I'm sure there are ways to make the physical games unplayable until release without having to download stuff or connect online. But it doesn't bother me. I'm digital only.
I've been digital since it was first available on PS3. But sucks for physical media fans. And fans of cassettes....and floppy discs and any other old stuff from the past.
I'd also rather have a more reactive world and interesting systems than visual fidelity, including raytracing. I remember the first thing I did whenever I played an open world game on PC was to turn the shadows and vegetation off, just to easier see chests and other stuff to pick up xD
If people can make Breath of the Wild run on basically a toaster then I see no problem with Crimson Desert on PS5. They also developed an engine just for this game. You can cut a lot of unneeded stuff that would be a burden for the hardware. FF7R looked great too and that was with Unreal Engine. But in the end it all depends on the expertise of the devs. To sum it up: Anything can happen -.-'
@spikes91 Alright, thanks for the explanation. That might all be true, still has nothing to do with me not caring how many studios they close as long as we get State of Plays like the last one (which I don't believe we will get by the way). It was just a comment, nothing to get worked up about.
@spikes91: I don't get how you get to that conclusion based on my comment. But I can answer your question with a question: Is Bluepoint the only company capable of making excellent remakes?
Man I've been putting off watching this Anime for so long and now that Yoko-san is involved there is just no way around it anymore....still got some time until this comes out though^^
It's so funny how people still believe or try to make sense of anything that comes out of this company xD
Well, if there is any time to do that it might be now with the leadership change. We'll see
@get2sammyb: Don't get me wrong. I was as surprised as anyone to see this headline today. It's just that we as outsiders never know the full story. There could be a million valid reasons for closing the studio. From what I always heard (since Hermen took over) Sony generally let's their Studios decide for themselves what they want to make with the caveat that there are serious consequences when things don't end up working out. If this is still true then it could have been Bluepoint themselves who wanted to make a multiplayer God of War game. But this also is just one possible reason.
I agree that management seems in need to change. There needs to be a leader with a clear vision for the company as a whole. If they could get someone like Kojima to lead Sony I doubt things would ever get this far.
I'm sure they are changing though, at least since Concord.
Having played it for around the 10 hours by now I can see what the fuss was about. So far it doesn't bother me enough to cancel my playthrough though.
The loot in chests is very generic, but there are enough unique items to make it work. If the game will warrant a second playthrough for me I very much doubt.
Things are probably not always the way they seem from the outside looking in...It's funny seeing people being so judgmental about it as if they were working there xD
@Rich33: Yes, that's true of course and I do understand both sides of the argument. I'd still buy it. My reasoning is a little selfish because I skipped the Pro and now don't have the newest thing under my TV. On the other hand the PS5 might be the last "pure" PS console without all the AI stuff under the hood...we can see on the amount of comments that people have strong opinions about all of this xD

I bought the whole Chrome-line. They should last me until PS6 so I'm good^^
Re: 'Imagine Being Such a Loser': We've Hit Rock Bottom with Website Dedicated to 'Failing' Games
Things like this will only lead to less openly available data in the end so I'm a little disappointed....not surprised, but disappointed.
Re: PS6's Rumoured Portable Could Be in Your Hands as Early as Next Year
Since I only play on TV this isn't for me, but more options is always good in my book.
Re: Sony Decides VTubers May Be the Best Way to Save PS5 in Japan
I like the energy in these trailers, but like some people already suggest there is a better way: actually make some games for them.
Re: Crimson Desert PS5 Concern as Physical Copies Won't Run without Download
I've been digital since it was first available on PS3. But sucks for physical media fans. And fans of cassettes....and floppy discs and any other old stuff from the past.

@MasterChiefWiggum: Exactly.
Re: Sony Rated the Best Big Game Company to Work for in Japan, Beating Nintendo, Capcom, More
Well, it's nice not having to work for at least a year (like Bluepoint) and then you can get your holiday too...forever! xD
Re: 'Exclusives Are Absolutely Not Happening': Xbox Helix Will Share Library with PS6
One must be pretty desperate to take a "hear you" as confirmation for anything, especially from a company that is known to lie.
Re: Record Breaking Battlefield 6 Sales Not Enough to Prevent Layoffs
I'm sure they'll get a handle on the delays and such with LESS people xD

Everthing from Falcom I'm at least looking into with an open mind. They also seem to really care with their games^^
Re: PS6 Rival Xbox Helix Could Cost as Much as $1,200
For PlayStation I'd pay that in a heartbeat. For Xbox they'd have to pay me that xD
Re: PS5 Modder Successfully Installs Linux, Boots GTA 5 at 60fps with Ray Tracing
Well I'd hope the PS5 can handle a PS3 game...even with those little bells and whistles it's still a PS3 game under the hood.

Re: 'They're Not Going to Delay PS6': Hardware Leaker Says 2027 Still Likely After Xbox Helix Reveal
I'll just wait for Sony to say something, whenever that is. I don't like all this rumormonging all the time.
Re: After LEGO Horizon, Don't Expect Any More PS5 Games on Switch 2
This doesn't make much sense. If they were so much against it, why let them make this game in the first place? Oh well, not that it matters to me
