Re: Soapbox: The Wait for GTA 6 on PS5 Will Be Excruciating

@get2sammyb These are my EXACT thoughts…with a few addendums:
The GTA series was a staple of my childhood through San Andreas. Then it fell off for me. I have started GTA V now 3 to 4 times. I last stopped at the submarine mission…you know the one. I just can’t seem to make my way through it, and at this point, I don’t think I’m going to. I am A huge fan of single player, open world sandboxes, and the clunky of V always loses my attention eventually.
That being said, no one makes an open world quilt like Rock*, and if the gameplay looks even close to what the trailer looked like, I’m all in. The hype is real, and 2025 is a LONG way away.

I’m FOR SURE older than you are, as I can remember the day I opened my Super Nintendo on Christmas, but I can also FOR SURE remember the first time I played Final Fantasy VII on PlayStation. You mention nostalgia in this article. Simply reading this article has flooded my grey matter with so much nostalgia, that I couldn’t help but read it without a smile on my face living vicariously through your AND simultaneously through mine. Beautifully written.

This may be removed for being “un constructive” but I’m going to post it anyway: Top 3 best voices in my lifetime:
1) Sir David Attenborough (I would call him a national treasure, but I’m American…he’s a world wide treasure.)
2) Morgan Freeman. A national treasure.
3) Aaron Bayne.
I could listen to all 3 of you read a phone book and be pleasantly soothed.

Re: Star Kaitlyn Dever Could Be The Last of Us TV Show's Abby

I am the only person that I know that watched the show, and played the games. This being a video game website, I understand the comments. But the show is not pandering to the video game crowd. They have already proven that in the (FANTASTIC) first season, and everyone I know that didn’t play the game, loved the show. The show is its own thing.
Yes. The actor cast is going to have to put up with some truly reprehensible internet trolls who value their “she doesn’t look like I think she should look” opinion way more than they actually should. The only thing that should matter is if the actor is right for the story the show is telling.

I’m playing it. I’m a couple hours in, and genuinely enjoying it, but at the moment it is OVERWHELMING! I’m going to stick with it, as I’m sure I’ll get used to the systems, but I REALLY wish some of the things were explained a lot better. Low key hoping they’ll release a patch with better tutorials.
