It’s my favorite Final Fantasy game, and one of my favorite games of all time.

@HRdepartment this game released in FFFFFFAAAAAARRRRRR better condition than Cyberpunk did. That was hardly even a game at all when it launched.

I never have the time to put in more than a couple hours at a time, and I’ve had zero issues on my standard ps5. Also, the game is fun as hell. Thoroughly enjoying it. Kind of a bummer that people who genuinely want to enjoy it who are having these uber frustrating issues.

@Mr_Singh It’ll probably be a Fortnite-esque battle pass type situation. Different cosmetics and whatnot.

The 2 out of 10 review score tells me they aren’t going to be having this problem for very long…

@Northern_munkey Same. I’ve never used the wish list once, and I’m not entirely sure what purpose it serves.

@Oram77 They won’t. Studios are going to be avoiding that launch window like the plague. There’s been an article written about that very thing, on this very website. Studios are giving GTA 6 a pretty wide berth…as they should.

I’m an avid Push Square community member. Check it out every day. I pick and choose what I comment on, but, regardless…I’m here every day. That being said…this is the first time I remember hearing of this game. There have probably been articles, that I’ve read, but don’t remember reading them. I’m a middle aged man, so maybe it’s a me problem, my middle aged memory has failed me before but something tells me…this is not the case in this instance. Single player, story driven games are my type of games, but I’ll hold off on spending my hard earned money until some game play footage/review scores are out.

Maybe other people’s definition of the word “abysmal” differs from mine, but…come on, folks…this game is not appallingly/offensively bad. That King Kong, and Gollum game were abysmal, to the point the option to vote on them were not even put up by this website.
P.S. it’s an 8 for me.

The combat looked remedial, and the voice acting was REALLY flat. I’m going to root for it to be good, but my expectations based on this, a 5 minute clip of an unfinished build, are low. Hopefully they can pull to together.

@Balosi GREAT call. I LOVED Umbrella Academy, and that last season was underwhelming, to say the least. That show deserved better. Lost also collapsed under its own weight, and don’t even get me started on the last 2 seasons of Dexter…

@playstation1995 I was THIS CLOSE to buying Robocop on sale a month or two ago. Glad I held out. I’m super stoked for that one!

This was the game that truly got me in to gaming. It was just about when I was old enough to, not only get a firm grasp on a battle system, but (and much more importantly) got me in to a story. Got me caring about characters. Immersed me in a world that had stakes. Got me…fully invested in an adventure. I, legitimately, don’t care how many units it moved. It moved me. Even at an age when I couldn’t truly appreciate it, it has stuck with me, and shaped the kind of games I wanted to play moving forward. This game is an ALL TIME great.

Look. I’ve never played this game, and I probably never will. This goes out to the people that voted “abysmal” to this game, and every other game that has received a poll. A synonym of “abysmal” is “appalling”. This game (or any other game that’s received a poll on this website for that matter) appalls you? It’s horrifyingly bad? Just click “terrible” and stop being so dramatic. There. I said it.

Do you guys that think this is a bad thing realize how legal systems in developed countries operate? You know what…Nevermind. Nothing I say is going to your points of view. Ignorance is bliss, right?

@EfYI You don’t think that Microsoft should try to sell their games to their biggest competitor at a regular asking price? How did you think this was going to go?

@nessisonett While I’m inclined to agree with you, If the game is even remotely close to as a good/delightfully weird/bat s**t crazy as Disco Alysium, they will be getting my money. I adore that game.

As a rabid baseball fan, this game is my jam. I consider myself a student of the game, and these story lines alone have taught me so much. The production value is great, and Bob Kendrick is the perfect ambassador for retelling of negro league history. So enthusiastic. He’s clearly a man that loves his job. If you’re a baseball fan, and a fan of the history of the game, I cannot recommend these highly enough.

This guy is a dream come true for War Horse studio kind of goes to show what can happen when you treat your people right. He clearly had a blast playing the role, and was clearly treated well by the team that created the game. With all the news of games being cancelled, and studios being shut down…this is a breath of fresh air. This is how a game studio should be run. Treat your people right, and they reciprocate. Love it.

I do it every year for MLB The Show [insert year here]. But I do it for the other incentives it offers (stubs, packs, cards, etc…) the early access is just an added bonus. I might be part of the problem, but…sorry, not sorry.

@HonestHick RDR2 is my all time favorite game as well. I recently started another play through. Been a couple years since I played it last. Figured it was time.

@OldGamer999 I feel like you need to adjust your expectations. Microsoft didn’t start porting over the IPs to PlayStation…Their rival…for free. They’re trying to make money, and they’re good at making money. The chances of them EVER giving PlayStation owners a free game because they already bought it on Xbox are EXTREMELY slim. There is about a 2% (rough estimate) chance of that ever happening.

Looks like a straight up fever dream. I’m not sure if that’s meant to be complimentary or not…

@Kingy I’m too old for pwned. I did have a fairly successful “bring back the high five” campaign amongst my friends and co-workers…for whatever that is worth. Probably nothing.

@CJD87 I have (I think) the same question. I don’t think they have to be played chronologically, as that most certainly did not look like Elden Ring graphics, but if you were to start with any game you chose, if you got 3 games in to it, and took a random hit, do you have to go all the way back to game 1? Or do you start over on the game you took the hit?

To answer your question at the end of the article…which ever one is finished (ACTUALLY finished. Not Cyber Punk initial launch state finished) first.

I realize this isn’t a super popular opinion amongst the regulars of this website, but I’m looking forward to this game. As a 42 year old man 10 and 2 year old boys, (a lot of energy) plus a wife that I adore; and that rely on my financial support, there isn’t a whole lot of time for my favorite hobby.
Point being:
I have plenty of IRL options (bumps, bruises, poop, etc…) to ruin my immersion. Sometimes an obvious map marker is a welcomed guide post.

@Frmknst You will never understand the mainstream, as we will never understand the contrarian. But the first iteration was misunderstood by the mainstream, and was under-appreciated. Do you have an option where the developer wins?

Turning this off the first thing I did after I booted mine up for the first time. Literally…the first thing.

Imagine living such a charmed life that the biggest thing you have to complain about is the appearance of a video game character. Imagine being so unburdened in life that you feel like complaining about something that, doesn’t actually affect your life in any conceivable way, is a valuable use of your time. Unbelievable.

Bullet Storm was a real good time. This story is not. Merry Christmas, everyone.
