When you see AstroBot on PS5, everything else seems rather rubbish by comparison, regardless of platform. It destroys anything Nintendo or Sega have ever made.
@JJ2 it's spin. Microsoft are promoting they have worked with AMD so gamers assumed it's the same part as what's going on the PS5. It's not. Just like car engines, the same part can be tuned differently and have optional features that make it perform wildly different. Trust me, whilst on paper the PS5 CPU/GPU and Xbox CPU/GPU SKUs may seem similar, the PS5 cpu is seriously mor compressive, with higher clock, more lanes, and some on silicon tricks the Microsoft SKU doesnt (and cannot, due to Sony/AMD partner licencing) have.
@thefirst indeed history days otherwise. Microsoft are the kings of scumbag marketing.
Back on the PS3 era, all the talk of Sony being arrogant after PS2 was deliberately engineered by Microsoft shill AstroTurf army of paid shills, fooling gullible teenage gamers that Sony were too big for their boots and you should buy the inferior and more expensive Xbox with the poor game line up just to show Sony a lesson...
@Rhaoulos no it means they have integrated a new AMD driver in the firmware thar offers better performance and is qualified against existing titles in the field and new titles in testing.
I know it's fashionable to joke about this, but the did deliver better performance and more stability, and it why we don't realise their importance, as they do a great job.
@carlos82 Heard the CPU also has exclusive tricks in the PS5 that are only available in the PS5 CPU, as Sony and AMD jointly worked on them. Microsoft are using the slower, less capable off the shelf part.

The only really annoying thing is whenever PSN has an outage, it's being reported minutes after it started, along with its back up again follow up stories.
Xbox live outages lasting several hours barely get mentioned.
Perhaps it's down to nobody actually caring about Xbox live outages????
Sever infrastructure. You have to build slowly and charge high initially.
You can't spend a billion on server infrastructure and then hope gamers buy it, nor can you charge peanuts and have more users than your infrastructure can support.
Watch sony ramp the service over the next few years. They have the content gamers want, Google or Microsoft don't. It's as simple as that.
So it's not really a PlayStation competitor at all, it's a PSNow competitor without the games... It's therefore doomed to fail harder than even Microsoft could manage.
The best it might achieve is to kick Sony into changing the billing model of PSNow to played hours, which would kick widespread adoption of it, but I really don't think they have the server infrastructure for that, which is why it is what it currently is .m
Don't care about cross platform play at all. Who even games on something that's not a PS4?
Microsoft have basically given up on Xbox and are all about azure, Xbox is going g the same was as zune, Lumia, surface, and pretty much every other hardware product they made (except mice). They won't tell you this until it's ready to.

Re: Unsurprisingly, Final Fantasy 7 Remake's Future May Not Be PS5 Exclusive
Switch 2 is about the same power as a PS4, so a cut down version is clearly possible.
Xbox is dead, the industry knows it, it doesn't even mention it anymore.
The PS5 is the version to play.
Re: Forza Horizon 5 (PS5) - Xbox Had the Best Open World Racer All This Time
It's not Gran Turismo 7, which still engages millions of players even now with it's constant weekly event updates

Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Won't Take Away from Sony to Achieve Success
@JJ2 it's common knowledge in the industry that Xbox has never made Microsoft a single some, when you add in R&D costs and RROD lawsuits.
Every time a new Xbox is announced its a miracle senior Microsoft honchos let it happen, as it's a huge moneypit for them.
I predict no Xbow Two (or whatever it's called), and Microsoft just give up and focus on their profitable areas, Azure (and that's it...)

Please stop with this spew of pointless PS5 speculation nonsense. It makes me want to go elsewhere for my gaming news.

First world problems when your platform has TOO MUCH QUALITY CONTENT.
PlayStation "fans" need to get a grip.

Re: Talking Point: PS Now's Delivering Our Streaming Future, So Why Is Sony the Underdog?
@Rudy_Manchego cloud isnt what's needed here, rendering farms are what's needed. Google and Microsoft dont have those, Sony has been ramping theirs.
