. Just accept that they can't compete with Sony and continue with what they are doing now. Personally, the range of games in the pipeline is currently stronger than at Sony. But that is also because I think Sony has not announced more than half of them yet.
@KeenAerondight This, I think they learned their lesson. Otherwise it's goodbye Playstation, And I know for 100% sure they don't want that. (And neither do I )
Unforgivable is also a nice exaggeration. The fact is that most of us are not waiting for Live service Well, Sony has (finally) realized that now and is continuing with what made them big and first. Done. Nice fodder for social media, but that's the order of the day these days. Just look at the Switch 2. 10 years ago you didn't have all that whining and leaking. Everyone angry on the internet because Nintendo would be too late? No! Just stop releasing those stupid leaks. People believe EVERYTHING on social media these days. When is that worldwide blackout coming? That would be a good reset for 48 hours. Maybe we'll all start thinking again.
To be honest I always think that Sony invests a lot of time in new studios. The result is always good in terms of technology, appearance and quality of personnel.
What a load of nonsense. I never think much of those "analysts". 12 years ago they said that Gaikai would push Sony and Microsoft out of the console market......Then Sony took over Gaikai. This is just a bit of bravado in the hope that as many news sites as possible will write about it. And that works quite well.
This is actually quite sad, the same goes for that Horizon clone from Tencent. They really can't come up with anything themselves I believe. I'm more looking forward to Park Ranger Simulator, from Aerosoft. They do have good simulation games. But that's not Shovelware
@KoopaTheGamer Oh, iPhones and Samsung phones are also quite overpriced. Yet they keep selling. Whether you can afford a pro or not. I can buy one if I wanted to. But I don't care about the added value. I'd rather leave that 799 euros in my savings account and buy a PS6 in the future. And then I can also buy a Switch 2 from it, You're right, by the way. But saving is also an option if you really want something.
But why down the drain? Because it might not be your taste. But that has nothing to do with the quality of the games. There are enough who think these are good games. and maybe December will be more to someone else's taste.
@DonJorginho Yes of course, Sony wants quality and if a game doesn't deliver they are done with it very quickly. I say put it on ps plus for free and give it good updates. Stop that live service crap and make real games Hermen. I grew up with Playstation but this is far below par. Playstation for the Players... make sure it's happening.
I don't know but something about a series S could be the reason it's delayed on Xbox. And in Asia I think PS sold 5 times as many as Xbox. So launching on Playstation first isn't such a crazy choice.
Just look at new sortware, just for fun count how many idiotic games from aaiaeastsoft xiuani ltd piapia. and 100e worth of nonsense chinese crap in there. I mean, there must be some really good developers in there. But the same goes for the car industry. At some point we'll be flooded with too much crap.
I must honestly say that I enjoyed reading your story! really genuinely interesting. I didn't know that story either. In fact, I'm going to look into it a little more. And it indeed gives a nice look at the situation. But still, this is neither the Sony nor the Microsoft of 10 years ago. I think that today a completely different management approach is needed to keep things running. It remains to be seen whether the right approach is sometimes chosen. But I do think Hermen knows what he is doing. In that respect, I honestly think he has more in mind for the industry than Phil Spencer. But that's my personal view on console land. And if Hermen had worked for Xbox and Phil for Playstation it would have been exactly the other way around.

Yeah, yeah, he decided for it. Sony has nothing to do with it. If you don't do your job properly, they'll take action. Their money, their rules.

No, that looks too much like Call of Wuty, and that's not allowed. Chinese companies are very keen on patents.
