Re: PS5 Users Unimpressed with DualSense Edge Controller's Premium Price Tag

Mariosmaster1

It is cheaper than some of the scuff controllers and tbh the same people unimpressed with the price wouldn't buy a scuff either. I'll buy it to compare to both my black and white elite series 2 controllers and use it on my pc and ps5, I like how you can remove the analogue stick modules and easily replace them for £20. I doubt it's going to be superior to the elite series in regards to button customisation but time will tell. All it needs to do is be better than a scuff controller and it's a winner. It's £40-£50 more expensive than an elite series with all the accessories so it's not a crazy price really. The elite series core is £115 with out the paddles etc with them it's £160. Most of the people complaining about it arw only doing so because they can't afford it as those who can will likely already have a scuff so wouldn't be surprised by the £200 price tag especially those of us that have just dropped £2100 down on a RTX 4090

Re: All PS5 Games Running at 120 Frames-Per-Second

Mariosmaster1

@PALversusNTSC I have a 55"' c1 and a 42" c2 I have no issues getting 120fps on my pc in actual 4k not that 3840x2060p nonsense actual 4096x2160p that I can validate with the green button on the remote and through windows and in game settings using a msi suprim 3080ti and a ryzen 5950x. My ps5 is lucky if it can even get 60fps@4k unless it's a remastered ps4 game. The c1 is a lot better than the c9 for gaming ironically with better vrr more BFI options and lower input lag as is the c2 not that the c9 is bad but don't fool yourself into thinking you got a better tv lol

Re: VRR Support Officially Coming to PS5 'In the Coming Months'

Mariosmaster1

@Flaming_Kaiser monitors are not "crappy" they are better than most tvs in fact only the LG CX and C1/G1 can compete with them that's why a lot of console players use them you clearly have no idea what youre talking about lol.
A lot of people who have a pc also have a console my PC has a msi suprim 3080ti a Ryzen 5950x a aorus master x570 motherboard 2 2tb firecuda 530 ssds and a 1tb samsung 980 Pro I would say that's high end.
You're definitely broke You're still using a 1080p panel TV even when 4K 60hz are cheap enough to throw away you can get a decent 4k 60hz for £300-£400, I literally gave a sony bravia away in December to the mustard tree charity they help homeless get back on their feet.
Also you assume that most people don't have 120hz panels or oleds this is because you and the people you know don't have them.
I complain about the ps5 because it could actually be so much better if they actually made games solely for it instead of cross gen nonsense, I own a ps5 because I wanted to play horizon forbidden west I also have a switch and a steam deck too.
I would argue that you don't know any pc players or gamers with "big rigs" otherwise you wouldn't be wondering why I have a ps5 and if yiu do and they are "too cheap to splash on games" it's probably because they spent all their available money on their pc. Pc parts are really inflated in price at the moment even midrange gpus are costing over a £1000 my msi suprim cost me nearly £2000 from a shop I think my cpu was £750 or something close to that.

Re: VRR Support Officially Coming to PS5 'In the Coming Months'

Mariosmaster1

@Flaming_Kaiser @Flaming_Kaiser lol, 120hz panels are common not everyone plays on tvs people us monitors too then there is the pc community using oled tvs instead of monitors. I use both a lg c1 55 and a lg gn850 34" for my ps5 and pc and soon ill be using a lg c2 42". you need to stop thinking everyone has what you have. Just because you can't afford this stuff doesn't mean the rest of us can't. Most of us with high end pcs will have a panel capable of more than 120hz and will be playing in 1440p-4k a large chunk of people over the age of 22 with a ps5 will also have a 120hz panel be it monitor or TV those that don't will likely be young or don't care enough about them.

Re: VRR Support Officially Coming to PS5 'In the Coming Months'

Mariosmaster1

@Flaming_Kaiser I would imagine a lot of people have them considering the OLED market jumped up 80% last year and LG doubled their sales of OLED TVs so much so they have released a LG c2 42" OLED aimed at bedrooms. I preorded it and can't wait to mount it in my TV bed and compare it to my 55" C1.

Re: VRR Support Officially Coming to PS5 'In the Coming Months'

Mariosmaster1

Can't wait to see the influx of people with fake 2.1 or better put hdmi 2.0 tvs rebranded as "hdmi 2.1" confused that VRR isn't working for them. The 48gbps Hdmi 2.1a is needed for things like VRR, ALLM and 4k120hz. This really means nothing as this gen consoles are a joke anyway 60fps 1440-1800p or 4k30fps this is the generation of trading frames for resolution basically makes owning a 4k 2.1a TV pointless 🤣. Call of duty 120hz @1080p lol! This was supposed to be next gen which is why I use my 3080ti on my LG c1 instead of ultrawide monitor so I can actually make the TV worth the purchase.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West PS5, PS4 Graphics Modes Analysed by Digital Foundry

Mariosmaster1

@Denni5m I was talking about the super and it can run 4k at 60 hz sure you dial stuff back but it can still do it better than the ps5. Maybe I'm comparing it to my pc too much and expecting too much from my ps5. My pc has a 3080ti suprim a Ryzen 9 5950x 64gb 3600 ram on a x570 aorus master mobo with 3 530 firecuda ssds. Obviously that is generations above a Console and even the ps6 probably won't come close to that. It's still annoys me though as I literally bought a c1 55" to compliment my ps5 and all I seem to do is switch to a lower resolution to play in 60 fps. I should if just kept my bravia lol.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West PS5, PS4 Graphics Modes Analysed by Digital Foundry

Mariosmaster1

@Northern_munkey Sorry I was on a rant last night I have a ps5 and I use it on a lg c1 55" and since dying light 2 and horizon zero dawn forbidden west I have felt cheated lol. I'm angry I have a oled that I'm forced to play in 1080p-1800p because if I pick "quality mode" it looks like I have cataracts and makes my nice oled look like it's from 1995. Sorry if I came across obnoxious I was up till about 5am raging about it 😆.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West PS5, PS4 Graphics Modes Analysed by Digital Foundry

Mariosmaster1

@Northern_munkey 3 times ? My gpu is a msi suprim 3080ti it cost £1700 on its own and my cpu a Ryzen 9 5950x was £750 I have 3 1tb firecuda 530s too at £180 each. My asus thor 850w psu was about £220 my motherboard is a aorus master x570 at £300 and my case is a 7000D at about £240 with a asus lc 2 360 AIO cooler at £200 and 11 fans at £20 each. A £1350 would be nothing to sing about. You can get a prebuild with a 2060 for about £1000 and you're good for 1080p with that lol!

Re: Horizon Forbidden West PS5, PS4 Graphics Modes Analysed by Digital Foundry

Mariosmaster1

I'm playing it now on a ps5 and lg c1 55" and resolution mode is awful just like dying light 2. I am tired of this next gen rubbish the ps5 and series x are trash there is nothing next gen about them. It's either play in 60fps at 1080p etc or play in 4k at 30fps and watch the screen jitter as your TV tries to run at 60hz colours get brighter when moving unless in performance mode. Using performance mode makes paying £1500 for a TV pointless. A ps5 is supposed to have a gpu similar to a rtx 2070 the 2070 can play 60hz 4k with no issues. They need to stop making games for the ps4 and actually make games for the ps5 only so it actually makes it worth buying one. I try to enjoy all circles of gaming I have a pc with a suprim 3080ti amd a 5950x a series x a ps5 and a switch and the new consoles are really making it hard to enjoy these days with this trade off between frame rates and graphics. A new gen console should be impressive and not offering me a trade off.

Re: PS5 Owners Ponder What Sony Is Playing At with VRR

Mariosmaster1

VRR support isn't coming until they have released their new line up of television's that support VRR. I genuinely thought this was common knowledge, if they release it before then there is a good chance people with ps5s will buy a TV that already has vrr support from their competitors. Once the Sony A90k releases they will push the update but thats a 42" oled something LG also have coming so it will be about £1200 easily due to how hard they are to make. Why would people wait and spend that much on a 42" oled when they can buy a 48" lg c1/cx for less now. If they released them at the same time people are more likely to buy the newer TV....

Re: Over Half of Players Completed Ghost of Tsushima's Campaign

Mariosmaster1

@Shepherd_Tallon Tenchu was made by Acquire and published by Sony in Japan in 1998 Activision didn't make it in the west they were just the publishers. The fromsoftware version in 2009 was just a remake. GOT is open world Sekiro and tenchu are more open stages than world the game play is very similar too with historical fantasy and Japanese mythology. Only thing GOT shares is a grapple hook a sword and throwing stars that's like comparing Age of Empiires to Elder scrolls because of the time period or gear. Lock down and lack of games due to covid is the reason this has a high completion stat you can believe coincidence if you want though I don't care I have heard it as one of the worse Sony exclusives on the ps4 yet it has the higest completion rate and covid is irrelevant sure, sure.

Re: Over Half of Players Completed Ghost of Tsushima's Campaign

Mariosmaster1

@Col_McCafferty It's not cosmetic the weapons and armour are better than anything in the base game. Cosmetic dlc just changes somethings appearance not its stats . I shouldn't be expected to pay extra at a massively over inflated price for better gear from release day of the game when i'm already paying £60 for the base game and £30 for the season pass thats something that you expect to unlock in game or from dlc later down the line. Its not about needing it to finish the game its about the principle of it. They literally hold stuff back we used to get included just to charge more its ridiculous really and its the reason why people don't like them. I'm not getting into a debate about it im trying to explain something you wasn't sure about.

Re: Over Half of Players Completed Ghost of Tsushima's Campaign

Mariosmaster1

@Col_McCafferty ubisoft make good games true but they also love microtransactions and that's why people don't like them. Paying £90-100 for ac valhalla and the season pass to then to have the best gear locked behind a pay wall isn't fun and quite a trash approach. They don't care anymore its all about squeezing as much money as possible for them now and it really shows in 99% of their games.

Re: Over Half of Players Completed Ghost of Tsushima's Campaign

Mariosmaster1

I got bored after the first island. I found the game repetitive and easy even when I tried to play it on lethal mode. The story wasn't really interesting enough to keep me engaged. I usually complete most of my games but I didn't even bother bringing that one over to my ps5 that game wasn't for me.

Re: Over Half of Players Completed Ghost of Tsushima's Campaign

Mariosmaster1

@Shepherd_Tallon lol, its nothing like tenchu! Sekiro is a lot more closer to tenchu considering they are both shinobi both use grapple hooks as they wish instead of when prompted. GOT is a samurai game thats actually quite dull only reason so many completed it is because covid has had people locked away.

Re: Talking Point: Are You Worried About the Future of Western RPGs on PS5?

Mariosmaster1

No im not concerned at all
This is why I always get an xbox , Playstation and a Nintendo soni can enjoy games unique to the systems. I however am concerned that they are going to remake all the ps4 titles for ps5 just like they did with ps3 games on ps4 haha. I am slightly annoyed that they have remade gta5 for ps5 too instead of making gta6 gta5 released on ps3 in 2013 so no idea why its still a thing but im sure the extra blades of grass that the ps5 can display will make it worth the money ha!

Re: PS5 Doesn't Have an Optical Audio Port

Mariosmaster1

Oh well look like ill have to buy the adapter that's used on the ps4 slim for my steel series wireless Pro but if the ps5 is good enough i may buy that one because my pronis going upstairs on the bedroom tv anyway.
