Yesterday we brought you news of a novel Double Kickstarter project, headed by the original creators of the Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts franchises, that seeks to create spiritual successors to both series. Well, the Kickstarter is live and blowing up, and we got a trailer for Penny Blood, to boot.
At the time of writing, the Kickstarter has been live for 10 hours and has already passed the $530,000 mark, with a funding goal of just over $720,000, all but guaranteeing the project will move forward. There are still another full 30 days of fundraising ahead, with numerous stretch goals (including a PS5 release) in the offing.
Penny Blood's trailer looks awesome, and while we don't have a lot to go on, you can see why these titles have captured the imaginations (and wallets) of longtime JRPG fans. You can see a fun trailer for the Kickstarter project below.

Look pretty interesting, love the double trailer and spin board options. Will keep an eye on these, hope they succeed.

Man, Shadow Hearts 2 is one of the best RPGS on the PS2. Can't wait for this to come out.
Now all we need is a port or remaster of the ps2 shadow hearts on the new generation of consoles, who ever owns the rights to these games are sitting on a goldmine

Had to fund it. Big Wild Arms fan and loved the promo video he did.
And now (9a EST, Aug. 31) it's already exceeded its goal by more than $250,000!!! 👍🏼 😸
They've hit over $1 million USD now, so console versions are now a guarantee!
Next stretch goal will be for New Game Plus at $1,500,000 USD. I hope they will reach it soon so we can get the most out of the games. There are also individual goals for each game, so please support if you can!
