@OrtadragoonX when the kid is teeny tiny is actually a great time for handheld games and catching up on shows it doesn't last long but you can figure out some pretty complicated methods for feeding a bebe a bottle and a game. i suggest finding a nice, slow turn based strategy,

good luck with he kid and grats!

Why is always that the market leader of a given always has to be so greedy - instead of just giving people a great game? if they did I bet more people wouldn't wait for a giant sale and just buy the game at release. I would.

Disappointing because NBA is a great game franchise. Thanks for the review.

Of the three Level 5 games releasing this is the one I will get first without any doubts.

If some of the people here saying L5 games will hit gamepass early - that is a really big deal imho. That and Sea of Stars is going to start turning some Nintendo fans eyes to the XS.

I really dont like L5 stacking their releases so close to one another though. Not a great idea. Some people like me want to play all three.

@Flaming_Kaiser Guess it didn't work out. For me the towers were a turn off. The game felt like a board room decision:

"So team, what game has sold over 10M copies and how can we clone it?"
"Monster Hunter"
"YES. What else?"
"Fortnite?"
"Done. mash them up together."

If they didn't go with a Japanese theme it could have done better. instead, you knew they were simply trying to do MH - and you might as well simply play MH.

When you think about Monster Hunter - you really have to reach to come up with anything to improve. World and Rise really are about as close to perfection as they come.

Many gamers have been asking for EA to go under for years. they are in an obvious decline. No one talks about madden any longer - the football game doesn't stick around on the charts for as long as they used to. FIFA of course but with them losing their license...will the giant finally fall?

Hopefully so I hope everyone is fired and thrown out in the snow.

@Mythologue Nintendo's was no different. people falling all over themselves to pay full price on old games with barely any updates. I find it all sickening.

We are going through another 2012 but this time I think developers are more prepared for gamer backlash.

@OrtadragoonX I never read his two cents on tactics - which was also one of my favorite games from that era. Now I know to avoid it. Thank you for that. I absolutely hate when people try to explain things to me that are mine.

One of the most frustrating things i find in modern entertainment - are those "explanations" they post after a popular show. An example was game of thrones - they'd go into great detail about the most mundane simple things. Do they have such contempt for their audience that they feel the need to explain why this guy hates that guy or why a dragon breathes fire?

Maybe they do. I feel i was born in the wrong time.

"Sacred" is the right word for VII. I have finished 100s of games over the years and I could only tell you the ending to a small handful of them - FFVII probably foremost.

The final cutscene of VII - with Red (or Red's cubs) crossing the land, devoid of humans, is to this day possibly the greatest cutscene in video game history. i really don't like the idea of them toying with that ending in any way. It's a big reason i avoid these - i don't want them untying that bow and re-tying it to satisfy a much dumber public.

My favorite part was when they bleeped out the word 'ass' in Ghostbusters and then right away it cut to Resi Evil where the first phrase was "You fuc**rs".

You could tell this presentation was put together in a few hours.

Resi 4 VR looked cool. The Helldivers mic speak was cringe. It made the game look worse than it probably is. Avatar's world looked colorful and fun. Spidey did look like a really fun game but everyone knows about that. I think FF7 will turn off a good many people - just like 16 did. Too much baggage with FF7.

Not as bad as I thought it would be - but nothing special either. okay.

@anoyonmus I give it a 7. I probably would have enjoyed it more but the final reveal was a bummer for me personally. TTYD is a great game and I know how many people were dying for it - but remakes bore me to tears and these shows are filled with more and more of them every quarter.

still enough for me though. Trombone Champ and FZero 99 I am downloading and playing today. Those two stole the show for me. the Atlus Unicorn game looks badass and right in my wheelhourse too.

1 down 1 to go!

@UltimateOtaku91 Minecraft Legends. And the console editions of hit Pc games games like AoE IV etc.

You should expect Sony to put out 3-4 games a year. MS put out 5. Nintendo the same. It is called a pipeline and you need one. Whether you need to scale down some games and make some games bigger that is on the company. If they don't deliver a product why is it on you to hold their water when the other companies are doing everything better?

It is okay to admit 2023 is a terrible year for Sony. It is okay to demand that they do better. 1 middling game isn't enough for any expensive console when the other two companies have the covid funk so far in the rearview you cannot see it.
