I think this is a drastic improvement as PES was not for me. It will all come down to personal preference, but this is effectively three games this month. Given that they can't please everybody all the time, 3 games is better than 2 and that's how I'll choose to interpret it, even though I already own some of them. Might even reactivate my auto-renew if this keeps up next month.
@Barryburton97 I don't think that's entirely fair. The general concensus as far as I can tell is that the price increased by 25% and the number of games dropped by more than 65%. That's an entirely legitimate cause for complaints. If Netflix increased their price by a tenner a month and only showed 3 films, would people be allowed to complain about that?
@deepspace5d I cancelled my auto-renew 3 months ago. I've had no reason to reactivate it so far. Here's hoping something improves soon! But I imagine Sony are hoping to just ride it out until PS5 releases.
@CATGOD Nope, pity. But whilst I have no interest in football, I'm really interested in the Outrun-looking one! The best kind of retro, as far as I'm concerned. Always preferred racing to platforming on my Atari ST way back when.
@CATGOD I've enjoyed what we've had recently. Still feel they should have offered something extra when they dropped PS3 and Vita games, but Overcooked and Edith Finch were both excellent, excellent games!
@CATGOD I'd actually not mind Metal Gear Survive as well. Back in the days when we got loads of indies, I liked that my PS+ sub got me playing games I wouldn't normally buy. I miss that.
Still playing Mad Max. Missed loads on my first play through all those years ago. It's great fun to revisit and just brainless enough to act as relaxation when I'm not making stuff explode.
In between that, I've kind of fallen in love with arcade mode on GT Sport. I wish we had a proper single player mode on that, but the arcade will do for now. I'm also itching to finish Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which I've not touched in 3 weeks.
It seems to me that increasing the annual cost by 25% whilst reducing the number of free games by 48 (a 66% decrease) over the same period has upset their customer base.
It also appears that Sony genuinely don't really care whether people are dissatisfied or not as long as they've pocketed the cash.
I've been a full-on Sony fanboy for 23 years and even my brand loyalty is wavering.

Re: Soapbox: You Should Check Out Horizon Chase Turbo When it Drifts onto PS Plus in July
Yeah, I'm looking forward to giving it a go. Been tempted to buy it a couple of times.
Re: Talking Point: PlayStation Plus Is in Desperate Need of an Overhaul
@C0NNERS that's another brilliant idea.

@Barryburton97 seems like an excellent solution.

Re: Talking Point: What Free July 2019 PS Plus Games Do You Want?
@CATGOD It sounds like you were raised right! I prefer this generation of console, if I'm honest though. 15 year old me would have loved Far Cry!

@CATGOD exactly! Either of those.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Your PS Plus Games for June 2019?
Yeah, this is much more like it!
Re: Talking Point: What Free June 2019 PS Plus Games Do You Want?
I'm holding out for Final Fantasy XII or a Dragon Quest game - Builders would be great.
And Tacoma as I loved Gone Home and Edith Finch.
Re: First GRID PS4 Gameplay Footage Speeds into View
Grid Autosport was my favourite ps3 racer. So beautifully balanced. I'm intrigued to see if it's closer to that than Grid 2.

Timesplitters in any guise would be most welcome. I very much enjoyed all of them on my PS2 back in the day.

Can't wait for Watchdogs 3!
The second one was one of my favourite games of all time. Here's hoping the London rumours are true...
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 271
Finished Edith Finch today in one sitting. It's so very wonderful. Seriously impressed. A fillet steak of a game.
Following it up with the gaming equivalent of popcorn: Mad Max. Because I'm tired and don't want to think much.

@nookie_egg you beat me to it!
Re: State of Play: Away: The Survival Series Is Sugar Gliding onto PS4
@AdamNovice I totally though it WAS WILD when the trailer started! I was mid air-punch when I realised.
I was only temporarily disappointed, mind you. If they get David Attenborough to narrate then I'll pre-ordered right now!
