@CynicalGamer For me it would already help if there is a difficulty slider like in Stranger of Paradise, Fallen Order & Kena. Not saying devolpers have to implement them, just for me personally it would help. I tend to stay away from challenging games since they give me stress and i cant really handle it when i keep dying a lot that frustrates me. But yeah happy for the fans of Nioh they get a game that is sort of like that.
I hope in Europe we will get around the same list. There is enough on there that i haven't played yet and i am interested in. So ill upgrade to extra for sure next week when it goes live here.
Fist of the north star on my ps5. A game by the makers of the Yakuza series and that's very noticeable. Not one of the best of their games but still a highly enjoyable one. Beside that I'm still doing some mission stuff here and there in Lego star wars the Skywalker saga and I'll see if I will continue for the platinum. On my Xbox im playing ff7. My first ever playthrough. It is noticeable it is an old game but the story is very good so I don't mind
@Korgon thanks m8. Lets hope they will be on our side as well. Guess we'll see when it launches in the US on Monday think it will be around the same as we get in Europe. Otherwise I'll just cave in and buy them on steam.
@Korgon How important is the sky trilogy? It isn't available on modern consoles and I have no access to older ones and I prefer consoles over my pc nowadays
Never expected a game shown in the devolver show to be the most interesting one of the entire evening. This looks so good and cool. The whole switching between 2d/3d making use of the environment is a very original and fun twist. I certainly will keep an eye out on this
Swiping up stuff for the plat on Lego star wars, since doing that as a side thing I started Fist of the north star. A great RGG game. On my Xbox im still going through ff7, it feels pretty old in everything but still enjoying it nonetheless
For me it's without a doubt Final fantasy Xvi. I'm not a big fighter game and horror fan. Sometimes I buy them when on a deep salw to try the out but would never buy one of those day 1. Stray seems OK but wouldn't have bought it, I'll try it since it comes to ps plus. Since I'm a fan of jrpgs eternights and ff xvi are the ones I'm looking most forward to with ff xvi taking the crown, the combat looks exactly like the type I enjoy and seeing it is made by the same studio as ff xiv gives me hope
so sad that we have to wait another year. Im so hyped for this. Seeing the trailers and knowing the team behind FFxiv is behind it makes it one of my most anticipated games for next year. Cant wait
Lego star wars the Skywalker saga on my ps5. Very chill and funny game. My first real lego game I'm playing and its pretty awesome. Think I'm gonna go for the plat on this one.
On my Xbox im playing ff7, the original one. Never played it. Even though it's pretty old the graphics don't bother me as much as I thought they would. It's a cool game to play. I can play ff7r later then so I'm not in the dark when playing that one.
Maybe I'll play some ai the somnium files or eso on the side, depending on how much time I feel spending on the other games. I like to play 2 to 3 games at once which aren't all the same type which prevents burnout on games for me I found out, so I'll just keep doing this
Of course this is largely due to stock issues and the PS5 will easily outsell the Xbox series by a mile over the lifetime in Japan. But if you look from Xbox point of view it is a big deal. Because in 1 1/2 years of series they almost sold twice as many xbox consoles than the xbox one console during its entire generation, which was less than 115k total. So for them its back to the 360 days where they sold 1.6 million units total.
@KilloWertz haha, I was hoping I would see it as spectacular but it doesn't blow me away as I hoped It would. Maybe it's because i prefer magic or melee combat over gunplay in those kind of games. But who knows, maybe it will start to blow me away further in. But good to hear you are enjoying it
Good to see ff xiv doing so well. They showed what you can accomplish if you listen to your fan base and make an mmo where you're not forced to login all the time.
Let's hope xvi will be the same success seeing the producer is the same as on xiv.
@BritneyfR_ee I think the mixed reviews with it also being a more niche game held it back. I also think the game is underappreciated. I loved the game very much and even got the platinum for it. The whole Japanese mythology setting was what drew me in at the first place. I hope it will get more love from more players since that game deserves it
@Tsushima Yeah it was my bad as i stated the post above you. Anyways i hope youll enjoy the Kaito files. In my opinion the story was even better than the main game's story and that one already was in my top 3 games of last year. It is on the shorter side though i think i finished the Kaito files in under 10 hours.
@Apfelschteiner My apologies you are right. I guess i didn't word it right. My answer was based on story dlc, since i had the digital ultimate edition since launch i forgot the digital deluxe items also existed lol
@Tsushima @Apfelschteiner The season pass for Lost Judment is only the Kaito files. This is the only dlc that appeared for the game and as far as i know no other DLC is planned for it.
@themightyant Exactly this. Most of the times its either pretty easy or very hard when a game is playable both coop and sp. So lets hope its doable as SP as i prefer to play my games alone
Still playing Ys 8 on my ps5. Absolutely gem of an action jrpg. It just works for me that game. Am like 50 hours in and nowhere near done yet. On my xsx im playing cyberpunk. It isn't a pretty good game like 7 out of 10 material, nothing really special but also not bad and the next gen improvements do make it better than it was
Still playing Ys 8: Lacrimosa of Dana on my Ps5. That game is so good. The combat and music especially is very good. Am a little over half and enjoying it very much.
On my Xbox I restarted cyberpunk 2077. Can't say much about it yet only 2 hours in so far.
@Royalblues I don't have acces to older consoles though, I only have a ps5 and Xbox series console. So maybe i will look if I can play some on steam, but rather want to play my games on console now. But certainly will consider them!
@Royalblues absolutely loving it. I'm not done with it yet though, I think I'm somewhere on chapter 3 and I think there are like 6 chapters. So about half way. It starts out a bit slowish but after the first chapter the story picks up its pace. The action is brilliant still not very good at the dodging and guarding though so only playing on normal. The music is absolutely great, but that generally seems to be the case in the action type oriented jrpgs.
@Korgon Good to hear this has so much content. I'm fairly new to the jrpg genre haven't played much else than both nier, tales of arise, scarlet nexus and ff xv. Currently bruising through ys 8 and since these games looked interesting I got all cold steel games in sales. Looks like I'm for a blast then
I'm prolly gonna upgrade to extra for the rest of my year subscription then. Seeing I haven't bought or played games like death stranding and returnal, since I'm usually not into those kind of games, I can try them to see if I like them enough to buy them.
@Shigurui I've been debating that as well with some games I finished on my Xbox to replay them again for the platinum. Ac Odyssey is certainly one of them, by far my favorite ac game.
Ys 8 : lacrimosa of Dana on Ps. Very good action rpg. Don't think I will go for the platinum though since you need to finish it on the hardest difficulty and I'm usually not good enough for that, but that's fine. On Xbox I'm playing Lost in random, dun Tim Burton style game. The combat is a bit different and I need to get used to it, but it's fun.
@mrtennis1990 most important advise I can give you take your time. The whole charm in the yakuza series lies in the whole diversity of activities to do. Darts? Karaoke? Baseball? Dance game? Shogi? All there just to name a few, then there is also the businesses you can lead in several of them to earn money. It's also an absolute Rollercoaster of emotions, one moment you're rolling on the floor laughing the next one you're almost brought to tears because of a sad side story. If it hooks you it hooks you good. After my first one I got addicted, there just isn't something like it
@Hootnoodle I'm also planning to replay like a dragon soon again and try to level the jobs more than before. It was my first ever Yakuza so didnt really know what it was like. But now that I finished all including both judgments I wanna play it again and having fun with all the side stuff. I'm so loving those games
Lost in random on my Xbox and sweeping up the last achievements on Ghostwire Tokyo. Loving my time in that world, the atmosphere is amazing and makes me want to keep walking around in it
@Martsmall I actually bought it in a sale on my ps5 not that long ago, i didn't expect it to come to gamepass or even Xbox at all. oh well now i can chose where to play it i guess
Finishing up the iki island in ghost of tsushima DC. Ghostwire Tokyo im also still playing and its a good game, working towards the platinum on that one. On my Xbox I'm playing Tiny Tina for some looter shooter fun
If Im getting the extra option I'll check it out what it is. But since I'm not a fan of rogue likes or challenging games I don't expect to play it for long
It was my first ever tales game and boy did i like it. It was my favourite game i played last year. But yeah as others have said the story is done. I'm curious what they will come up with next.
I voted meh it's OK. Not since the offer is that bad but more because the chance I will actually play any of these is close to 0. Not really my type of games
Ghostwire tokyo and Ghost of Tsushima. On my Xbox I'm playing tiny Tina. Ghostwire Tokyo is another one of those you love it or hate it games, I'm absolutely loving it. The whole Japanese mythology atmosphere is pretty awesome
@Envy it's not really what all gamers want. Don't forget that the majority of gamers who aren't on sites like this don't play much else than fifa, cod fortnite etc. Those games sell incredibly well and with the mtx I don't blame any company for going that route. Since making money is what a company wants. I also don't like it but its understandable from a business point of view
For me it all depends on what games are available with extra if i keep it to essential or might upgrade to extra (if that is even possible for existing yearly ps plus payers)
Ghostwire Tokyo on Ps5. Tiny Tina on Xbsx. Maybe a bit of Ghost of Tsushima. Ghostwire Tokyo is a very good game from what I've played. Typical Japanese atmosphere with fun action and it looks very good.
I would love a console version. Currently it isn't playable in my country due to a to gambling laws. For consoles there are ways around that so I wouldn't mind a console version
@suikoden good to hear appreciate the feedback. These kind of comments make me feel much more assured that I actually am going to like and can keep my controllers in one piece

On my ps5 I'm still playing Ys 8, what a brilliant jrpg it is. Am in the last chapter now but don't want it to end.
On my Xbox im playing cyberpunk 2077 which is okish, nothing spectacular. I also started a bit of eiyuden chronicles as side game.
