Playing on the 5 so far, I completely agree with this review. There is some genuinely fun gameplay and systems coupled with cool sub-quests (been focusing on those over story) so far, but I've been getting the notorious glitch that quits the game on me after an hour or so at play. With that being said, it may not have been as bad, but Witcher was in poor shape when it launched in 2015 and CDPR cleaned it up. Given they had to release nine different builds of this game, I feel like it will be a GOTY 2021 contender once they've patched it up.

Cyberpunk went gold before they delayed it for another month, meaning that discs were already in production at that time. I bet this first patch is a bunch of the fixes they made.
@Jayofmaya Honestly after RE2, you probably never have to do another zombie game again. RE2 Remake is probably the pinnacle of zombie games on any modern system IMHO.
@HUMPERDOO Totally agree w/ the character development and dialogue. Also, I found Sam Whitwer's VO specifically annoying whenever he would go to sleep in-game.
@LiamCroft I totally respect your review and actually agree with a large chunk of it. With that being said, I do feel like the world building is really good in the game.
@ShogunRok I will only accept this adaptation if it natively has a poor dub with Michael Rosenbaum, Eliza Dushku, Michael Madsen, Mark Hamill, and Rachel Leigh Cook.
Under "Ugly", you failed to mention that transphobic J.K. Rowling will probably make a boatload of money out of that stellar looking Hogwarts Legacy game....
I'm not typically a fan of these types of open world games (read Assassin's Creed); but Ghost of Tsushima really resonates with me. It's my GOTY so far, at least on PS4 and would easily give it an 8 or a 9; where as I would have given TLOU 2 a solid 7. TLOU 2 is a beautiful game no doubt and I take no umbrage with it's story, it's just far too dour during this period in time at no fault of it's own; just bad timing.
As an early adopter, this pisses me off; with that being said, the game deserved a better commercial performance than it had and would happily repurchase it on PS5 as long as the updated version takes care of choppiness when transitioning in and out of the pause screen....
Length of game doesn't necessarily denote its value. Resi 2 was only slightly longer than Resi 3 and priced the same. The big issue here is that while the latter was a fantastic game, it lacks the staying power, replay-ability, and resonance that the former had upon launch. Personally I played through Resi 2 at lest six times, where as Resi 3 was a one and done for me. A good one and done, but a one and done none-the-less.
