That's not a great leap forward, because the law of diminishing returns applies. The difference between 90Hz and 120Hz is not as significant as 30Hz and 60Hz.
What did they expect? It was a sequel to a moderately-known game that released 13 years prior. They made the PC-version exclusive to the Epic Store, and they initially refused to release a physical version for consoles.

On the base PS5 with a 120 Hz display, the Fidelity mode outputs dynamic 4K / 40-60 Hz with ray-tracing, so the gap between this and the PS5-Pro is even slimmer.

I find Ubisoft a sad case, akin to a dementia-patient. Once every 10 years or so, they wake up and deliver a fun game like Rayman Legends. But then their eyes glaze over, they slump back in their armchair, and push out another Assassin's Creed turd.

@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy USA-prices do not include tax. So £35 (post-tax) is roughly the same as $30 (pre-tax)
