It all depends where you're looking at. I think gaming is as creative as it's ever been. But you have to go to the indies for that.
One of the reasons I decided to skip PS5 Pro is that I find myself playing a lot of 2D style indie games^^

@get2sammyb I just don't think early access is the new "release date" or "day 1" and shouldn't be viewed as that. By that logic wouldn't day 1 be the review codes YouTubers and game websites get? And by extension wouldn't the games than be at its cheapest (free) xD
Don't mean to be nitpicky, I guess the term "day 1" just has a different meaning depending on who you're asking. I also don't see it used in official announcements.

Personally I find the article a little misleading. There is no way to confirm people are buying the more expensive edition because of early access or all the other included stuff. Also we can't talk about prices going up just because of a mostly 3 day difference.
On the other hand there are plenty of games that are discounted before they even come out. I see no one complaining about that.
I for one am never so desperate to shell out more cash just to play a mostly inferior game earlier, quite the opposite in fact. If history thaught us anything, it's smarter to wait a month or two for patches and skip all the potential headaches of buggyness^^
But to each his own I guess. The market will always be on the edge of what is acceptable for customers. But there will almost always be ways to circumvent it or lessen the blow to the wallet.

@themightyant Not that it really matters to me, but it's hard even for people working at Sony to predict right now. Sony can and will adjust their plans depending on the market as they always do, but if nothing major happens, I still think the PS6 will release in 4+ years (meaning 2028 or later to be clear).

@Kalime78 Wow, you sound quite confident. However I'll stick with my 4 year speculation. I see no reason for Sony to react to a new console from Microsoft anymore and Sony never released a new system after 6 years.
I wouldn't mind it though, just saying 2 years sounds unrealistic to me^^
No matter when the next PS comes I'll be there anyway

Wow, is it allowed to be this happy? Only bangers to play and my wishlist is also bursting with exciting games as well as couple thing on my backlog and some I wanna play "new game+" style. Now THIS on top of all that!
I think I'll spend my whole vacation for games this time xD

I cancelled my pre order of the pro because I only have 2-3 games on the horizon that would actually benefit from it. I'm sure I'll play these games again in a couple years anyway and when I do, the PS6 should be out.
But maybe I'll change my mind, PS6 is still 4+ years away.

I wonder if I'll beat Metaphor before the timer on the demo runs out. I like to take my games one at a time. So far 40 hours in xD

not watching the trailer as I know I'll buy this day one. Just want to express my disapointment for the censoring. I don't think this game will benefit from an E rating, if that's why they did it.

YES, that's the only thing I wanted to know about this game. I thought as much after playing the demo, but good to know for sure.
The calender system in Persona is the only reason I never wanna replay it.

Nice review. Now I'm sure I'll be buying this at some point in the future. I wonder if I can wait until PS6 or a patch with full 2 Player Versus support across all the maps. That would be ideal..

The game's not even out yet. I wouldnt complain until after the now sadly traditional "day 1 patch".

That sounds easy to fix. Just make the world smaller and cut out the most repetitive stuff.

I'd say it IS a big deal. Creativity is being hampered by fear of back-lash and social expectations. That is a bad direction we're going in (and have been for quite a while of course).

This goes for a lot of other games too of course, but I don't typically like action heavy games, so I don't wanna play this more than once. Waiting until they are done with everything.

This just means there will be new terms of service to agree to before consumers can continue using the store. Nothing to write news about in my opinion.

Time to truly research japan and remove/correct all the wrong assests (the flags, the temples, landmarks, trees, the harvest season, fields, all the bad AI generated stuff, etc.), hahaha xD and maybe remove a protagonist while you're at it or something^^

Well they stated from the beginning, that they got their legal asses covered. I'll be interested to see how ironclad their defenses are against a veteran like Nintendo. I'll probably check the game out if it still exists some time next year^^

The only part of Firewalk that needs to be fired in my opinion is the art departement.

For how much I game it's worth for me to get another one.

Standard PS5 will probably get a price cut at some point to because of this, so everyone wins. And the PS5 standard is still in pretty good shape, not like PS4 vs PS4 pro
