The First Berserker: Khazan developer Neople has confirmed it'll make a PS5 demo of the game available next week on Thursday, 16th January 2025 ahead of the full game release in March. The demo will be available indefinitely, so there is no need to worry about playing it immediately.
If you do like what you play, the game is available to pre-order now for £49.99 / $59.99 on the PS Store ahead of its 27th March 2025 release date. With Final Fantasy 16 lead Ben Starr voicing the main character, The First Berserker: Khazan is pitched as a "hardcore action RPG" that's based in the Dungeon Fighter Online universe. This IP has taken a couple of different forms, including an MMO and a 2D side-scrolling brawler.
"Set 800 years before the events of DnF, the game unfolds on the continent of Arad and explores the untold story of Khazan, the first Berserker. Players will experience Khazan's legendary journey firsthand as they master intricate and engaging combat mechanics and strategic battles that bring his epic tale to life," the PS Store description explains.

I've been waiting for the moment this game could become interesting to me and it still hasn't come yet. Hopefully the demo can sway me.
Love to see it. Would love more demos in general, especially snips of some of the early access stuff PC gamers get access to for games that eventually come to console. No Rest for the Wicked or Hades 2 snapshot demo would be aces. Will definitely check this out.
Uh there was already a demo wasn't there?
At least I played it already (for 5 minutes, then deleted it like so often)
Looks pretty mid. I might try the demo, and appreciate that there is one, but still...looks so meh.
Love demos. I'm glad they seem to be making a comeback of sorts.
Whether the game is good or bad (recognizing that's subjective, so this is as it applies to each player) I think it's good for the developer. For good games it pulls in a larger audience, and for bad games it lets the people who won't like it turn away without becoming angry customers who feel cheated. A demo that doesn't excite you doesn't bring the same emotions that a bad game you dropped money on can bring.
Nice we can read on the tweet it's also on other consoles and PC.
The beta thoroughly put me off this one.
Just feels bad to control.
Well I for one am really looking forwards to this. The graphics look very stylish and the action is just my cup of tea. I'll play the demo but I already know I'm going to purchase this.
Nothing about this looks exciting, but I’ll definitely try the demo. I thought that way about Stellar Blade too, and boy did that demo make me do a 180, and what an incredible time I had with is on release!
So you never know…
So… do you pronounce the developer like people with an N?
I tried the beta for a bit, but lost interest. It didn’t do much to stand out from any other soulsborne like games
Oh most definitely. This is my most anticipated game of 2025 so far.
