The Last of Us: Part II is the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive ever with more than four million copies shipped to players around the world in just three days. That incredibly impressive statistic will have only risen in the near two weeks since, but here's another phenomenal fact for you. Naughty Dog's latest masterpiece sold more copies in the UK than the entirety of each week's top 10 for June combined.
This means that Sony became the UK's biggest publisher last month as continued sales of The Last of Us Remastered, Marvel's Spider-Man, Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War helped to boost the Japanese giant up the charts. Sony-published titles made up 29% of all physical sales across the United Kingdom and 37% of the total revenue. 1.24 million copies of boxed games were sold during the month of June, making it the second-biggest month for sales this year. When you take into account just how well The Last of Us: Part II, that's some seriously impressive reading.
