Square Enix certainly isn’t messing around at the moment. Hot on the heels of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX’s announcement, the Japanese publisher has conjured up 90 seconds of brand new Kingdom Hearts III gameplay. The footage shows off three sequences from the title, as protagonist Sora battles Heartless, rides a ghost ship, and takes on a giant rock titan in a train.
It’s already looking pretty polished. Despite warnings earlier in the year that the sequel may still be some way away, series director Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that all of the scenes from the video below are fully playable. Additionally, the developer added that Riku will be returning in the upcoming PlayStation 4 sequel.
There’s no date attached to the title just yet, but the company has said that there'll be a gap between it and Final Fantasy XV. What do you think of the trailer? Is your Keyblade tingling over all of the Kingdom Hearts goodness? Let us know in the comments section below.

It looks really good. It's very clean.
I like kingdom hearts but i feel this could also be achieved on the ps3 and xbox 360....
@Sanquine Just what I was thinking but in my case I never completed any Kingdom Hearts game.
@Epic I did. What they achieved on the ps2 was superb. Thats why im thinking this could be so much better, Enemies and particles are cool but the streets can have so much more detail.. It's just empty,,
@Epic @Sanquine Possibly, the image quality is very clean, though - it would probably look a bit rougher on current-gen consoles. Plus, it's still early.
my god now this right here is a reason to live
My something is tingling, but I can tell you it's not my Keyblade.
I love Kingdom Hearts, and the trailer was awesome, but until Sora starts firing off fireballs it doesn't look much different to the current HD Kingdom Hearts. I'm sure it will get far more polished by the time it comes out.....and the ship and train looked nice....I have faith in it turning out well.
For some strange reason I collected all Kingdome Hearts games recently here from shelves with old and used games and got all of them (8 if I recall correctly) super cheap. However I never got into them. KH1 had a super bad camera and the card system in the GBA game seemed a bit on the slow side. However I may try the new HD versions. I may get 1.5 one of these days and 2.5 later. If the keep PS3 games coming I may not get the PS4 this year.
@belmont Remember that the 1.5 is just an HD version of 1, so the camera issues still persist.
@get2sammyb Yes I read in the review here that the camera issues still persist however the mapping of the camera in the right analogue stick should help somehow. Anyway I will get it if I find it cheap or later when the price drops.
Something strange I have seen is that my copy of KH1 somehow seems to be a 50Hz only version. I may be mistaken on this though.
Wow. Thanks for sharing Sammy =) I'm trying to figure out why the train. My wife asked...does sora go to Disneyland? Haha. I feel like it's going to look much better the closer it gets to release.
Sanquine
You do know Kingdom of Hearts III is still in development & will not be out for sometime yet, the finished product will look 100X better.
Cannot wait for Kingdom of Hearts III plus II.5 HD Remix.
@banacheck Hopefully:D
This is looking good! The more new video the better!
This is all well and good, but Sony needs to keep us posted on FF15 like they said they would :/ 10 seconds of new footage in an old trailer help tide us over for a week though I guess. Here's hoping that if they're showing more KH3 stuff a FF update is near!
Very nice Donald, Goofy & Sora's character models look so much smoother even in comparison to HD 1.5 ReMix.
@Cloud7794 I agree, some FFXV news would be lovely!
