Just finished both Thief and Ground Zeroes. Didn't like either of them so playing The Amazing Spider man 2. Boy, this was not what I was expecting to be doing when I first got my shiny new PS4.
Yeah, unless you like indies and ports of 2013 games, there isn't anything worth playing. Even most of these indie games that people hype up are mediocre.

Honestly this is the first year of the PS4 release what did you guys expect? :/ I think you guys are expecting too much from the first year of a new system. I can't remember any system having a great first year.

I expected better than this. I never expect great for a first year, but I don't expect to be bored out of my mind either. But there were consoles that have had good first years. Dreamcast is one, PS2 is another and Xbox 360. Gamecube had a solid first year and Wii and PS3 a little better than average. Outside of inFamous: Second Son there really hasn't been much on PS4 I've enjoyed. It'd have helped if Killzone and Knack were good but it is what it is.
I actually enjoyed both killzone and knack much more than I thought I would. And I loved infamous. But I'll admit my ps3 has seen more of my time these past few months. I don't regret my purchase, though.
Currently back playing lego marvel. Other games distracted me. On level nine. Not going for 100 percent or anything but I'm collecting some characters and vehicles in the city.

Yeah I am back to Lego Marvel too. I am so close to getting everything just need 2 more Stan Lee's a few more gold bricks (which need the races to be done) and a few more characters. Not as hard as it sounds since I have a few more levels to complete on free play.

The PS2 and 360 had terrible first years, Mr. Rose-tinted glasses...at least you got 3 games worth playing, which is more than I've ever said for a console within its first year that didn't **** the bed after its first year (DC, Wii U).
Playing transistor wolfenstien and ground zeroes. All terrific games!! Oi reverand james, if the ps4 Hasn't meet your personal expectations , then sell it and stop bloody howling you miserable git..

In PS2's first year it had GTA 3, GT 3, Twisted Metal: Black, Devil May Cry, MGS 2 and Final Fantasy X. That's not wearing rose tinted glasses. PS2 had a far better first year.
Xbox 360 had Condemned Criminal Origins, Project Gotham Racing 3, Call of Duty 2, Dead Rising, Saints Row, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Rainbow Six Vegas, Oblivion and Gears of War. Hardly terrible.
Well, I'm in the middle of Wolfenstein The New Order, as well as Trials Fusion and Transistor.

I'm at a loss as to what I should play now on any of the three PlayStation consoles. I have so many games backlogged it's difficult to know which to pick. I will probably go to The Hobbit as I need to get the dust off the PS4. I have Watch Dogs but with Hatsune Miku: Project Dive 2nd due the end of the week I don't wanna start then stop a massive game.
"Oh smeg. What the smegging smegs he smegging done? He's smegging killed me."
I'm going to stop discussing stuff that doesn't belong in this thread and get back on track... Just got done with a marathon session of Watch Dogs as I have a couple days off here so really wanted to dig deeper into the story. Just got done with the first mission in Act III because again, been doing a lot of side stuff, but even some of the side stuff has a cool story. Really starting to enjoy the game and the main story more as it goes on. Just met T-Bone, interested to see where that part of the story goes, hopefully he's a cool character since the season pass content is focused on him.
