Re: Some PS5 Owners Might Be Paying More Than Others on PS Store

77dreams

Still generally legal in the U.S., but some states are starting to require explicit disclosures around this kind of pricing, which is better described as "surveillance pricing" since it's based on personal data. New York already has a law on this and other states are considering similar legislation. The FTC also did a market survey around surveillance pricing in January... though the current administration seems less interested.

Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Release Crashes Storefronts Like Steam, Finally Live on PS5, PS4 Over Two Hours Late

77dreams

@Jackthelad93 Not going to engage with the obvious trolls pretending this is just hype, but I'll respond to your question "what is it about it" that generates this level of interest.

This game has developed an intensely loyal fanbase for good reason. It takes a 2D metroidvania framework and lifts a few key ideas from Soulslikes, but its real strength is just how meticulously designed the game is, and that's in terms of actual gameplay, lore, visual aesthetic, all of it. The developers then built on the initial game by adding several rounds of DLC that expanded on the game and gave diehard fans so much more content to play around with. Some of the lategame content is absolutely ridiculous - stuff like the hidden Path of Pain platforming challenge or the ridiculous boss rush pantheons cater to the most hardcore players, which has led to a huge community of streamers and speedrunners and everything else who continue to find new ways to beat insanely difficult challenges and just continue to have fun with this impossibly rich world. I've beaten the game on most endings but have yet to finish the hardest content simply because I'm not good enough, but I still fell in love with the world and gameplay. I've probably got about 160 hours in total, and that's nowhere near as much as the real diehards. Some folks bounce off of it because it is legitimately hard, and the opening few hours are a bit slow compared to where it goes, but the short answer to your question: many folks consider this the best metroidvania of all time.

Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Is Finally Out on 4th September

77dreams

Really looking forward to this, and it's frankly a bit overwhelming to think it's an even bigger game than the first one. I have way over 100 hours in the original and still haven't finished all the end game content.

Obviously the first one isn't for everyone - it's legitimately one of the hardest games I've played, with a much higher difficulty ceiling than any of the Fromsoft games - but it's also an example of what you can achieve with an obsessively fine tuned game. Art design, level design, music, insanely tight controls, insanely tuned combat, interlocking systems, minimal grinding, the incredible sense of discovery as you explore the map, and a fantastic story to boot. And then all the late-game / DLC extras push it so much further (the Colosseum, the Hall of Gods, all the pantheons, dream variants of bosses, the flower quest, Path of Pain, all of it). I eventually hit a wall in the late game content where I just wasn't good enough to beat some of the harder bosses or get through all the platforming challenges, but it's amazing how much they stuffed into this game to cater to the diehard fans. I don't know if it's my single favorite game, but it is easily one of the best and most thoughtfully designed games of all time.

Re: Sony Says PS5 Is the Best Place to Watch in TV Centric Ad

77dreams

I do enjoy streaming through my PS5 and prefer the interface to Roku, but I desperately wish smaller services like Criterion Channel would come over to PS5. It's probably on the services rather than any specific obstacles from Sony, but if Sony really wants to make this multimedia push, they should invest more in luring those kinds of providers to the platform or giving them stronger financial incentives for joining up.

Re: Discount Codes Are Being Sent Out to PS Plus Members

77dreams

It'd be nice if Sony fixed the insane PS account login issues before they try to entice paying subscribers to spend more money. (The PS iOS app logged me out after the last update and has given error messages every time I try to log in for a week and counting; account is active and still works fine on the PS5 or in a browser, but Sony can't seem to manage basics like account authorization across platforms.)

Re: Elden Ring Nightreign Single Player Focused PS5, PS4 Patch Out Now

77dreams

frankly a bit weird that so many are complaining about a patch to make the game more accessible in different contexts, and it's not like they're completely violating the FROM code by adding difficulty sliders. the game was always described as a multiplayer co-op experience that would be fully playable solo, so it makes sense that they tune it as they go. (which they do with every FROM game for months after release.) as a primarily solo player, i'm still not sold on getting this just because I don't like the naturally panicked gameplay loop you get with any strictly timed roguelite runs, but that's a me problem.

@thefourfoldroot1

There appears to be some variation depending on region or maybe some other factor, because that hasn't worked for me for the past 2 or 3 years. Before that, I got the Black Friday deal every year without issue. Lots of folks have been reporting the same issue, but it's clearly not consistent for everyone. (I'm in the US and have been subscribed for about 8 years.)

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Season 2 Episode 5 - A Chilling Callback to the Games

77dreams

Still entertaining, but I feel like the show suffers most when it shifts from slow dialogue sequences to speedrunning through key chunks of the game. I get it; they're different types of media, and you can't make the show devote 10 hours to stealthily navigating streets, buildings, and hospital floors. But the pacing inevitably feels off when they do this, and this was what completely ruined the winter sequence in S1, which was literally the best part of the game. I think my biggest issue with the show is that the best deviations from the game tend to involve expanding on the story, literally making it bigger and longer than it was originally; but this always comes at the cost of rushing something important down the line. The good bits often feel great in the moment, but then the show has to contort itself to hit the key plot points, and the pacing and emotional beats feel off as a result. Still an incredible creation, and the production design in particular is unbelievable for TV, but I couldn't help but be disappointed with the rushing.

Re: Days Gone's Review Scores Have Been Rising Over Time, with PS5 Version Coming Highly Recommended

77dreams

It's not perfect, but it was tuned so perfectly in ways that make it extremely satisfying to play. On your first playthrough, combat is legitimately hard until much later on. Hordes are such an insane and dynamic gameplay element, and the randomness to these encounters keeps you on edge at all times. And the bike itself was such a well designed element. Riding is rough early on until you get some key upgrades, but it steadily improves in satisfying ways. The result is you have just enough survival elements to make the game feel immersive and vibrant, and the world is so well constructed, it actually feels great just to tool around and explore. NG+ is fun because you can annihilate hordes from the get-go, but nothing beats the slow but constant sense of progression during the first playthrough.

Ghost of Tsushima was more polished in some ways (truly beautiful game overall), but it doesn't hold a candle to the combat or core gameplay loop of Days Gone (or even the storytelling). Horizon Zero Dawn got so much love at the time, and it did have some fascinating aspects, but the game got in its own way constantly; weird info-dump storytelling, horrendously dull side missions, endless inventory management... all things Days Gone did much better. I get why there was resistance to Days Gone at the time given the familiarity of the setting and the fact that open worlds were getting played out, but it was really the pinnacle of the form if you went in with an open mind.

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Season 2 Episode 2 - More Birdie Than Hole in One

77dreams

Overall very well done, and the addition of the battle just made for incredible entertainment. You can pick apart logical inconsistencies, but it is what it is; we're watching a post-apocalyptic zombie drama about killer fungus and tortured survivors. So be it.

Pretty much agree with this review as well. Abby's monologue felt silly and overly expository, and I think they should have kept her motivation secret until at least later in the season. I assume there will be plenty of flashbacks featuring Pedro throughout this season anyway, so they could have easily found a way to reveal it towards the end of this season. But this is mostly nitpicking of the variety we can't fully avoid because another version of the story already exists. In many ways the show seems to be solving for some of the issues in the game, and of course they can't help but introduce some new bits to quibble with. But I think they're succeeding in making a very entertaining show overall, and it's been adapted well to fit the format. I struggled hardest with the later episodes of S1, where they really started rushing (and frankly butchered the winter sequence and didn't fully stick the landing in the hospital). S2 has been much stronger than that for sure.

Re: 'You'll See the Difference,' Says Bend Studio of Days Gone PS5's Improvements

77dreams

Probably my second favorite PS4 game overall, just behind Bloodborne.

Folks tapping out in the first 10 hours, I get it - the opening is pretty slow burn, and I didn't really connect with the writing at first. I won't pretend it's a perfect game, but the overall experience gets better and better as you go, especially once the scope of the game starts to expand. By the end, this was firmly cemented as one of my favorite games of all time.

I've done two playthroughs already - once on PS4, then a NG+ run on PS5 - and would absolutely do a third if the remaster were priced reasonably for folks with a PS Plus copy. As it stands, I'll wait for a deal and pick this up when it hits $20 or 25.

Re: The Last of Us Is Only Getting More and More Popular

77dreams

S2 premiere was pretty slow burn, but I really liked how they laid the groundwork for everything to come, tweaked enough to keep things interesting, and managed to capture the tension of the game's stealth sections. Casting choices seem very strong for this season as well. Perhaps not the explosive kickoff folks might want, but when this show comes together, it's just a masterclass in visual storytelling.

I thought the first season was solid for the first 5 episodes or so, with some brilliant episodes scattered throughout. Once they started rushing at the end, they butchered some of the key sequences like the winter stretch - here's hoping they learned their lesson. Season 2 is off to a great start at least.

Re: Horde Assault Show Off Days Gone PS5 Remaster at Its Very Best

77dreams

Hordes have to be one of my favorite game elements ever. The terror of encountering them in the wild when you're underpowered... being forced to face them mid-game when they're still a seemingly impossible challenge... then getting strong enough to wipe them out in the end game, such a sick thrill. They really tuned the combat in this game perfectly.

Re: Sony Stealthily Increases the Size of PS5, PS4's Needlessly Restrictive PS Store Wishlist

77dreams

sole function of the wishlist for me is to see what goes on sale, which means you often have to add multiple versions of the same game if you want to actually know what's on sale at any given time (regular, deluxe, standalone DLC, etc.), which makes it really easy to fill up the list. I prune mine fairly often to avoid that happening anyway, but this is a smart update.

frankly, the biggest issue with the wishlist is that it's impossible to remove games from the list once you buy them. I have probably 15 wasted slots in the wishlist because i forgot to preemptively remove something before I purchased it, after which the option to remove it disappears. in the wishlist it just says "not available" (because I already own it, thus it's not available to purchase again); and when i visit the product page, there's no option to remove it from the wishlist (only an option to download the game, which I've usually already downloaded). Just really sloppy UX design. Hopefully that's been fixed as well, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Re: Days Gone PS5 Will Tempt You Back to the Broken Road with All-New Trophies

77dreams

Still bummed about full price upgrades for PS Plus owners. Its clear Sony doesn't understand its user base very well, or what motivates us to spend money, when they make these decisions. I played the PS Plus version (which we still paid for by paying for the service), absolutely loved it, even went back for a NG+ playthrough last year, and I would consider playing it again especially with upgraded graphics and new features. If they want my $10, they can have it. But the idea of shelling out $50 for a game I already "paid for", one that I've now owned for years, and have already played through multiple times is just silly.

Re: Bad Handling of Demon's Souls PS3 Meant Sony Missed Out on Dark Souls Publishing

77dreams

I remember buying Demon's Souls on PS3 when it was brand new, before we had any consistent online guides besides a handful of semi-enthusiastic reviews...

It sounded brutal as hell and uniquely grim, which it was, but i completely bounced off it. Just like the Sony exec, I spent a few hours struggling through the opening zone and got nowhere. People forget how much more straightforward the PS5 remake was compared to the PS3 version. None of the game mechanics were clearly explained, and things like character and world tendency were only vaguely referenced in the game manual. It also wasn't clear how invasions worked. The game seemed to constantly push you to stay in human form... which led to continuous invasions, continuous deaths, loss of resources, increasingly difficult enemies due to the world tendency shifting darker every time you died in human form (again, this was not explained). Just extremely oppressive and unfriendly to play back then.

Years later I played through Bloodborne and Elden Ring, and eventually circled back to the PS5 Demon's Souls remake, at which point it finally clicked. Still hard as nails, but if you go in armed with a guide and a basic understanding of Souls games, it's certainly doable. But you really can't blame anyone for bouncing off the original - it was designed to be impenetrable.

Re: Despite Strong Criticism, Days Gone PS5 Is Climbing Up the PS Store Pre-Order Charts

77dreams

I think a lot of folks bounced off the original release because the beginning of the game is very much a slow burn warmup. But this game gets so much right that it's become one of my all time favorite PS4 games, right behind Bloodborne. The light survival elements are tuned perfectly - especially when it comes to caring for your bike - and the way it interacts with exploration and the open world design is so well done. It's legitimately scary to venture out into the world early on - you might get attacked at any time, or even stumble across a horde that will shred you in a heartbeat in the early game - and if your bike gets damaged or you run out of gas, you might have to trek a long ways back to get everything up and running. What could be frustrating just adds a real edge to the gameplay, and it legitimately keeps you on your toes. I just did a NG+ replay earlier this year and realized that the game itself is still very good when played that way, but so much of what makes the first playthrough feel incredible is just how finely tuned the early combat and exploration is.

The story is also surprisingly good... once it gets going. I really wasn't into it for the first 5-10 hours, but as the game starts to open up, the story got much more compelling. There are still plenty of moments to nitpick - some of the huge story changes happen a bit too quickly, but the game is massive and so much of it is done very well that it wins me over in the end anyway.

Finally: the hordes are unreal. Probably the single best video game mechanic I can think of. For the first 3/4 of the game, they're more of an environmental hazard than anything, since you have almost no hope of taking them on until you're sufficiently upgraded. Stumbling across a horde when least expected feels incredible - suddenly you're being swarmed, frantically trying to get to your bike, trying your best to jet off to safety. If you're less lucky, you might get stranded in a dumpster for 15 minutes while a horde of 100 freakers swarms about. It's incredibly visceral. And then as you get stronger, you start to tempt fate and try to take on a smaller horde... when you finally take one down, it feels like a legitimate accomplishment. Later on, you'll be taking on hundreds at a time, and there's nothing like that feeling.

Suffice to say, I can't wait for the upgrade. Here's hoping this generates enough interest to greenlight a sequel...

Re: Days Gone Remastered Is Real, Out for PS5 This April

77dreams

Curious about the new horde mode. Saw another site describing it as (maybe) similar to TLOU 2's No Return mode.

Even MORE curious if those of us who have a PS4 copy as a PS Plus freebie can still do the $10 upgrade... I'll bite at that price, but I'm not gonna shell out full price otherwise.

Re: Poll: Do You Use PS Stars?

77dreams

The digital NFT-style rewards are silly, but I'll spend points on store credit whenever i have enough built up. There doesn't seem to be any incentive to save longer ($10 credit costs the same as buying $5 x2), so I just cash in whatever I have whenever I'm buying through the PS Store.

Re: PS Plus Black Friday Discounts Again Seem Completely Random

77dreams

Mine is set to expire on the 26th and I'm not seeing the discount. I'm in the US and the renewal price for the current tier (Extra) is the usual $135. In every past year I've been able to renew at a discount, but I'm not seeing an option this time.

For those of you seeing the discount, where are you looking? I've only checked the PS iOS app thus far, which is where I usually buy games. Have not tried through the PS5 version of the PS Store yet.

Re: Ghost of Yotei's Gorgeous Open World Will Be Less Repetitive Than Tsushima's

77dreams

That's good to hear. Probably the most beautiful open world (even if I'm partial to the gloomy grandeur of Elden Ring or the surprising realism in Days Gone), but some of the open world tasks got pretty tedious. One I hope they keep and expand upon is the poetry / haiku composition. More options, more interactivity, more opportunities to tune out the noise and focus on the beauty of the world... it was one of my favorite aspects of the original and just a fascinating way to slow down the pace in a good way.

Re: Rumour: Days Gone PS5 Remaster Speculation Starts to Spread

77dreams

Doubt it really needs a remaster, but it's up there among the best PS4 games in my book. Bloodborne takes the cake, then Days Gone easily in second. The bike mechanic was so grounding and well executed, and it feels genuinely freeing as you gradually get more and more range and distance from the survival aspects. And hordes are one of the best gaming dynamics ever. I could fight hordes endlessly. The optional sawmill horde remains one of my favorite sequences in all of gaming.

Re: Broken, Battered Elden Ring Players Review Bomb Shadow of the Erdtree for Being Too Hard

77dreams

I think Elden Ring more than most Fromsoft games suffered a bit from balance issues, in part due to the open world nature and the sheer wealth of combat options and available buffs. It was pretty easy to get overpowered before visiting an area or to create an overpowered build that trivializes most encounters, so the devs really cranked the difficulty for some of the later bosses. Brilliant game overall, but I found that aspect a bit annoying at the time--large swaths of the game felt too easy, then you'd hit a wall because when a lategame boss has an absurd health pool and can oneshot your perhaps unoptimized build. But you learn from your mistakes and persevere; thus is the Fromsoft way.

I'm only 5 hours into the DLC and I think the same balance issues persist, but this area is clearly meant to be endgame level difficulty, and it's only "hard" until you pick up some of the DLC-specific upgrade resources.

I'm a pretty average player overall, and I still cleared Blackgaol Knight in 3 tries. He hits hard, but the moveset is easy to learn and once you realize how easy he is to parry or stagger, it's not particularly difficult. Yet people are absolutely raging that they can't beat an optional boss--I found many of the base game optional fights much harder than this, personally.

I suspect there are a few things happening to cause such a backlash: people are either way underleveled and just rushed to see the DLC; perhaps they're trying this on a late NG+ cycle, which is just absurd to try for any first run through Fromsoft DLC; or they're simply rusty at the game and forgot how Fromsoft games work. Fromsoft deliberately put one of the hardest nonboss enemies right next to the first site of grace, and then the first field bosses you encounter are of course way too hard the first time you encounter them. These are classic Fromsoft tactics. It's fine if you don't enjoy it, but this isn't particularly different than the base game.

Re: Days Gone Dev Bend Studio Staffing Up for 'AAA Live Service' Game

77dreams

It wasn't flawless, but Days Gone might have been my favorite overall PS4 game - just such an incredible gameplay loop I haven't found anywhere else. The sick thrill of randomly encountering a horde in the wild, never quite feeling safe when you venture out on the bike but gradually getting stronger, then eventually getting to the point where you can take on a full horde by yourself. Incredible stuff, one of the few PS4 games I still think of all the time. I even thought the story and characters surprisingly were surprisingly well done. Worth playing if you haven't tried it yet - just give it a few hours to warm up. It starts off slow (with a steep difficulty curve), but the game really opens up shortly after.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered?

77dreams

Overall, I think it's fantastic as a game, but they made a few choices that significantly exacerbated the narrative "issues" that many have with it. I have my own minor quibbles with the writing, though I think it's largely coherent, feels decently realistic (for a post apocalyptic zombie game, i mean, let's be real here), and the major arcs make sense narratively. That said, I think we can all understand why some people don't like it - the narrative choices were designed to push the limit of what an audience is willing to accept, and, well, that's pretty much how it played out.

My actual complaints come down to (1) the lack of player choice (when so much of the narrative is designed to make you feel bad about violence and pursuing revenge at any cost, this would be a lot more effective if you could make different choices at key points) and (2) the fact that the game is simply too long, which exacerbates the narrative issues and lack of player autonomy by forcing you to slog through so much misery. I think I enjoyed the game more than the Kotaku reviewer did, but I agreed with them that the narrative was ultimately pretty heavy-handed in that regard. But let's not forget that TLOU1 was every bit as heavy handed and emotionally manipulative, so those were pretty much table stakes coming in. I just think TLOU1 overcame those issues because the game was the exact right length, and the character's central bond made the experience easier to relate to.

As for the remaster: excellent stuff all around, absolutely worth $10, and No Return is addictive as hell. I can't compete at the harder difficulties so I know I'll eventually get sick of it, but it's a blast to pop off a quick run (or 5).

Re: Days Gone Director Blames Woke Reviewers, Programmers for Critical Reception

77dreams

I get why it's not beloved, but Days Gone is up there as one of my favorite games of all time, definitely my favorite open world. The story was better than it had any right to be, even if it wasn't perfect, and the cast was fantastic. The narrow focus of the open world, but the breadth contained within it, made it feel really special - intimate in a way but somehow wild and untamed - pretty much exactly what the game needed. The survival aspects were tuned so perfectly to the point where they added to the experience, and things like refueling the bike becomes a comforting ritual. The fact that the game is legitimately difficult early on, and every ride can spell absolute disaster if you're not careful, means you play with the kind of trepidation I've rarely experienced outside of a Fromsoft game. And the hordes! Probably my single favorite gaming mechanic ever. It's so easy to get swarmed by zombies and completely annihilated, but the feeling when you just scrape out a victory after throwing firebombs, setting up traps, mowing them down with a machine gun, and sprinting for your life made it the most rewarding gaming experience I can think of. I genuinely loved Days Gone, and I went in with pretty low expectations. That said, completely agree this guy needs to ditch twitter and chill out.

Re: The Last of Us: Part I (PS5) - A Better, More Beautiful Remake of a Modern Classic

77dreams

@Ooccoo_Jr

I can't say whether the new one is worth it or not, but I played the PS4 remaster last year and found the first third of the game awfully clunky due to the rough controls. I found it very stiff, and just not a modern style of third person control; it's not quite tank controls, but close. After a while it clicks, and I eventually fell in love with the game anyway, but I think a remake would probably really improve on that aspect. Also, the graphics in the remaster were OK, but you never forgot you were playing a slightly higher-res PS3 game. It looks like the visual redesign would be a huge improvement in that regard, too.

Re: Days Gone Movie Reportedly Being Produced, Outlander Actor Lined Up

77dreams

If you think about it, the real reason they're doing this probably has more to do with the success of the Uncharted movie adaptation than anything else. It made a pile of money, and they've got some movie-ready IP ready to go. If it's a success, it helps drive enthusiasm for the sequel. Synergy makes for an easy pitch. (Given the development process, however, I'd be surprised if this makes it to production anyway.)

Re: Days Gone Movie Reportedly Being Produced, Outlander Actor Lined Up

77dreams

I played DG on a whim when it popped up on PS Plus... absolutely loved it. Probably my favorite PS4 game in terms of sheer enjoyment. They nailed the light survival aspects, the feel of riding the bike, the sense of tangible danger when you're exploring and never know when you'll stumble onto a horde. Even the narrative was surprisingly well done, up there with the best open worlds of the PS4 generation.

Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for August 2022 Have Leaked

77dreams

best month in over a year. I already own THPS, but that's such a perfect choice for this, plus a massive, recent single-player game like Yakuza and even a well-regarded indie like Little Nightmares. more of this please.

reminds me of when they gave out Days Gone, Zombie Army 4, and Oddworld (launching directly to PS Plus) back in April '21.

Re: The Last of Us PS5 Remake Is Meticulously Built and Crafted, Not a Cash Grab

77dreams

I can see both sides of this one pretty easily, but considering the original is legitimately one of the best games of all time (IMHO), I'm all for keeping it playable on modern hardware. It's often hard to go back to a treasured favorite after playing newer games; suddenly the graphical issues (that weren't issues at all upon release) can jump out unfavorably, and older control schemes can be really offputting.

I think a lot of folks forget how clunky TLOU controlled even on the PS4 remaster - you get used to it after a while, but trying to get Joel to turn quickly requires holding a separate button. Not quite RE-style tank controls, but not that far off. TLOU2 improved on that drastically, and of course the visual upgrade was immense. Hopefully this is all just setting the stage to make for a beautiful PS5 TLOU trilogy when the third game is inevitably announced...

Re: Soapbox: I Tried So Hard to Like Elden Ring, But I Just Couldn’t Do It

77dreams

Honestly, I wish there were FEWER build options and items, as the amount of unnecessary stuff you encounter in a run is just endless. I tend to play slowly with a completionist mindset - I want to see everything, explore all the nooks and crannies, find all the cool loot - and there's just too much of it. I know this leads to endless replayability, and once you've done a completionist run there's certainly no reason to play that way again, but I find it makes the experience a bit bloated. That's just my take, and how I tend to enjoy games, though. I genuinely preferred the tighter focus of Bloodborne - far fewer weapons, but all of them were excellent and viable (and much more creative with the "trick" modes); less bloat; tighter narrative. Elden Ring has all the trappings of a brilliant game, but it doesn't quite come together as neatly in the overall experience. That said, some of the legacy dungeon designs are excellent, and I appreciate the creativity with SOME of the bosses. All the repeated bosses definitely become a slog, though, and I'm only 2/3 of the way through (around 125 hours in).

One thing to keep in mind is that this game seems to heavily favor magic builds. As someone who generally enjoys melee combat a lot more than spell juggling and FP management, I'm sure I'm limiting my enjoyment somewhat by running a pure Dex build. I get the sense this is a completely different game for folks with different builds. Such is life.

Re: PS Plus Extra, PS Plus Premium Now Live Across the USA

77dreams

I'm just clicking around in the app and this thing is a total mess. Some games are correctly labeled, most are wrong. Some are correctly labeled when you click through to the PS Store, others are still wrong. As I click back to the app, they seem to be updating some of these in real time as the tags are changing. Wild stuff

Re: PS Plus Extra, PS Plus Premium Now Live Across the USA

77dreams

oof, the new PS Plus app looks straightforward at first, but they completely screwed up the Premium & Extra tags for most of the games. (I'm on PS4 in the US.) games like Ghost of Tsushima and Detroit: Become Human are supposed to be available on the Extra tier but they're all listed as "Premium". It also gives you an option to upgrade to play the game, but the only option for Ghost and Detroit are to upgrade Premium. I was pretty hopeful for this launch, but it looks like another classic disaster in the making
