The PC game compatible Xbox isn't going to be on the market until late 2027 at the earliest.

To think any (nevermind "a lot") future owners are at the moment "port-begging" is fanciful.

Best one they did so far is the Atari 2600, it even had cartridges to build too.

Think the difference is that Nintendo and Xbox digital game keys can be bought from 3rd parties allowing competition and (very) competitive prices.

Otherwise they could have found themselves on that lawsuit too.

Not in my experience at least - I've bought about 600 Xbox and Steam keys.
I've had a few not work, but that's been down to seller error and is usual quickly remedied by the vendor.

Nintendo's walls aren't quite as high as those on Sony's garden. Nintendo game keys can be bought on 3rd party websites.

It's not really that bizarre, and a couple of people (myself included) commented explaining why we thought so on your last article.

Xbox didn't do a mid-gen power bump like the PS5 Pro which no doubt satisfied a lot of PS owners who have bought it and base PS5 owners have the option to upgrade to it.

The PS5/Pro is also highly successful.

Therefore a PS6 is possibly seen by many as unnecessary any time soon.

Hardware upgrade fatigue?

Xbox on the other hand didn't do the mid-gen power-bump and are looking to offer something different next-gen from the relatively unsuccessful Series S|X other than just more power.

That's my thinking anyway for what it's worth, on the interest of Project Helix v the current indifference for a PS6 anytime soon.

It's a different situation with the next Xbox.
There was no mid-gen upgrade like the PS Pro and the next Xbox looks like it's going to have something different to offer over Series SX other than more power.

Bit blinded by your love for Sony @get2sammyb clouding your judgement.

You've got this one wrong.

Who would honestly think it would be only after finishing the game and even then just be a challenge mode.
