Re: Hogwarts Legacy Tops Japanese Charts as PS5 Domination Continues

@GreatAuk we are all hypocritical.

boycott Nintendo because saudi... but happily use their oil.

boycott China because of treatment to Uighurs (apologies spelling)... but happy to use their rare minerals/cheap labour.

boycott Hogwarts for trans rights.... but keep playing ABK (whoever) regardless of sexual harrasment etc.

where do we draw the line? thats without mentioning climate, BLM, MeToo and so on.

everyone has the right to boycott whatever they wish, can do so by saying that. Just as anyone else has the right to use/buy whatever.

Re: Horizon Call of the Mountain (PSVR2) - Pretty Platformer Reaches New Heights

@KaijuKaiser tbf the criticism makes sense. Sony studio, working on Sony tech averaging about 75% for their flagship release game is meh.

if a Sony game was hitting 75% score for a flat game, it would be widely criticised.

thats before even mentioning VR robo dino's that you barely battle? it does read as a pretty tech demo. even comments that say they are going to use it for that.

feels like a missed opportunity imo.

Re: PSVR2 Review: Is It Worth It?

@get2sammyb fully agree space for both.

but honestly is kayak VRor pistol whip getting the casual audience excited?

imagine if EA really put you 'in the game'. (example) more people would want it. for me software isnt there yet.

Re: PSVR2 Review: Is It Worth It?

nice read Sammy

as expected, great tech for the price.

software lacking for mass appeal. linear on rails games just doesnt hit for enough people. devs wont make huge AAA experiences when your max sales is 2mil. there are alot of concerns around it still, understandably too.

that said, there is potential and a place for VR.... i just think pieces are missing.

to those who bought it, enjoy!

Re: Microsoft Admits Xbox Game Pass Is Harming Software Sales After All

@K1LLEGAL i guess its more a question of long term viability.

GP is still cheap, its cheap conversion etc.

but what happens when MS close loopholes and prices rise? (netflix) what are people realisticly going to pay monthly? the longer you have it the lower the value it becomes as you played what you wanted. will people just sub now and then for certain games?>

Do devs keep taking the lower guaranteed income? or trust in their quality and likely earn more? Will they want higher fees to compensate lower sales?

currently in short term its great, will it always be who knows.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Hogwarts Legacy?

stvevan

@The_Moose dont forget they are probably replying to you using parts from China, that treat certain people far far worse than some ill informed comments, not to mention supporting a Football team involved with sectarian issues.

but heyho only certain things matter.

judging by the poll its sold well, will be highest selling Game of the year. and it will win 0 rewards at end of year.
