Writer 1 (takes puff from joint) "Well, everyone hated all the cartoon stuff like Beavis and Butthead and Nicki Minaj. What should we do next year?"
Writer 2 (does line of coke) "I know, let's have a boss fight with a human kaiju!"
Room erupts in cheers
Writer 3 (shoots up H needle) "Yeah man, in another part they can fight a plant!"
Screams of ecstasy fill the room.
Writer 4 (the bath salts are out) "Dude for the final boss have him teleport every time you shoot at him!"
Room is complete chaos
Writer 1 "We're done here!"

I'm actually one of the weirdos who liked 4 way better than part 3. I much prefer the entries of Solid Snake instead of Big Boss, and this was an amazing and perfect send off. Can't wait to dive in again when the 2nd collection releases.

I wasn't planning on getting any new consoles (the prices are just getting too insane), but if they follow up on the tease at the end of Lies of P, I would buy a new console just to play that.

@Art_Vandelay Great point. I know it's only a matter of time, but I just don't like the idea of being trapped in there too long, as cool as it is. I've been looking into AR glasses a little because I like the idea, but will probably skip those as well. I don't need all that stuff. Take care!

The last trailer was really underwhelming but I read they've reworked it since then. My only issue is, I don't want to give Ubisoft money anymore. I still have the original on PS3 hooked up so can play that anytime. This would have to be top tier to get me to purchase it, but thankfully I am positive with Ubisoft making it it will be a bare bones shell of its former self.

I have the PSVR 1, and it is amazing tech, but after like 20 minutes in it I'm done for the day. Until it becomes lighter and wireless, there's just so much you can take. I know the 2 improves on this, but not enough. Plus I hate that there is no backwards compatibility with 1. Aside from the games, I would love to actually sit through a movie with it but can't. I have a lot of 3d movies and they look amazing in VR.

This game was really disappointing. It had great characters, was gorgeous, but just felt like playing an interactive movie or a Quantic Dreams game without the quick time events.

I'm American, and absolutely loved Thank Goodness You're Here. It was incredibly idiotic and absolutely hilarious. Total banger! Still Wakes the Deep is outstanding as well. The DLC, not so much.

@BusyOlf I've seen clips of that but fortunately it hasn't happened to me yet. Most people are still being pretty chill.

I only play the campaigns, and have bought every single yearly COD game since they started. I usually enjoy them, although they've been underwhelming for a while now. But after seeing the preview this year, I can't anymore. Not buying this year. Not doing Battlefield either as the Saudis will never see a cent from me.

@BusyOlf I've had occasional firefights with other players, but mostly people have been pretty chill. I did accidentally shoot at one guy a few days ago. I literally stopped and said sorry but it was too late, he gunned me down. I deserved that one.

I played the beta of this quite extensively. The same week, I had 2 new games but I didn't touch them because I could not stop playing this. It was so effin good. I did have technical issues with occasional graphic slowdown, but just chalked it down to being a beta. Outside of that though, it's a masterpiece. I am quite literally amazed that this is a free title.

This is so not my kind of game since I'm a solo player and am tired of alwaya getting ganged up on. But I gave this a try, and it is so refeshing playing with other likeminded solos. I've been encountering other players who have been super chill and just left me alone. Such a nice change of pace.

I really hope so, but I've been patiently waiting for this for YEARS now. This game just looks absolutely phenomenal and I can't wait to play it.

Long wait but understandable. Had to watch the trailer again. As a Miami native, even though this is a fictional version of it it is literally amazing how they so nailed the city in this. This is so realistic I could have sworn I saw friends of mine in the trailer. Can't wait.

It's amazing how far emulation has come. I started building an arcade in my house in 2017 using Arcade 1ups. First started modding them with Raspberry Pis, now I am using PCs. I have one self made 1, then 2 from a company called Buy Stuff Arcades who I highly recommend looking into if you want to go this route. I also have a digital pinball machine with a Nintendo Switch attached, and another Arcade 1up with a PS4. I emulate pretty much everything from the Magnavox up to the Switch and everything in between, including arcades games. It's fun just to skim for new games as well as playing favorites. There are 6 machines total, and it's been a really fun hobby, although I probably work on the machines tweaking them more than actually playing.

This game has been a ton of fun, especially playing split screen with both of my kids. I think it's way better than Mario Kart.

@PuppetMaster I saw it at Best Buy for $60 USD, and the collector edition double that. Way too much for a side scrolling retro game if you ask me.

I've always been a PS player. The last few generations there were only a small handful of games on Xbox that interested me. Now, I am finally playing them on my PS5 and love it. I want Xbox players to enjoy the same thing. I hated the whole "my console is better than yours" crap. I don't understand why anyone would be against their favorite games reaching a wider audience.

Yes, and loving it so far. Not only is it an amazing game, but it's a worthy successor to the movies, just as good as Raiders and the Last Crusade.

Working through Another Crab's Treaure before Indy dominates my life next week. Surprisingly brilliant game, and hilarious too!

@hugoadan Oh man I loved Stuntmaster. Great game. I put it on an arcade machine and was playing it a few months ago. I had forgotten how good it was. Also loved Rise to Honor with Jet Li.

This looked really cool until I watched a gameplay demo. There is "being inspired" by a game, and there is also ripping off a game. This looks to be the latter.

Good selection of 2 games I already own. Think Robocop will surprise a lot of people, it was way better than expected. It's always really cool getting a game sequel to a decades old movie, like with the Ghostbusters game. Wish they would make more of these. TCM was ok.

Still playing it. Loved the demo and broke my no preorder rule for it. Disheartening review, but to each their own. This is the game that finally made Souls games click for me after years of attempts.

Really excited for Khazan. The demo was brilliant.

Lies of P. After years of never really getting the Souls games, this one finally clicked with me. Now I want to play them all!

Good for them. Wish I could say the same. I pre-ordered the Star Wars Battlefront 2 collection. On the day it came out, I tried playing split screen with my daughter. We tried 5 matches, and were kicked out of every single one within 2 minutes. Sony then denied my refund stating the game would "eventually be patched" even though my playtime was about 20 minutes. I was furious. Of course, the game was eventually patched, but good luck finding a server with other players on it.

Damm I just bought Dragon Age last week! Enjoying it so far though.

Just thinking about the spike wall makes me cringe, but will happily play through them again. Especially killing Perseus in GOW 2 as I was a huge fan of the original Clash of the Titans when I was a kid....they even had the same actor play him.

Pirate Yakuza and going to give Dark Souls a try. Always stayed away from the Souls gamed due to the difficulty, but after beating Black Myth Wukong I decided to give it a try. Happy gaming everyone!

This is the same idiot who recently said that gamers need to get used to not "owning'" their games after making a decision to deactivate several games. I'm playing the Beta and I do like it, but it is not worth the price tag. It's a very repetive live service formula of just running back and forth and doing the same things over and over to improve your ships and standing. It's good mindless fun, but I don't see it lasting in the long run.
