what the hell are you talking about? Sony's games sell better. And mind you, this is only on one platform instead of 5.

PlayStation fanboys (of which I am one) are just realizing the reality.

The days of big blockbuster Triple AAA Hollywood games are over. And it doesn't help to publish day and date on PC because then Sony would ruin their entire business. The only one who would win here would be Valve.

Sony, like Nintendo, now has to find its own way.

A start would be to bring back more classic IPs. of which Sony has a whole graveyard.

Games like Rise of the Ronin or Stellar Blade (which are more interesting than any TLOU or Spider-Man) are a good start.

It won't be easy to turn the usual PS gamer away from the big blockbuster titles, but it's not impossible either. Nintendo proves that all you need is a loyal fan base for games to sell well.

No matter what self-proclaimed doomsday experts say, 2024 will be another very good year for the PS5. Although I think 2025 will be even better. Many people don't realize how successful GTA 6 will be and will move more consoles than any Spider-Man or God of War.

If the Xbox were really the better overall package then the masses would buy the Xbox but they don't. The Xbox, like everything from MS except Windows, is a stillbirth that is only artificially kept alive with several billion dollars.

These numbers reflect only one thing: the world is not just the United States of America. Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and yes also the UK are completely different and have their own preferences. Even the USA increasingly prefers the PlayStation.

The Xbox offers absolutely nothing for the normal European or Japanese consumer. Because for MS everything only counts from the east to the west coast.

@IOI as if that makes a difference. If Sony buys SE, all SE titles are automatically first party. Because some people here forget that Blade comes from Bethesda, which MS bought in, and OD, like Death Stranding, is from an independent developer.

The fact is, MS is under pressure. Their Xbox is dying, and the Game Pass numbers just aren't increasing. they have to announce games after games.

Sony, on the other hand, has the luxury of that the PS5 sells like hot cakes no matter what they announce or not. Furthermore, GTA 6 is probably the most important title for Sony at the moment anyway. this game will move more consoles than any first party title.

Where are the people now who thought an Atreus or Thrud stand alone game was coming? Sony Santa Monica is not Naughty Dog. SSM knows what their fans want and the fans want Kratos!
