The game has to work off the disc, even if it's an unpatched version. Otherwise it's just a key on a disc and it must be disclosed as such.

I haven't played it yet. Once i learned it was a 3 parter i was in no rush to play it. I got 2 parts now. Once the 3rd is about to hit i might get to it.
I didn't want to play it just to get hit with a cliffhanger.

This is a bug fix patch which indicates that the game is done. I doubt more is coming.

@doctommaso I'm tired of "in a vacuum" inflation comparisons. They are disonest. It's not just the inflation, it's raises and it's the cost of living, the scarcity, the tariffs as we well see, the taxes, etc. Inflation doesn't exist in a vacuum.
Also, the ps3 was a blu ray player. The ps5 pro doesn't even have a disc drive. They are very different propositions.

The real gem is Lunar 2.
Lunar 1 always felt overhyped to me. It's very generic and shorter.

I think that with how popular CRPG's are atm, this could do well enough, even if it's a different take on it.
But, if i'm honest, a new guardians of the galaxy would be insane hype too. Such an overlooked game that is so effin good.

Being second console doesn't mean it isn't direct competition. The market is your time playing. They are competing for game sales and engagement aka play hours.
They are also competition for subscription service and online play.

@TruestoryYep Yes, I have a PC and I can always retreat into steam. But, I only like to play certain genres on PC. There's room to go further there, if I want to.

Weapon durability never was nor ever will be a good system. It just adds busy work and inventory management that isn't fun and saving the best weapons for a rainy day and end up never using them.
It's an awful system, and every dev putting it in their games deserves a slap across the face.

BTW I will push back on the notion a bit. Nintendo games did go on sale on the eshop on occasion. It's rare, but it happens.

The stance has not changed and I have seen 80 euro games around already.

No chance MH wilds runs on it with it's current performance. MH World might.
I am expecting a portable ps4/ps4pro. Somewhere in that ballpark would already be pretty good.

Being on steam means they can't charge for online play anymore or have control of the network and the fees gained from sales on it. Their whole Xbox live thing will be gone. It will just be a game renting service.

If that's what they want to do, I don't think they will be competition. Also, games are not optimised for that kind of platform. I guess Microsoft can optimise theirs, but how will you feel playing say MH wilds which looks and performs terrible on a mid range pc, compared to the console versions which are more optimised, even if still with issues?

If microsoft wants to sell a packed in PC, let them? It's not different from a regular PC. Actually, it's worse.
