Re: Game of the Year 2018: Best Story

NecuVise

For me it's Red Dead Redemption 2. Arthur's story really hit me and in the end he became one of my favorite game characters of all time. I played gow and it's great, but not on Red Dead Redemption 2 level.

Re: Spider-Man PS4 Dev Pushes Back Against Fan Criticisms Regarding DLC

NecuVise

@belmont yeah, well, it is, but this is a Sony exclusive game so we have to defend it no matter what, right? At least that's how majority here acts.

There's a difference between hear and listen. That answer was rude definitely, it just sounds like someone irritated wrote it. That's not how you communicate with your fans.

I personally don't care for this particular or any other suit, but if you can't do something at least explain why to your fans, don't bash them.

It seems like fans are only good when they buy your product and applaud you, but if they criticise you then they're like unwanted fans. Childish approach.

Re: The Outer Worlds Is a 'Mix of Fallout and Mass Effect', and It Looks Like a Very In-Depth RPG

NecuVise

@AdamNovice gaming is at 9.8 of TOTAL MICROSOFT revenue. I hope you realize how much is that? So they're already doing excellent, believe it or not. And no, they wouldn't be good going software only, why would they? They don't have so many games(software) and other platform holders would never allow them to put gamepass, mixer etc on their respective platforms. They would also lose 30% cut which is their biggest revenue generator. This assumption just don't hold any value, really. All the arguments are against it, so I don't see why people keep spreading it.

@darkswabber this game is part of private division which is like a 3rd party partnership studio of take two interactive, and obviously it was in development for quite some time. I wouldn't hope for any of the recent studios to be like Mojang, as any of these purchases wouldn't make any sense. They invested i studios to bolster their luck luster 1st party offering, not to be sponsor for struggling studios

Re: Social Media Scuttlebutt Says Microsoft Is Sniffing After Sony Studio

NecuVise

@Rob_230 building studio from ground up is much more difficult then buying an existing studio. After all, some of the best studios and exclusives for playstation were/are made by studios which Sony had bought, not built from ground up. Let's check some facts before pointing fingers.

@RidingMower yeah, just like Sony expanded the industry with guerilla games, naughty dog, sucker punch, media molecule or with attempted buyout of insomniac games. Wonderful expansion, indeed.

@jdv95 Mojang, playgrounds games, ninja theory, inxile, Obsidian certainly aren't studios with average records.

Re: Rumour: 'Beastly' PS5 Dev Kits in the Wild, But Not Due Until 2020

NecuVise

@Octane switch was a very different proposition - it's a successor to a very unpopular console (Wii U) and it launched with a highly praised Zelda game.l with Mario in the horizon. People will buy Nintendo for Zelda and Mario and we know it. I don't think these two are comparable. Besides, I'm not saying you need the whole year as reveal in March with launch in November is 8 months difference.

Re: Sony Confirms Zero E3 2019 Presence, Will Share New Plans Soon

NecuVise

Zero change, right push square? Heh that was a great oversight on your part dismissing such rumors so easily.

Anyway, this is really strange. I guess we'll get one more exclusive before E3 so they can't give E3 with only two exclusives we've already seen many times but it's still strange.

Re: Obsidian, InXile Will No Longer Make PlayStation Games

NecuVise

@JohnnyShoulder I don't have a direct link for Obsidian per se, but Microsoft in general talked about that, there are links available, also inxile talked about that in their video shown last night, ninja theory also has video stating why they chose Microsoft and creative freedom was, besides financial backing, the main reason. Find their video and see for yourself.

Re: Obsidian, InXile Will No Longer Make PlayStation Games

NecuVise

Obsidian was in a very bad financial position for years and even their most recent game, Pillars of Eternity 2 bombed, having sold only 100 000 and some copies, and they had to sell at least 500-600k to break even! So obviously they like financial security as everyone else as they also have families and lives besides gaming. Some people obviously forget that.

Besides, they all have creative freedom given by Microsoft and it's written in their contracts so it's amusing how some salty fanboys comment without knowledge.

Good luck to all of them and wish them to produce good games so we can all enjoy some more good games regardless of platform.

Re: Activision Pondering Faster Content, New Monetisation for Destiny 2 After Forsaken Sales Fail to Meet Expectations

NecuVise

Just how much money is enough for Activision? Destiny made the largest amount in September and its still not enough. I'd say this game is in a pretty good shape and they are doing good atm, but the publisher is way too greedy. I imagine people at Bungie regret leaving Microsoft, especially now that Microsoft has dramatically changed. Just one more game Bungie, survive just one more game and you're done with Activision.

Re: PlayStation Store Sales Charts: RDR2 Can't Beat Black Ops 4

NecuVise

@JJ2 it's not surprise and I wasn't talking about that.

Anyway, I've played both and both are great and I'm looking forward to playing odyssey (bought it at launch but my order got lost unfortunately) so this October has been really good. Not to mention Hollow Knight and its brilliance!
