CD Projekt Red Hadar

It's been quite some time since we heard anything specific about 'Hadar' — one of CD Projekt Red's future releases.

It was announced back in 2022, when the company made its post-Cyberpunk 2077 production plans public. Back then, the project was described as being in the "earliest stages of development".

But of course, the developer's current priority is The Witcher 4, and once that's sorted, it'll divert a lot of resources to Cyberpunk 2077's sequel, which is being officially referred to as Cyberpunk 2 right now.

Hadar, then, has always been one for the (potentially far) future, but things are starting to click into gear behind the scenes.

Indeed, CDPR has posted a number of job listings for Hadar, and some of them provide just a little more insight into what it's all about.

Descriptions of the project tell us that it's an "immersive" open world title, with an emphasis on an "emotional experience that will stay with gamers".

This kind of summary doesn't come as much of a shock given the studio's catalogue, but the use of "emotional" perhaps suggests a deeper focus on the narrative side of things.

For reference, CDPR has said that 24 people are currently working on Hadar, but you're going to see that number gradually tick up as The Witcher 4 heads toward release, and the company's balance shifts.

Fortunately for me and you, CDPR provides production reports on a regular basis to keep its investors... well, invested. So if there's any significant movement on Hadar, the company won't try to hide it.

What the heck do you think Hadar could be? Throw out some wild theories in the comments section below.
