I don't get what this update does?

@Ken_Kaniff That's why Sony buying them would be a good thing, they wouldn't go under then. Plus don't forget that the boss of Square Enix is changing in June to someone else, maybe everything will turn around once that happens.

@ShogunRok I doubt though if this ABK deal goes through that Microsoft wouldn't even be allowed anymore to buy another publisher after the size of this one.

How much could Microsoft still be able to spent even after this ABK deal?

@Tharsman Silly question but what's the purpose of Microsoft knowing all the arrangements and agreements etc that Sony has made with all these 3rd party developers anyway? So they can what? Bring those games now to Xbox?

Looking forward to finding out the FF7 Remake exclusivity, it's bound to be there. Then we'll know why it hasn't been on Xbox and for how long it will be off of Xbox.

Of course it is, it's conditioning people to not want to pay for games. Jim Ryan has always known this and that's why Sony won't do the day one releases.

@Almost_Ghostly No, it's not pathetic. And it's good for the console to have an Internet browser because it allows you to watch movies or anime on your TV instead of your phone or tablet.

It is pathetic PS5 not having one, it's 2023. Everything has an Internet browser these days, even the PS3 has one and that was over 15 years ago.

It just shows it was possible all along, they should of done this as standard. Also, PS5 still doesn't have a dedicated internet browser and media player like Xbox does, absolutely pathetic in 2023.

Good to see Sony moving on from PS4 and making it PS5 only now. Nothing against PS4 but I don't like to see PS5 games being held back because of it.

The normal PS5 controller lasts about 6 hours too.

@LiamCroft Could you tell me whether motion sickness is less with PSVR2 than the first one? That's the only reason why I don't bother with VR otherwise I would. I remember trying the first one and I had major motion sickness when playing RE7 VR. Until they figure out a way to stop motion sickness I can't have VR.

I wonder how the Trophies will work? I can't see every game in this collection having a seperate Platinum Trophy each. If they do then that's 6 Platinum Trophies for the entire collection.

@FatalBubbles I still don't get it? So Sony are making a new PS5 model that allows a disc drive to be connected to it and detached if you want to? I'd imagine that would be more expensive that way since they now have to make a seperate drive as well as the new PS5 model. Why not just make a new PS5 model that simply has a disc drive built in?

I do not understand this? If Sony are making a detachable disc drive for people who have the PS5 with no disc drive, why not just make one PS5 that is disc only?
