Today marks the first day I've been to this website since this pack dropped. I'm struggling to want to do anything else but play hitman in VR. It's ridiculous how good it was even before this update. The QOL bits they've polished here make it essential.
However, I share the sentiment that not reviewing VRs big hitters on this site is a poor show. Not only does it fuel the incorrect assumption many have in the comments section of pushsquare that PSVR2 is dead. It's not a good look. It smacks of dismissive, journalistic laziness and makes its users look to other sites for info and reviews.
Now, what kind of website wants you to look elsewhere? Push Square, you're not the site I signed up for any more, sadly. And that's a shame.
This is interesting. Mainly because, 18 months ago, I cancelled my Netflix subscription and joined my local library. I've not missed netflix for a single second since. I can already get mobile games from the Play store (or apple's equivalent) without any monthly subscription.
Add to the this the impressive current console market sales and the fact people already love retro hardware and, frankly, I think he's talking out his bumhole.
SOLD! All they had to do was not fun it and it sounds like they've managed to not change anything that I loved. Contender for one of my favourite games of all time.
@Bunchesopuppies While I disagree from the perspective that I actually do like those elements, I do agree that skip buttons are in order. It should always be an option. Either in a menu or held button to avoid skipping by mistake. Otherwise you risk gamers getting disconnected from your game if they're itching for more gameplay.
Learning to do without stuff you don't need is a great way to avoid being caught out by scalpers. Sure, it looks nice, but it's still just so much plastic and silicon bunging up your living space. Let it go and the scalpers don't make a penny! Just realised "oh, yeah! I don't really need it. It's just another console. I can wait for the next one and simply enjoy what I have!" and go about your day unburdened. Solved!
This is all fascinating, but I'm currently nearing another 1000 glorious hours in a 2015 zombie game. I've spent plenty on cosmetics and dlc expansions and all have improved my enjoyment of the game immensely. Sony can do what they like as long as they don't take away my Dying Light.
Glad people are picking up on the fact that this reads like a low-brow Facebook post. I live near a place called Worksop where everyone speaks like this and my eyes are so tired from rolling.
I thought this game was dead! I've been looking for updates since that video dropped in 2022! I'm pretty stoked for this. I really hope it's the right kind of "so crazy it's good" bad. Has an air of old Japanese PS2 games that were near incomprehensible, but hilarious fun, and I miss those.
I'm usually an ardent supporter of free stuff and I don't want to say anything negative so I'll just say that I'm sure whoever picks these games it doing their best.
Streets of Rage is fantastic and won't eat your life. You can have it finished in a single sitting.
@zekepliskin Absolutely. Music, and other content, is made to please an algorithm, not for the listeners. I see live-service games as the equivalent of this in gaming.
@zekepliskin Oh, I agree. I'm a musician myself and it's a constant uphill battle, so many people now simply stream all their entertainment and it feels kind of inevitable. I've got lots of physical games and my favourite albums are all on vinyl, but the general trend is definitely towards digital.
@crypticc Do you not think this trend of requiring constant online connections, or having online-only save files, will continue and become more prevalent until discs are all but useless? Even now a large number of them are essentially just keys to unlock a download. Consoles even come supplied without disc drives now.
Year on year companies make it harder and harder to resell or share games. Physical is in its death throes regardless of what we do and there's absolutely nothing we can do as consumers to stop it. I'm not saying it's a good thing, but we're swimming upstream by fighting it. The same happened with music and movies. It is only a matter of time.
I'm still in hospital and bored of Fallout Shelter now so I'm going to be watching 70s and 80s horror flicks. Currently Q: The Winged Serpent. I'd quite like to go home soon. 😕
Woah, there's a lot of stress about this. I'll admit, the character designs look quite different from the original (and, in my opinion, James looks too young to have been though what he's been through and Mariah's design is not as provocative as the original design, but that's just, like, my opinion, man), but games should be played. This is just a trailer. I'm waiting for the reviews.
I'm tempering my expectations. I've no idea of the overlap between development teams, but the Test Drive game on PS3 had some issues. My primary complaint was that the Lotus Evora, which you received as a prize, had the gears in the wrong order First, Third, Second, Fourth, etc. No idea how that got through QA. I would like to play a decent iteration, though. Let's hope this is it.
Given that I've been in hospital since Thursday for emergency CT and, subsequently, bronchoscopy, I'm mostly playing fallout shelter on my phone and watching the series on prime as well as making music on my tablet and being constantly interrupted by people with needles and slightly disappointing cups of tea.
That's how I've always said it. It was common knowledge in the early 90s that it was short for giblets. I believe it was the first time "giblet" was used as a verb.
I'm kind of struggling to see the point of this article without being cynical.... 🤔
Also, if I'm being completely honest, I struggled to finish the first one despite its meager runtime. I just tuned out. And with literally, and embarrassingly, hundreds of games in my backlog, I'll probably survive.

@SuntannedDuck2 indeed.
Re: Hermen Hulst No Longer PlayStation Co-CEO, Still in Charge of First-Party
@SuntannedDuck2 That was .... quite a ride.
Re: Shuhei Yoshida on PSVR2: 'I'm Sorry'
It is interesting to me how many of the critics of PSVR2 in this comment section alone finish their comment by stating that they don't use it.

Re: New PlayStation Handheld Looking Even More Likely as Digital Foundry Backs Up Reports
Sony said they'd look after the last one. Said they'd feed it and walk it every day.
No. If they couldn't look after that one, they shouldn't be allowed another. Not until they grow up.
Re: New PS5 Firmware Update Available Today in Phased Release
@Nakatomi_Uk I'm hoping the backpedal on that, but not, you know, expecting a lot.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy PS5 Pro If It Was Cheaper?
To say I'm not interested would be a lie. To say I'm going to buy one at that price and without a disc drive would also be a lie.
Re: More Regular Minecraft Content Releases Planned, Native PS5 Version Still Coming
@Bamila If it turns out to not look any nicer on current gen then that would definitely be a missed opportunity. I'm not entirely optimistic.

AEW is. Ouch. It made me cringe. Hard.
Fingers crossed for next month. 😁
Re: Cult PS2 Horror The Thing Remastered Returns in 4K, 120fps on PS5
Love the movie, loved this game, day one purchase.
Re: Inventive PS2 Horror The Thing May Infect PS5, PS4
@Americansamurai1 I second this.
Also, John Carpenter's The Thing is in my top 3 movies of all time and I never got to finish this back when it came out.
