Re: PlayStation Stars Rewards Program Shutting Down, Sony Confirms

Buck51

I bought a pc at the begining of the year and have not looked back. Still have my ps5 but don't use it.

I have to be honest I think i will be sticking with pc gaming from now on. The games are so much cheaper plus more variety. Epic online store is doing 20% back on your purchases until 31st august
There is a new game out tomorrow on ps5 from konami which is £25. On epic it's free. It's a proper retail release called deliver at all costs.

I feel console manufacturers like sony and Nintendo are becoming worse as time goes on.

My ps5 is the last console I will ever buy

Re: Opinion: If You're on the Fence, Consider Buying a PS5 Now Before the Prices Inevitably Rise

Buck51

In February inhad to buy a new pc as my old one coudnt upgrade to windows 11. Decided to spend a bit more than I usually would and got a good deal on a gaming PC through argos of all places.

I only spent £800 on a pc that does the majority of games including clair obscura at maximum setting and at 4K resolution. This has totally changed my outlook. I haven't played on my ps5 since I have had it.

With the way gaming is going, we are all being forced down the digital route. The fact that some games don't even have the full game on the disc and you even have to rely on a download, what's the point in the disc. In time all manufacturers will do it and eventually we will all be digital.

So with the way gaming is going and my new pc, the ps5 will be my last console. I don't see the need in the ps5 pro as the pc I bought is actually more powerful than it. I won't be getting g the eventually ps6 now either. The investment in a new console and the price of new games is getting to high for many and I can't commit to that anymore.

Pc gaming is so much cheaper and I am having a blast. I won't get rid of my ps5 but for gaming pc is now my home.

Re: Capcom's PS Plus Premium Games Available Now without Subscription

Buck51

Brilliant news, I noticed yesterday and bought it straight away.
Just booting it up, brought back so many memories.

I actually send an email to capcom asking them to please take dino of the prime paywall so we can buy it. Look like they listened 😂 I am sure I was one of many who sent an email to them, so I can't take all the credit 😂😂😂😂😂

Re: Guerrilla's Next Horizon Game May Launch Sometime in 2025 on PS5

Buck51

This is a problem for me. I love the horizon franchise with a passion but equally I hate online games with an even bigger passion. I understand people love multilayer but let's keep it to ganes like call of duty, fortnite and destiny.

Stop taking games like horizon and making an online only version.

What they could do is release horizon 3 with the proper single player component but add a multilayer element giving people the choice without alienating the fan base. Like they did with uncharted and the last of us.

Will I get horizon next year if its online only? I really don't know. If it continues the story of the previous game, I may not have a choice as I love the story. I suppose we will have to see what happens

Re: Crickets as Suicide Squad Endures Another Muted Launch

Buck51

I bought suicide squad on sale a month ago and started playing last week. I think the game is quite fun to be honest. I can see the live service element but I am ignoring it and just enjoying the single player experience of it. I wish they would just stop this live service

Re: PS5 Fan Favourite Stellar Blade Sold Over 1 Million Copies, Dev Estimates

Buck51

I am glad that shift up are pleased with the result. I like others are surprised that it didn't sell much more. Its one of the best games I have played in a very long time and I very much hope that more content or a sequel will happen.

It's a shame that millions upon millions will pay out for the yearly rubbish of games like call of duty but proper quality games like stellar blade gets missed. Even though I thought it would sell more, 1 million for a new I P for 1 platform is still impressive.

Re: UK Video Game Retailer GAME Will Reportedly Stop Stocking Video Games

Buck51

I fondly remember game and gamestation and I use to enjoy the banter with the staff but for many many years game has been on a steep decline. The last thing I bought in game was the collector edition of avatar on ps5 and that was through their online website. I only went to them as they where they only stockist that was selling the full collector edition. I think the writing was on the wall with the end of trade in and then when they cancelled their loyalty card

I still prefer physical media and get the majority of my games through amazon as we have prime.

They really need to start thinking of changing their name now. Game is dead long live the toy shop 😂😂😂

Re: Tomb Raider Legend Unearths 480p, 30fps Performance on PS5, PS4

Buck51

I am so torn with this because I am a massive tombraider fan but paying £16 is a bit steep. I think that if you have the ps2 disc version of this, which I still have. You should be able to out the ps2 disc into the ps5 and get free access to it. It's obviously for financial reasons they do this but it would be great if they made a stand alone emulator that you could put your own disc base games in and play.

Re: Tomb Raider Legend Unearths 480p, 30fps Performance on PS5, PS4

Buck51

@get2sammyb whe. They say its uprendered? Have they done anything to get rid of the jagged edges which is synonymous with games back then. The ps1 games because they where upscaled it removed most of the jagged edges. At 480p on a 4k tv if they haven't done anything to smooth out the edges it must look really bad. I love tombraiderbut before I buy I just wanted to check.

Re: Even as a LEGO Game, Horizon Adventures' PS5 Visuals Are Off the Charts

Buck51

Isn't it nice to have 2 games that many are looking forward to that dosent rely on sex and extreme violence to sell itself.

Astro bot and horizon lego adventures look amazing and I cant wait for both of them. I don't mind some action games but gaming these days is deluged with extremely violent games. Its nice to have a bit more balance.

Re: Breath of the Wild Meets Style Savvy in Whimsical PS5 Open World Infinity Nikki

Buck51

@get2sammyb the problem for people like me is that we play a game get want we want from it and move on to the next but still like the idea that if you want to revisit the game later down the line you can. These types of games are never ending and they can be pulled at anytime and all the hours you have soaked Into them are gone forever. Recent events like what ubisoft did with the crew show this. That's why I don't bother with free to play and live service games. I was so looking forward to this game but I may have to scub it off my list now. why cant developers just give the option of have it live if you want but have a core single player experience that you can go back to time and time again without all this live service rubbish. I will get off my soap box now 😂😂😂😂

Re: Capcom Hits Record High Profits for Seventh Year in a Row

Buck51

It's interesting how well studios and companies can do when they are not bought out by money grabbing greedy companies who think throwing money and any problem is the answer. Amazing as well what happens when talent is allowed to breathe and not forced to do things they dont want to do and not forced by financial timetables.

Take note Microsoft & embracer. This us how you run a software business alow your talented staff to create wonders for you.

Re: Tango Gameworks, Arkane Austin, More Closed in Brutal Bethesda Restructure

Buck51

This proves one thing. Game pass Is a failure. I think we will see a lot more Microsoft games on ps5 so that they can make a profit in their gaming section.

I would hate to be any of the remaining teams with Microsoft.. if any of their games fail which they wil on gamepass because its not possible to make a profit as much as they would like. Maybe ninja theory will be next if their next game doesn't do well.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Stellar Blade?

Buck51

I have been gaming for over 40 years and there is not a lot of games these days that's gets me excited but stellar blade was different and what made it better was once it was released it lived up to and excelled in what I was expecting.

We need more games like this. Its not many games that make you feel bad ass like this one.
