recently had Callisto and Dead space, kinda niche on PS anyway and i know some were put off by how much progress you can lose by dying.

@IOI only last week bobby was saying Sony hadnt spoke to Microsoft.

Sony doing all the advertising/showing how they are doing etc probably shows they feel like they will lose. rather than a flight.

people need to remember they are for accessability and inclusion for gamers with disabilities.

where do we draw the line? thats without mentioning climate, BLM, MeToo and so on.

everyone has the right to boycott whatever they wish, can do so by saying that. Just as anyone else has the right to use/buy whatever.

@Friendly you can dominate 1week/game/match. outselling the evergreen switch 2:1 is dominating. or xbox 20:1.

@KaijuKaiser tbf the criticism makes sense. Sony studio, working on Sony tech averaging about 75% for their flagship release game is meh.

if a Sony game was hitting 75% score for a flat game, it would be widely criticised.

thats before even mentioning VR robo dino's that you barely battle? it does read as a pretty tech demo. even comments that say they are going to use it for that.

feels like a missed opportunity imo.

hogwarts and probably VR showing the reasons for increased sales.... rather than lots to China

imagine if EA really put you 'in the game'. (example) more people would want it. for me software isnt there yet.

as expected, great tech for the price.

software lacking for mass appeal. linear on rails games just doesnt hit for enough people. devs wont make huge AAA experiences when your max sales is 2mil. there are alot of concerns around it still, understandably too.

that said, there is potential and a place for VR.... i just think pieces are missing.

@themightyant 100% spot on with VR, all valid and real issues. if there wasnt these concerns, then it would be selling out and big devs would be making games.

even devs still have concerns.

the game was accessible at launch... they then made it far more of a grind.

@NEStalgia its the price of extra that swings it for me. 56quid for a year? thats only what a coffee and cake a month?

all i want from it is a chance of a game i was 50/50 on and so far im getting my value... but i also dont buy games to add to a backlog like so many.

@KaijuKaiser its the fact they have some 1st party big hitters finally, that are potentially on par with PS titles, backing it up with solid GP titles, and ABK catalogue to come too.

a big year for Xbox.... but its having to compete with an instock ps5.

PS to give it credit still put out figures even when figures were low.

it would be much better if all numbers were available easier ie digital included. can live in hope.

@Americansamurai1 if MS could drop consoles they would do. to them its all on GP now, hence the need for studios with big back catalogues.

plus it gets overlooked but MS targetting studios whose games will keep you subbed for months.

but what happens when MS close loopholes and prices rise? (netflix) what are people realisticly going to pay monthly? the longer you have it the lower the value it becomes as you played what you wanted. will people just sub now and then for certain games?>

Do devs keep taking the lower guaranteed income? or trust in their quality and likely earn more? Will they want higher fees to compensate lower sales?

currently in short term its great, will it always be who knows.

@Titntin there is certainly a case for some going to China, ps5 seems to have been selling around 40k a week recently. so theres a big Increase but doubtful someone is buying 30k consoles... imagine the logistics etc.

probably few k to China, people buying for Potter/VR

why arent the Japanese getting the 'bundles' the west do?

seems unfair Sony want the west to pay more for entry... admittedly more non bundles are becoming available, but still.

@NEStalgia but the digital ps5 isnt less powerful like the XSS. so why spend the extra if not using the drive? As its no longer the case of getting whats available.
