@Korgon If you still have your PS3, you can still play FP. I played it a month or so ago. The online multiplayer seemed to be still working, unless I was mistaking players for bots. Same went for Battlefield 1943.
I gave the PS5 version a little go over the past couple of days having uninstalled soon after the games initial launch. It is a fair bit better than before. The amount of players is certainly diminished. It's not great but not completely terrible now. I also tried the PS4 version on an OG PS4 and that felt completely broken and probably abandoned.
It wold be funny if Sony signs up to the service with Microsoft. Only for Microsoft to tease a new Call of Duty each year and to only deliver Call of Duty occasionally when it feels like it. Letting Sony feel what it's like to be a PS+ Premium subscriber.
@Totheteeth I wouldn't expect someone like you to know but I'll simplify it for you... under contract law, a legally binding promise by one party (Sony) to fulfil an obligation (provide PS2 games and/with classics catalogue) to another party in return for consideration and payment (by the subscribers of PS Premium).
A promise was made by Sony to offer PS2 games (as advertised) for a price that they deemed fair (£2 extra a month, on top of the 'extra' fee, as you point out) and that PS Premium Subscribers considered also fair for services offered. Unfortunately, many subscribers feel Sony is not performing in their obligation. Shrewdly, Sony were intentionally vague about what was included in the service.
A practice, I am fairly positive, Sony wouldn't like to happen to themselves. (i.e. vague contracts made by Microsoft with Sony about how long Call of Duty will be on PlayStation.)
Every month, we get a story like this and Premium members have so far been let down! Why would this month be any different? Let's be honest, Sony will probably dig up another PS3 Assassins Creed game or Syphon Filter instead or even, NOTHING AT ALL! Much easier, much cheaper.
The irony is that Sony leaving a bad taste in the mouths of their fanbase is that the fanbase will look else where. Either via Microsoft or piracy. As the article states, it does feel like a scam. Personally, I find scams difficult to forget, especially when it comes from a well known brand. I won't forget and will look for alternatives rather than giving more money to Sony. I suspect many others will feel the same way. Sony has shot themselves in the foot and this style of business mismanagement and disorganisation doesn't bode well for PlayStation in the long term. The problems need to be resolved as it smells of a money grab before the last hurrah. I think this may be the last (or maybe penultimate) run for the PlayStation brand and it will be interesting to see where the brand stands at the end of this generation.
Can someone send Sony a memo that states 'variety is the spice of life'. Needless to say with these rumours I now fully expect no update this month to the PS Premium classics catalogue
They do say 'a fool and his money are easily parted'. That price is going to come down pretty fast and if it doesn't, PSVR2 will fail and then the price will drop anyway and end up on the rather large pile of other hardware Sony has abandoned. I do wonder if these companies live in the real world. This isn't an instrument/tool for carrying out medical procedures. It's peripheral that doesn't work stand alone or with other hardware but above all, it's a gimmick.
Just want to check... are there any Assassin's Creed games that are not on the service? So next month I know we won't have another added. Unless of course they take them off the service the week before so they can have something to put on the list for next months line up.
I wish they would put more Yakuza games on the service... Oh and Assassin's creed... Forget about the 3,061 PlayStation 1 games and over 4,000 PlayStation 2 titles.
@GoodGame You 'might' be correct. One of the annoying things about people wanting to Jailbreak their consoles is everyone else gets more stability firmware updates.
@riceNpea I had this problem when I first got my PS5 on launch day. I fixed it by using a better quality Ethernet cable. Not had the problem since. Also worth setting up static IP addresses for all your networked equipment. You may have tried all this and just have a faulty network socket. Who knows? I just thought I would chip in and help if I could.
Sony have such a vast pool of PS1 and PS2 games I really can't get my head round what the hold up is. A lot of classic games were already on the PS3 store. Where are they? I was a PS Now subscriber before the PS+ update and it seems they took away a number of classic games such as Daytona USA, Crazy Taxi, Sonic games and Golden Axe to name a few. Where are all the Sony published classics?
Luckily, we live in a capitalist society so everyone can vote with their wallets. Unless you're a share holder or on the board, Naughty Dog can do what they like. People can call it what they like (Cash grab, waste of time, blah blah blah). You might as well be screaming into a void by moaning and posting whiny comments on the internet about it.
@Resi32 The PS3 original came out in 2013. The PS4 remaster came out in 2014. The last of Us 2 came out in 2020.
Although I probably won't buy it at full price I will probably wait until it comes down in price. I have a sneaking suspicion that PS Premium members may get a discount or even luckier it be made free. Who knows at this point and we will have to wait and see. I am more looking forward to the multiplayer, 'Factions 2'.

Re: PS Plus Premium's Promised PC Streaming Still Missing in Parts of Europe
Frankly, It's an embarrassment. Reminds me a bit of the PS3 cross game chat debacle. The fan base is screaming and Sony pretends it's not happening.

Re: Stroke the Dog and Now Cat 2,000 Times for 71 PS5, PS4 Trophies
Sony should just sell platinum trophies. Maybe £5 each? What's the point in trophies now, with games (I use the word 'game' loosely) like this.

I find the lack of classics disappointing. Premium tier just doesn't seem worth it at all.
