I was interested in this until I saw that it was a Gatcha game.

I just lost interest and will be staying far away.

People are sick of Live Service games. The sooner the useless executive class learns this, the better.

@LionVega I have the exact same issue. I think this was an option but it was removed along with a bunch of other things during the patching process.

I played the heck out of both of these on PC back in the day. I was terrible at it but still contributed.

I've gotten used to an controller since then, so I'll probably do much better now.

I completely agree. It doesn't need a remake. Maybe a remaster, but I don't think it even needs that.

It doesn't have Ron Perlman as the voice of Hellboy. As soon as I heard the voice actor, I lost interest.

@LifeGirl It took them a while, but now they've set the stage to sell you the solution to the "problem" that they created.

Here come the "fixes". The microtransactions that will increase the speed of your leveling. The ones that buff your skills. The ones that increase your stats. I bet they'll be timed.

I expect them either before the Season starts or to launch with it. I am so glad I didn't touch this game.

I seriously doubt that is all they are doing. That's just what is going to be there at launch. I expect worse things within a month after the reviews have dropped. I also suspect that no matter how bad we think this is going to be, it's going to be worse.

I stopped trusting Blizzard years ago. Most of the original talent and the ones who cared have already left.

I'm sure they'll be happy to add it as a microtransaction.

@KundaliniRising333 I also expect it to have every form of loot box, cosmetics, weapon upgrades, gem upgrades, pay to win mechanics, a premium tier on everything, and every other kind of micro-transaction they can think of. They might even throw in a real money auction house. I expect it all to be released within the first month after all the reviews are in.

This isn't the Blizzard of Yore. All those people left a long time ago.

I'm cautiously watching this one. This is by the new Square Enix, so I'm watching out for Micro-Transactions and NFTs.

This is why I never watch the livestream. I always wait for it to be uploaded. Then I skip all the waiting and all of the fluff. I just watch the trailers and sometimes the developer interviews. It saves a lot of time.

I just checked. Valkyrie Elysium is the sequel to Valkyrie Profile. That's promising.

This isn't the same Bioware that put out Mass Effect and all the classics. This is the stripped down EA Bioware. All the classic Bioware developers left a long time ago.

I don't understand why they keep acting like jerks; it makes me not want to support them.

Are they doing this for attention? Is it a sad attempt to get Sony to hire them? This doesn't feel like a company that wants to sell their product.

None of this explains the attitude. They act like some of the trolls or the children you find in comments - there just to piss people off.

The reviews seem mixed right now. I'm going to wait for a sale. I might buy it then. I rarely buy games full price.

Most of collection is digital. I can't play the physical games I have because the Blu-Ray drive died sometime in the last year. I have a PS4 Pro, and repair shops won't replace that because the official replacement drives for the Pro generally have manufacturing issues.

As it is right now, the price needs to be dropped. Otherwise add PS Now.

It's not a manufacturing issue, not really. It's the fact that scalpers still have 10,000+ of the PS5s. Just check eBay.

Scalper Bots still snatch them up whenever they're available. Most people still won't be able to get one as long as the bots are active.

Sony counts those as sold units even though they aren't being used.

@RBMango agreed. I don't trust EA not to sneak something into the game in a few months.

There's also the issue that scalpers have thousands to tens of thousands of PS5s. So that also makes it even harder to get one unless you're willing to reward them and pay a premium.

No, you misunderstand. They're "balancing" the game so they can sell micro-transactions to speed up your experience gain. I'm sure they'll be timed.

Well, both Sony and Microsoft rushed their consoles out the door about 6-8 months early. They would have launched them in March - June normally.

I hope they add PSVR support this time. They said they couldn't do it on the previous version because the PS4 wasn't powerful enough.

I think most people are expecting $500.00 so it's not that big of a deal.

If they go above $500 though, Microsoft will have a field day and undercut them.

It will just work. They are probably already in the process of optimizing the code for PS5.

If I can access all the games I bought digitally on my PS4, then I'll pick one up within the first year. If they allow me to do that, access all of my PS3 digital games, and allow me to play my PS3 discs as well, then this is a day-one purchase.

I enjoyed what I played last weekend and planned on playing again over the next two days, but I'm not touching it until they fix the issue.

I just signed up. However, I'm not sure how many people will be playing with me. I'm a day sleeper on the east coast, so I'll only be playing overnight.
