Gonna have a run through Rise of the Tomb Raider...Can't believe I've not played it yet 🙂

I'm happy with my current console (at least till next gen; provided it's worthwhile) - But if people are happy chucking away nearly £800 for essentially a graphics upgrade, then who am I to stop them 🙂

Because I'm obviously a glutton for punishment, I've decided to replay AC: Odyssey 🙂

@get2sammyb yeah I mean for all Maddens faults, the commentary actually feels like you're playing a live game 🙂

I mean you'd think EA would be able to acquire top quality commentary icons like Guy Mobray, Robyn Cowen, Jonathan Pearce etc...But nope still stuck with Derek Rae and whatshisface 🙄🙂

@Maubari Ok i'll give you that one; the colour has dulled somewhat over 15yrs, but nah - I can see where you're coming from on some aspects re: unplayable gameplay, but I think we'll have to agree to disagree... Definitely on my all time best games list 🙂

@Maubari Origins being unplayable nowadays?? Nah, i'm not having that - despite its rough edges, its still a damn masterpiece in my book....However - i do agree the 'save the mage tower' quest can go straight to hell though😊

We first met the darkspawn in 2009, and 15yrs later they still look pretty great....Here on the other hand - they look absolutely f***ing insane 😎

In preparation for Veilguard, I've decided to have another run though of Dragon Age Origins....Aside from that, just a few other old faves, and saving my pennies for Outlaws next weekend 🙂

@Monstermash40 im pretty much going through it myself and so far its completely playable solo...make sure youre on a SX/PS5 though...load times for last gen are abysmal 🙂

I really wanna get hyped for Veilguard; However, after being burned by DA2 and Inquisition (ntm Bioware in general), its just not coming right now....There is some solace though - I remember during the 00s, every Batman game was just awful until a little game called Arkham Asylum released and the rest as they say is history 🙂

@Atreus97 except you dont really need to play in order to get a liking/disliking, since theres many places now you can watch gameplay...And also; dont forget first impressions count for a lot 🙂

@Maubari true - it's definitely rough around the edges, but it just beats 2 and Inquisition by a country mile in my book 🙂

So long as I can jump straight into Veilguard without being confused as to what's happening - I must've tried Inquisition nearly a dozen times, yet by the time I've opened the third area/arrived at Sky Forge Castle (I think that's its name) I really just lose interest....Such a shame the DA series is all over the place - quality wise - as (imo) Origins is a damn masterpiece 🙂

Id have to agree sadly...all throughout the gameplay i just felt bored 🙂

So long as the story, mechanics, gameplay elements and pretty much everything else is better than Valhalla, consider me a happy bunny 🙂

Can i suggest Sean, dont over promise and take half a decade to deliver this time 🙂

@Specky I mean, taking risks is always commendable, but come on - like with Watch Dogs as well; if it's not sprinkling peoples feathers then why continue churning them out??...like you say, it's basically just check listing at this point, whereby even the better AC and Far Cry entries seem plagued by it 🙂

Going by a complete stab in the dark - but judging by the fact not a single soul seems bothered, maybe it's time Ubisoft stopped flogging this dead horse 🙂

Just picked up Sonic Origins, Hogwarts Legacy, and Aliens: Dark Descent on the black friday sales...Sonic - I was there at the beginning, and still - 30yrs later - absolutely terrific... Hogwarts and Aliens - only a couple hours done, and honestly; so far so good....I wouldn't call them genuine GotY contenders, but definitely doing the job 🙂

@nomither6 considering how many times we've seen heavyweight developers go from amazing masterpieces to downright disastrous these past few years, you've no idea how right you are 😔

@Matroska out of sheer curiosity, what game in your opinion, did Nintendo life/pure xbox give an undeserved 10?? I know starfield got an 8 (or 9, cant quite remember) so cant have been that 🙂
