The same thing that would've gotten me to buy the PS4 Pro is what would prompt me to pick up 5's iteration - if/when my PS5 dies. My original PS4 is still ticking - here's hoping the 5 lasts at least as long!!

Been following this game since it was announced back in '19!! One of my most anticipated games due out this year! Want to give the pacifist run a shot!!! 😉

I enjoy both types of games. Just as I enjoy roast beef & pizza. Variety is the spice of life!!

I'm a huge turn-based RPG fan. I play some ARPGs, but vastly prefer their slower cousins. I've lost all interest in playing FF (haven't finished one since XIII-2 & haven't even played one since Lightning Returns).

That said, there's two things I keep in mind. The first is that not every game is going to be up my alley. That's fine. FF & I had a long run - it's the series that got me into gaming! Second, this has been Square's goal for decades - I remember them talking about making this type of RPG since the 80's - it's just taken them some time & technology developments to finally achieve it. There is a definite cool factor (imo) in their sticking to accomplishing this vision! I wish Square luck & hope ARPG fans enjoy the game.

I'll be over here playing Baldur's Gate III & Broken Roads.

I'm looking forward to finding out more about Banishers. That trailer got my attention!

I thoroughly enjoyed MYZ. This new game by the Bearded Ladies also looks right up my alley!! Looking forward to it!

From there, just hit the download button." Thank you for this heads-up! I wouldn't have found the demo without it! Don't know why Sony's making it so hard to find demos.

I've never played an MMO or any live service game. Been Single Player all the way for over 25 years now!!! Guess I should change my handle to Solitary Jaguar!!!

The main reason I didn't purchase Midnight Suns is because of the cards. Not my favorite gameplay style. Also, I'm much more a DC fan than Marvel (that's just me - not saying I'm right/better). Capes, however, looks right up my alley - gameplay looks excellent & since they're all new characters, I've got no bias!

Just heartbreaking. RIP, Annie, thank you for all the joy you brought into the lives of complete strangers. My condolences to all your loved ones.

If/when my PS5 dies, I'd consider purchasing the detachable disc model. Initially, I didn't think I would, but then I reconsidered - my original PS1 & PS4 never died, but my first PS2 & PS3 did: both had the disc drives die. So that got me thinking - be cheaper to replace just the disc drive than have to buy a whole new console.

Wish they'd let you copy your saves to an USB stick the way you could on PS3 & PS4. Hopefully, one of these days! 🤞🏽

He's worked DECADES to finally achieve these well-deserved accolades, the award was given to him by Al Pacino, who he clearly admires, & people are griping he enjoyed the moment for less than 8 lousy minutes?! SMH.

I do like that they always give the option to write in your own choices. It's what I do for most of the categories. I realize my picks stand little to no chance of winning, but they're my favorites of the year, & it (hopefully) lets Sony know that some of us enjoy the less beaten path!

Deepest/most involved RPG, will be playing for months: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

Enjoyed this - it made me smile!! 😸 Zillion times better, imo, than the American ad.

@Ratmonger9 Instead of kingdom building, it's crusade management this time. But, just like Pathfinder, you can set those to "auto" & not be bothered with them. It's what I do!

Not my type of game. Recently picked up (& will probably be playing right through the winter) Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Big fan of Kingmaker & so far, this looks to be just as good!!

Couple of games not on the list - I really enjoyed Hard West. Would give it 8.5 ricochet bullets! The one game I really love that didn't make the list (☹️) was Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Eagerly awaiting next week's release of Wrath of the Righteous on PS!!

Thanks to the yapping UI, I turned off trophy notifications (it was talking over the game!). I have since discovered (thanks, YouTube) how to turn it off, but also noticed I haven't missed having the pop-ups for the trophies!! I have damn-near everything turned off - it's almost like the PSX/PS2 eras, & I'm fine with that!! 😸

And now (9a EST, Aug. 31) it's already exceeded its goal by more than $250,000!!! 👍🏼 😸
