Thanks just bought it. To be honest, I buy every experience from this game as they are amazing bite size VR moment.

I was not under the impression that it would be ready for current gen.

@czDante92 Exactly! MS bring us your games and don’t you dare charge us the same price as you charge your old loyal customers!

Only Sony has the right to charge us the same price for Miles Morales as it did on its release even though the game as no real post launch support. How does MS dare releasing more games on PS then Sony and expect us to pay full price for them. The game should be given to us on PS Plus at this point since it’s free on gamepass.

Ok Sony, now if you want to show how committed you are to life service games and show that you know best what gamer want then they do, greenlight the sequel Days Gone never got!

I don’t have a 8k TV, but seeing 8k on my box I really thought that it confirmed that 4K wouldn’t be a problem, which is not exactly true either…

@Intr1n5ic Seeing how the last few years evolved… the best version of GTA VI will likely be a few months after release…

So with the new trend of releasing exclusive 1-2 years after their debut on the PS5, it means that by the time the PS5 get its next installment of a major franchise, PC will be pretty much on par in term of titles…. Pretty sure it’s will be the time when they start to release titles on PC and PS5 at about the same moment…

While the interface is okay, I miss being able to save a single image that gives a complete summary like last year, I like to keep those to compare.

@spoonard While I do agree that VR2 could use it, it’s far from its biggest problem at the moment, as long as people have trouble with the clarity of the headset more power won’t help. Also there aren’t that many title that are properly pushing VR2 at the moment, most of the time poor optimization or lack of foveated rendering are the problem.

I like my VR2 but can’t deny that it seams that there’s so much untapped potential at the moment and more power won’t really solve that.

So many subscriptions services still see growth even with price increase and investors likes it as means perpetual revenues up to a point, therefore I could see that Sony avoid the subject if they do less well than many other subscriptions services, especially if these are not a big part of their overall revenue.

I don’t understand this way of thinking. If a business doesn’t make enough money it will have to cut cost, in this case it’s sad because human being are on the chopping block, but at the same time a company that spend too much for too long will just shut down and then even more people lose their job…

@Member_the_game The Nintendo part I disagree with… Recently bought a Xbox Series X to play Twilight Princess, Windwaker, Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask (the last two are on NSO but I would have bought them, I don’t want to subscribe to the high tier just for two games)… And to be honest I loved to see all the other games I already had access too when I plugged it because of my part purchase on older generation.

@Lukasamba When I got the PS5 there was the PS Plus Collection (but then again i loose it if I unsuscribe) that was nice but I had to start from scratch collecting games because I skipped the PS4 even though I had all other PS consoles. Since then I’ve been able to get Twisted Metal 2 for free when Sony added it to the subscription service… But there’s so many other games I’m reluctant on re-buying just to be able to play them on my current PS… This is a big contrast with Xbox

@Zeke68 Hardly a monopoly if they only get one company… as for the monopoly on their IPs, yes that might be true but at the same time it may be that they think not enough care are put into them… one could hardly say that the avengers game, the launch state of the Jedi games and the predatious monetization of the gameloft games make them look good.

@Mad001 I read his biography last year, quite an interesting fellow I would say… yes he’s a business guy, but he still care about the product. I think he left Disney in a pretty spot the first time but came back as a CEO with a company in a more difficult situation in a more difficult time…

To each their own… but there’s no must buy for me in this list, maybe try Final Fantasy, Like a Dragon, Prince of Persia and Alone in the dark if they ever come to ps plus extra or get dirt cheap.

But Elden Ring DLC might be nice, I guess I’ll know when I’ll try Elden Ring… just haven’t been a fan or their other title for now… but I heard Elden ring my be different…

@LiamCroft While I do not know enough about the subject to have an opinion, I think saying that voice actor are the one that makes video game possible is a bit of a stretch…

Very few games are dependant on a specific voice actor and I think that while voice actor are part of the process they are a very small part of it. I don’t think that the last bayonetta or the next Mario (to name 2 of the biggest recent voice actor change that comes to mind) will sell any less copy because of the change in voice actor. A lot of games don’t use any voice actor and still make it pretty well. To be honest, while I appreciate their contribution, I can name very few of them and I never decide what game to play on wether or not a voice actor have a contribution to the project or not…

@Sil_Am This will likely make PS5 the generation to forget given all those cross gen title, between now and the time they release PS5 successor, many of these titles will likely again be cross gen with the new one, leaving the PS5 with few games made specifically for it.

@Triumph741 Then again one could argue that they may have better value if they made better marketing or that lack of marketing might hurt the consumer confidence with the brand in the long run.

No doubt they must have a reason for doing what they’re doing, might be marketing, might be lack of things to show or it might be to keep things more low profile during the MS Activision saga. But no matter the reason from the outside things look rather hard to understand.

@MrGawain I think you’re missing the point… Apple TV+ was never meant to compete with other Streaming services in a traditional way… it about half to a third the price of other streaming services for only original content and most of it is of rather good quality…

I might be wrong but as of now it’s the only streaming service with an original that won best pictures at the academy awards…

@NEStalgia I thought they would be pretty similar but in fact I find myself more involved in BS as it not just slicing notes but the direction also matter.

Synth Rider feel more like dancing while BS is according to some like drumming/playing the Jedi. Soundtrack is also more mainstream when it comes to DLC so if more accessible music is important to you there’s that.

In the end they’re like Lasagna and Spaghetti, technically the same but at the same time very different.

Hum… as much as I love Sony, can’t help but feel like this is a bit of a cheat as they include PC port of their best games.

I think it should include only original release or remake (but not remaster and ports)… Case in point does it mean that Bethesda get one freebie every year since they pretty much always release a new port of Skyrim?

@StylesT Given that you might have the first one from PS Plus and will be able to upgrade to the PSVR2 version for 10$, I’d say the first one seems a logical choice…

If you don’t have the first one from Ps Plus and no upgrade path than I guess I would still go with the first given that I like narrative with choice and dilemma which they say is not in this one. (I haven’t played the first one yet, but to me it seems like the safest best).

Can’t see myself playing village before playing 7, can hardly see myself playing 7 without VR as I hear it is scarier…

@themightyant Just watched it, given how the jump between generation is decreasing, I’d say you might play a game like that in 2 generations (10 years). Not so much because of the graphics but more because of the quality in the overall animation which are often the most reality breaking thing in games nowadays for me (that and clipping, I’m playing forbidden west at the moment and it bugs me how clothes and hair just go trough character model).

Been curious about Dream but mostly as a player. Are these experience/games have so meat to play with or are they more like proof of concept, one level games?

Out of curiosity, still haven’t played the game, but with mods supported, anything should be installed to get an even better experience or the mods don’t give much of an upgrade now that the game have been reworked?

So… Just notice I haven’t played any of them… I own god of war and Horizon just haven’t started them (Christmas vacation plan)…

@KundaliniRising333 Truth is I think it’ll reach a lot of viewer unfamiliar with the game and they’ll just enjoy the story for the first time. Not every video games spin-off has to be for gamers.

@UltimateOtaku91 Yes it is… while I love my PS5 it often feels like a PS4 Pro Ultra…

Let’s hope it’s not true down the line and the fact that have to take PS4 into account with the engine prevent them from optimizing wizardry…
