Re: Guide: Best PS4 Pro Games

Napakane

Wipeout Omega and.......wipeout Omega.
Also I actually find Skyrim on PS4 pro in 4K pretty impressive......seeing bugs flying on the other side of a river was a real wow moment for me.

Re: Talking Point: How Much Does Cross-Play Matter to You?

Napakane

The mainstream media seems intent on only ever covering bad aspects of gaming (well, likely all things).
Its a shame that companies involved in gaming are rarely praised for good things they do - its no wonder most non-gamers don't get it. Sorry, slightly off topic!
Its great Pushsquare allows gamers to respectfully talk about these types on issues on both sides of the coin

Re: Feature: 5 Ways the PlayStation Store Must Improve in 2018

Napakane

Better genre search options. Bring back Digital Only searches. Wishlist definately. Dont kick me back to the top of the list when I add games to my cart.
Just better searches overall.
Warn me about purchases: dont buy witcher 3 DLC if its cheaper that month to buy the complete edition [as an example]
Oh and maybe let me change the colour of the background or themes.
Overall though im generally ok with it, it just needs to be a bit refreshed to reflect other online market places

Re: Rumour: Red Dead Redemption Is Being Remastered for PS4

Napakane

I hope its true - one of few classics from last gen I havent got around to. In fact I havent touched it the last 3 years [even though I wanted to] in anticipation of a remaster so fingers crossed this is true.
So sick of trying to avoid spoilers on its great story!!

Re: Review: Adr1ft (PS4)

Napakane

If they can get some decent sales out of Adr1ft on PS4 they would likely look into it. We are last to receive it and it wasn't getting great sales/scores on other formats so they have probably put it on the backburner.
A game of this type though is absolutely crying out for a PSVR release. Any short comings in the controls would be overlooked for the feeling of being in the space.

  • On another note, this game on a huge TV was quite a treat when I downloaded it last night.

Re: Talking Point: Is Sony Scared of Xbox's Scorpio?

Napakane

Sony would not change its near future plans based on a competitors announcement. Large companies are rarely able to operate like that.
Having said that, they cant get complacent either - And are hopefully preparing a plan based on what NX and Scorpio may/may not be.
I think its more fear from MS for announcing a console so soon before release. Its an interesting move. Next year is going to be fun

Re: For the Love of Gaming Just Announce the BioShock PS4 Collection Already

Napakane

Bio 1 - AMAZING. Id be interested how it stacks up today, but it was incredible when it was released.
2 was great, although I found it so similar to the first that I don't remember much of it. I remember thinking of it like a huge expansion.
3 - Loved it, amazing setting, albeit not AS amazing as rapture.

Im happily going to play all three again.

Re: And Here's Battleborn's PS4 Launch Trailer

Napakane

Sammy, your gif made me laugh and pretty much summed up how I felt when I saw the trailer!
I love this site. Reminds me of what SegaBlueSky mentioned - Some of the magazines I grew up with were brutal, but hilarious. This is lighthearted in comparison.

Re: PS4K Would Be a Gigantic Pain in the Ass, Reckons BioWare Founder

Napakane

I really dont want to be stuck in 7 year console cycles anymore. Ill happily day 1 pay for an upgraded console which runs the same games at better res/framerates. There is no reason they'd need to 'split' their library at all - there would just be an option for the many gamers who would like to pay to upgrade every 3 years or so. Those that dont want to, dont have to.

Re: Review: Beyond: Two Souls (PS4)

Napakane

I absolutely loved Heavy Rain, but just could'nt get into the story of B:TS.
Probably because I just didnt feel I was impacting much with choices.

Heavy Rain had many decisions that really weighed on the story. It was interesting to often wonder about a decision Id made, long after Id made the call. That was one reason I loved it. And B:TS didnt have that.
Just my opinion of course.

Re: Oi Square, Where's Our Final Fantasy XV PS4 Controller?

Napakane

@Tasuki well they jumped from Nintendo to Sony because Nintendo was really showing signs of trouble and Sony was the opposite.
I cant see MS throwing alot of money their way for this - Lets face it, controller 'skins' dont sell consoles.
The best thing SE could probably do right now is just put all its energy back to Sony. That's where their fans are. Dont even bother to release Japanese franchises on XB and just win back loyalty from PS owners. Remind the Japanese why they bought consoles in the first place.

Re: E3 2015: Final Fantasy VII's PS4 Remake May Not Be Exactly How You Remember It

Napakane

Keen to see the 'bad' translations left as they were originally. Good memories.
As pointed out SE arent great story tellers anymore, maybe leave the plot alone.
Biggest question is going to be turn based or active battle. Used to love turn based back in the day, but after playing FFX again, I was reminded how annoying random turn based battles can be.

Re: Talking Point: How Important Is Game Length?

Napakane

@Munkyknuts
Thats still over 3 hrs a day on DA:I EVERY day for weeks - a lot would still consider that heaps of game time.
Personally I dont mind how long the game is, I just want to play good games. Id rather replay good games than play new average games.
