Topic: The Last Of Us 2 In Development.

It looks like The Last Of Us 2 is in development according to Nolan North, no sure how I feel about this but seeing as its a PS4 game I wonder if that will go open world?

Good old Nolan North. Not content with revealing that Naughty Dog threw out eight months of work on Uncharted 4 and disclosing that Visceral's Star Wars game is "Star Wars in the style of Uncharted", the celebrated voice actor dropped one more bomb during his recent Metrocon panel.

We almost missed this because it's tucked right at the end of the panel and over in a flash, but North also confirmed that The Last of Us 2 is in development.

I thought I would also add this seeing as its from Nolan North again, and it looks like the canned Star Wars game 1313 isn't dead after all.

Amy Hennig, the former creative director at Naughty Dog. Hennig was drafted into the Visceral team last year after a decade at the Uncharted studio.

"If you're a big fan of Amy Hennig and her styles of story: the big thing about her is that she's gone to EA and is going to reboot a brand new Star Wars franchise in the style of Uncharted," said North. "And I happen to know a lot about it. And it's gonna be awesome."

North didn't share too much beyond that, but he did add that Visceral's Star Wars game is "along the same lines" as Star Wars: 1313, the in-development LucasArts title that was canned when Disney shut the studio in 2013

Personally, I don't want another TLOU. As a stand alone story it really holds up and it's ending is fantastic (in a soul destroying way). If they did another, I'd maybe prefer it be with other characters rather than Joel and Ellie.

As for open world...don't think it would suit TLOU. If there is anyone who can pull a new game off, it's probably Naughty Dog.

Not surprising on how much money the first one brought in.

That's a shame. I'd rather Naughty Dog worked on something else. One less game to get I suppose.

I absolutely loved The Last of Us but would be disappointed if another one is made. I want to see more new IP's!!!!

Ugh, we've had 5 uncharted games, not everyone loved those and people are whining about a sequel to tlou, get a grip and let there be more.

The last of us was great, but like everybody else above I feel a sequel isn't necessary.

Personally, I would happily take more The Last of US.

I'd like more last of us,yes it was a great stand alone story but it also feels like this is the beginning of Joel and Ellie's journey.
I really like the characters so def up for more!

I would certainly like to see more. Maybe see the story from Tommy's perspective if not moving along the main narrative. Or, grown up Ellie making her way back to the firefly lab to finally end the epidemic.

I'd rather have a new IP from them. But I'm sure a sequel to TLOU will be good.

Would you guys/girls want a spin-off with similar gameplay as State of decay, but with the emotional impact of the main game.
it could be amazing if done right.

Personally I don't like 'State of Decay's' game play. I don't think he control scheme or visual approach are particularly great. I would prefer a 'Sequel' to focus on telling a new 'story' with new characters - maybe one or 2 could make a brief appearance but in that world - whether or not its the same places or even at the exact same point in time may not matter so much. The style of game play and of course the emotional story telling is what makes that game special.
