A good easy to jump in and play multiplayer. It did have some issues like time to kill was too long, the recoil on the ‘AK’ was way too harsh. I didn’t get to try many other weapons but the recoil on the ‘small’ class’ gun was a lot better but again it took a mag and a half to kill someone.
The maps were fun, with good destruction. I wonder if they’ll add more game modes, such as capture the flag or domination where you can make use of the destruction more tactfully. The beta game modes felt very fast paced
Unfortunately no, I can’t see when this will be much use. If it’s streaming via WiFi high chance I’m at home so I’ll just go an play my PS5…
Disappointed but not surprised with Sony releasing this instead of a fully fledged PSP/Vita successor. After the success of Switch and plenty of indies to boast a full library a handheld console would make a lot more sense.
BS! Don’t use the user experience as an excuse. How stupid do they think we are. Of course it’s to maximise the company’s profit and stop resale value. I wanted Alan Wake 2 since the OG came out on 360 and would’ve bought day 1 but I’m not supporting digital only from a AAA studio. You don’t own digital and network issues can cause games to be unavailable, not even always online games. CE of Ragnarok was a digital game and a handful of times I couldn’t load the game due to the console unable to verify the license.
Ethan’s story was good in RE7 which felt like a more solid well put together game. But RE8 felt disjointed and a bit shoe horned in. I think if they left Ethan’s story (and the first person) with RE7 and have us play as Chris while exploring Village it would’ve been a better story and more logical.
@ShogunRok it’s too cringy and feels so fake. As someone from the UK the shows feels very ‘Americanised’ (or is it spelt with a Z) so it’s hard to watch those segments but maybe even for Americans it is cringy as well
Most of these streams I don’t bother with anymore, even Geoff’s shows are too full of ads and it’s 30 seconds of one out of the blue game then straight into another for the next game and you barely have time to process it.
Sony’s latest haven’t been too bad to be honest though I find they tend to acknowledge expectations on Twitter beforehand so I’ll keep watching them but for the others I don’t have the time or energy to even have it on in the background. I come to sites like this to get a summary of the show and bigger announcements.
@Sqush-Pare yep seems something not worth mentioning. Possibly just a misjudgement with the comment although there was an entire article earlier about it.
It’s these type of comparisons that don’t offer anything other than to add fuel and controversy that ruined Twitter and YouTube gaming channels. I don’t think this page is going that way as the staff all seem decent open minded people but those type of comments and articles become a slippery slope
Don’t see much relevance for this article to be honest. The games didn’t release on the same day and one is multi platform and multi generation. It feels a bit like this article is just trying to generate views and get people riled up as TLOU is weirdly controversial at the moment. This is the sort of stuff that ruined Twitter by creating posts purposely to get people annoyed and comment rather than discuss.
It’s a shame but if they’re sticking to canon, and it sounds like they are, it was to be expected. Maybe a DLC or possibly for a sequel could feature quidditch
@nessisonett well I sympathise with you but unfortunately you don’t need to game but you need to eat and drink so maybe don’t spend any money on games until you are financially able to
@PegasusActual93 exactly. Gaming is a hobby and we all decide if we can afford a game or not. Most games are on sale throughout year and we all know the pricing of the games. If anyone should be upset about this it’s the developers, even if Sony took 20% or 10% whos to say the price would drop. It just means more goes to the developer, which I’d support but that’s not the issue being raised.
This sounds like someone trying to gain attention for whatever reason.
@nessisonett I’d wouldn’t say no to free money but if Sony have to pay (very unlikely) they will re-coop that money from somewhere. That somewhere will be us.
I’m all for saving money and sticking it to corporations but this sounds like a desperate man clasping at straws. Yes there is a cost of living crisis but PlayStation (all games in general) is not a necessity it is a hobby and one consumers need to responsibly budget for. I hope the news doesn’t spin this to make it sound like this guy is speaking on behalf of gamers.
@KidBoruto yeah I found the combat a bit unbalanced and clunky. It wasn’t bad but even on normal difficulty it wasnt great so I didn’t want to spoil the game by playing on Master. Hopefully with NG+ and carrying over progress and weapons it will be a better experience
I haven’t played the game but surely the appeal of the game was the coop play and working together? How would this personal connection be played over a film, especially with the Rock staring. He’s not a bad actor but he plays the same character in every film and never seems to create a connection with the viewers he’s just in the film.
This game is such a great unwind game! Put on music or a podcast and do whatever you want. I play when I’m between games or when I’m not in the mood to focus on a game after work or in the evenings
As others have said I'm more disappointed that The Witcher 3 upgrade might be delayed whilst they, understandably, fix CP 2077 I keep wanting to go back but would love to wait for a faster and more crisp version.
This might be a chance for EA to prove itself and change the public perseption. I know they were open about Squadrons being a short game hence the £30 cost and no microtransactions. I have the game but havent played it though I hear it is good. Hopefully EA can fund more Dirt and GRID games to keep the same feel but with bigger budgets and more scope.
I completed Men of Medan last night. It was ok, the story was good but I felt the characters and settings felt disjointed. There will be times when something happens, a face or person appears which scares the character yet they don't mention it at all, it felt like a lot of the horror and jump scares were for the player only and weren't tied to the characters etc.
I love the idea of smaller horror games, Until Dawn was amazing, a bit long but good, these smaller stories feel better as with most horror once you become familiar with the monster it stops becoming scary. I will buy Little Hope and I'm hoping the developers have ironed some of the issues out.
Not a bad showcase, glad they finally released the prices and release date. I am hoping to get dates of the games they shown off so we know which are launch games also prices for the peripherals (and a pre-order date).
Bloody hell there are some cry babies on this site. I thought that was only the Twitter babies.
So what if it’s on Now and PS+ it’s one month where you don’t play the FREE games. It’s not like there isn’t 100s of games to play already. Instead of crying about it why don’t you just cancel your sub and shut the f**k up like an adult. Bloody entitled children.
This looks promising. Although slightly different I reminds me a bit of F.E.A.R which is a good think. Genuinely scary horror/FPS games are lacking lately.
I kind of wished the headset could pair to the PS5 without the dongle. It just uses a USB slot. With the PS4 with external hard drive and the dongle in you only have one slot left which is ok for charging your controller but if you put the PSVR on that uses the last slot.
This sounds great! There are definitely times when games need a bit of a change of pace. I loved Firewatch with the (mostly) lack of technology and exploring the wilderness. I can’t wait for this.
@oldschool1987 I haven’t got this game yet but TLOU2 was fine on my Pro, the fan was quiet and once or twice it started but wasn’t loud. When I play Days Gone it goes insane though. It’s odd how some PS4s are ok with games others struggle with
@Bliquid no worries and yes as Carlos said this is the best. I’d say each is good in its own right with a good link between them but this one feels the best
This game has so much attention to detail. I love snow levels in games so I spent so much time messing round and the crunching sound when the characters walk is perfect!
I also love the story details like the guy you get the bow from has mannequins for target practise in his garden, if you got into the clothes shop earlier in the level there is a note/drawing named ‘daughter’s drawing’ of her Dad saying something about ‘the best archer in Seattle’. It’s assumed he owns the clothes shop hence the note being there and him having the mannequins at home, there is also a work bench in the shop I guess he worked on his bow there. I think the tadpoles clip above is his house as well and there is a bench in there to.
Looks a bit too tacky with the 3D axe on the side. It reminds me of spaghetti shapes. A more simplistic approach would look better but good colour scheme
@Old-Red Thats not a bad option to be fair. If they have a PS+ window taking you to a selected list of PS only AAA games and you get to pick one. As you said pre-2020 as it isn’t fair on the developers to lose paid sales.
I wouldn’t call people posting spoilers and moaning about Naughty Dog disabling comments fans. If a fan seen a spoiler I’m sure they would understand the devastation of someone else seeing it and would do what they could to not mention it. The only people spoiling it are trolls and people with low self esteem

We really need a handheld console for smaller games like this. Perfect for commuting and slower times at work.
Looks fun though
