I remember your article where you said AAA gaming is getting to be unstainable and I kind of agree. Only the big hitters are safe it feels like. One bad game sales wise and a studio is in trouble.

@get2sammyb That's the one yeah. It didn't look that great I know but still I would have liked to see it on a console I actually like.

I wish Square would have put that FF cart racing game on PlayStation. The Switch got it and I am still jealous.

I only want Resident Evil & Fable. Especially Resident Evil.

I like the attitude from these developers. Takes some guts to release your game at that time.

@Art_Vandelay except the industrial revolution isn't a sentient thing that can add to itself and delete a companies data like AI can and has done. There have even been tests where they put AI together in a digital environment and it kills other AI.

And here I am I turned off that trigger thing day one lol.

@Oram77 That sucks. So many companies losing money and having to fire developers lately it feels like. At least Sony isn't closing them down though so I guess there is a silver lining.

I just read the tweet and apparently the person has news about Bungie next week. I have a bad feeling about that.

I'm still just so mad about the Oblivion remaster laziness. I don't want to see that in a game again. I'm talking about outside a house it has no windows but go in the house, and it has two big fronts windows sort of stuff btw.

Sure it's bad but nothing compared to AI centres. And I was mostly pointing out the naivety of people saying 'as long as it's only for this'.

The suits who run these companies are greedy money hungry capitalists. It won't stop with little things, and it amazes me people think it will.

Surely that number for Marathon is way off? A huge first party AAA game, and it sells that badly? I don't really believe it tbh. I knew it did bad when they didn't gloat about numbers on Twitter, but I didn't think that bad.

To the people who say AI is fine will you still say that when devs are shown the door for AI because trust me once AI is good enough to replace the whole dev team it will. These gaming companies are capitalist through and through and would throw the whole developer team in the rubbish tomorrow if AI was good enough.

And that's not even mentioning the real world problems like the amount of electricity and water data centres require. Heck I read a story the other day about how AI is growing and adding to itself at an alarming speed and eventually won't need human oversight.

I don't like how the PR blocked any follow-up questions though. What are they hiding?

Let's hope they aren't as lazy as the Oblivion remaster devs.

And when some of these games inevitably fail to sell developers will be wondering why.

Imagine how cooked Ubisoft would be without Assassins Creed. Every other game they release sells poorly. Heck Watch Dogs is dead now and others will follow.

Wait until next gen launches at over 1000 dollars for each console. Then when the casuals don't buy them you will see even more studio closures.

Bungie are lucky Sony are really nice. A more ruthless owner might have closed them by now.

I wish we could at least have a port of the trilogy for modern consoles.

When I read the headline I thought you meant the next Mass Effect was called Exodus and was coming next year. Then I was wondering how I missed that lol. Now I know I will definitely keep an eye open for this game.

I will say I have seen people say Microsoft want to destroy the competition when they bought Activision but of course they did. They are a western capitalist company just like Sony who would also love to eliminate any competitor. Microslop just got caught saying it out loud.

So they do have a little spine. I really want to see Sony and Microsoft get ruthless against each other. Really try and destroy the enemy.

If it wasn't for Sony most of these series would be dead, so a little gratitude should be shown to them by these companies.

They could have also ported the enhanced version of blood money they released on switch a while ago.

The only thing from the show I cared about and boy did it deliver. I'm a huge RE fan and can't wait for this.

I think this will easily beat the sales figures of any Sony game of the past five years at least. It's linear, and I'd have it done in two nights so I'll wait until it's cheap lol.

One console is always holding another back. Imagine if developers only had to make games for the pro and not the base model. Although I have the base model, so I'm glad they still make them for that lol.

It's one thing after another with these guys. This was most likely Sony's fault but still to imagine this studio cost them 3.6 billion dollars.

And I won't shed a tear for any of these console manufacturers. They nickel and dime so much as it is. Next generation will be interesting that's for sure. If they don't sell as many consoles I expect more studios to shut.

Nothing for me really. I want rpgs like Mass Effect, Dragon age and The Elder Scrolls. Well those and the next Resident Evil game whatever it is.

As if this game would help sell any consoles lol. If Sony did pay for it then just like Bungie it's a waste of money.

And here I am wishing games were even more violent and for main characters to be even more brutal to the enemies.

I think the PSN store should also have that bit about 'made using AI'.

Well I only played TF2 for the awesome campaign so unfortunately this won't fill in that hole for me. Probably the best FPS campaign I have ever played BTW.

Didn't need some report to tell us all this. Increase prices and sure you might make more money per units sold or you could end up selling less. Sony charge more for less these days.
