@Specky I mean, taking risks is always commendable, but come on - like with Watch Dogs as well; if it's not sprinkling peoples feathers then why continue churning them out??...like you say, it's basically just check listing at this point, whereby even the better AC and Far Cry entries seem plagued by it 🙂

Just picked up Sonic Origins, Hogwarts Legacy, and Aliens: Dark Descent on the black friday sales...Sonic - I was there at the beginning, and still - 30yrs later - absolutely terrific... Hogwarts and Aliens - only a couple hours done, and honestly; so far so good....I wouldn't call them genuine GotY contenders, but definitely doing the job 🙂

@nomither6 considering how many times we've seen heavyweight developers go from amazing masterpieces to downright disastrous these past few years, you've no idea how right you are 😔

And so the Arkham series remains the greatest - looking at the spidey 2 trailers, it definitely looked better than the first one, alas still really just looking decent at best 🙂

Are we really still calling this genre "SoulsBorne" - At the end of the day aren't they all just Souls Clones?? 🤔

I wouldn't worry about Suicide Squad - after that disastrous gameplay reveal back in Easter, I think it's well and truly jumped off the cliff....Unless Rocksteady pulled an almighty joke and the real gameplay is astounding 🙂

One has to wonder how these comments would look if sony were the ones with deep pockets - my guess, very different indeed 🙂

All this talk about compromise for the Series S makes me wonder why the same didn't apply for PS5 digital 🤔.... Anywho; The Sept 6th battle between Starfield and Baldurs Gate 3 is well and truly spicing up - or it would be if for the fact you can get one of these games for free 🙂

Ya know it baffles how FIFA continues to be a mainstay in the top 10, considering nigh on everyone on the store review page, more or less say 23 is bloody awful 🙂

Im no fan of the harry potter series - but this is tempting my interest...hopefully itll end up being the spiritual successor to bully weve all been waiting for 🙂

Quite difficult this time - though push square using my gamer tag as one of the answers for bioshock infinite was very heartening 😄

@Baccaman well the good news is, yes it does finally work...the bad news is it's still a boring disappointment and not remotely what was promised imo 🙂

30 years ago, one of the greatest games ever made was born (sonic 2 for those not caught on) and my 6yr old self thought things can only get better - little did I know it was to be an embarrassing downward spiral, eventually resulting into some lackluster open worlder that turned out to be the first major win in a lllllooooooong time...or maybe I'm just bitter and cynical I don't know 😄

@PiXiL I won't dispute HR is a great game, coz it is - but my advice (if you haven't already) go back to the original from 2000...granted, it's a bit archaic for today's standards; but imo still one of the greatest games ever made 🙂

So long as I can still ride that mine cart like a little virtual Indy, I'll be tickety boo 😄

@themightyant yeah that's one thing I'm definitely not disputing - but come on...5 and half years old and breath of the wild is still knocking around the £50 mark??

Considering Nintendo hardly do sales, and even years old games are still pretty much full price - it's amazing how the top ten is absolutely littered...more money than sense some people 😄

Finally found Valhalla and Mass Effect legendary on a decent sale, so just ploughing through that - also thought I'd go through the Orange Box...been years since I last played it 🙂

@NEStalgia I don't know probably - aside from anything else it has released on 3 gens of hardware, more people are gonna become aware of it as time passes, (as insinuated in a prior comment) or maybe they just wanna throw they're money away 🙂😄
