Re: Sounds Like Saudi Arabia Will Own Almost All of EA After Buyout

@Chip-Douglas I cant say i agree with the fine, but employers fire people for racial slurs all the time, even those posted on social media. As they should!

The freedom of speech law isnt even about protecting racists, dont think that anyone would want that. Its just thst its too easy to file anything you dont like under “hatespeech” and silence it.

Id personally rather risk offfending someone than silencing someome for jsut expressiong their opinion.

Re: Sounds Like Saudi Arabia Will Own Almost All of EA After Buyout

@SeaDaVie Opening an investigation is opening an investigation, its not “having someone arrested”. Thats not semantics, thats facts.

What do you mean the trump administration threatens to sue people? You talking abkut BBC? That was over fabricating video to fit their agenda, not over speech.

Wealthy demanding reparations for speech? Where did you get that? Do you have an evodence of someone actually arrested for speech in the US? The law applies the same to everyone.

Re: Sounds Like Saudi Arabia Will Own Almost All of EA After Buyout

species

@SeaDaVie Yes you will not get arrested for calling anyone racial slurs. There are ofcourse exceptions like threats of violence, harrasment or stalking, inciting violence, stuff like that.
But no, not just for calling someone any race slur.

Brother even in the biased article you yourself selected it says launch investigation, not arrest.
If you want to critise trump, theres plenty to go around in the actual sphere of facts, no need to make stuff up.

And yes ofcourse i care more about the freedoms i personally care ablut and dont care as much about those thst i dont care about. By definition!

@SeaDaVie
> The law has dictated what one can and can’t say for hundreds of years.

Well yes and thats wrong, thats why your country is where it is.

> Secondly, the government has never once arrested anyone in Germany or the UK. Only the police and other authorities can do so.

I dont even know what to say to that, i refuse to belive youre so daft that you dont know that police isnt private and is operated by goverment.

Edit- the books are not banned lol, theyre just removed from public schools. The books are still available in stores and private schools and everywhere else.

Re: Sounds Like Saudi Arabia Will Own Almost All of EA After Buyout

species

@SeaDaVie Do you have some evidence to that other than nonsence?

Books about sexual violence being removed from schools doenst mean theyre banned. You can still get em anywhere else. They just removed them from taxpayer paid public schools.

> The consequences are getting arrested.

If you dont understand the dangers of goverment dictating what you can and cant say, we will probably never find a common ground here.

Re: Sounds Like Saudi Arabia Will Own Almost All of EA After Buyout

species

@LifeGirl Thank god i live in the US where it isnt a goverment deciding whats gross and offensive and what should and shouldnt exist.
Barring inciting violence you should be able to say anything you want and then face consequences(like getting punched in the balls).
England is using V for vendetta as an instruction manual.

Re: Valve's Steam Machine May Not Be As Affordable As a PS5

species

@UltimateOtaku91 Why would tech nerds buy a closes console? Playstation is still catered towards casual gamers, always will be.

Also why would current Pc players buy the steam machine? They already own a PC.

I personally think they gonna overprice it to hell and that will kill it. But more competition for playstation is always bettwr for thr consumer.

Re: Try Battlefield 6 for Free in One Week Trial, from 25th November

species

@Nepp67 The game isnt, im sure you know that, so im asuming you ment the battle pass?

It being free or paid is not what makes it predatory. Its an age old discussion, people who spend nothing or very little here and there arent the target of these practices.

Its people with addictive personalities who these devs target. The gaming community definetly got used to these things by now, but seeing you using this crap as a praise for this game is definetly a next level of delusion.

Re: 'Very Vague' Rumour Claims Sony May Scale Back PC Ports of PS5 Games

species

I always thought the so called “pc master race” is about the most toxic fanboy group i could event imagine.

After joining a playstation community i realize oh boy was i wrong.

Having the games multiplatform will ALWAYS be better for a customer, unless youre the type of person that gets life satisfaction from bein asured that the box they chose to buy is the best.

Absolutely pathetic :/

Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?

species

@StitchJones Yee im in a different debacle. I used to be a PC gamer all the way until very recently.

And while i love the PS5 pro and switch2 and consider myself primarily a console main i still miss some RTS games and grand strategy games like hearts of iron which are just better with mouse and keyboard.

Not sure id be interested in Steam Machine no matter how much it is, some cheap laptop would be better for my use.

Maybe Valve will make a Steam Machine Pro in the future capable of running a modded Cyberpunk xD

Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?

species

@StitchJones Yeee i mostly agree, i still think it will find its audience even when priced this way.

PS5, at least at launch, was sold at a loss and the revenue was made up by the games.
Since Steam Machine is sutch an open system Valve cant do that.

They said it wont be priced as a console, more like an entry level PC, my guess would be around a grand, but i could be wrong ofcourse.

Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?

species

It really boils down to price, and im afraid it will be north of a grand at least.

Otherwise it could be a nice gateway for console players to get into PC gaming, without the hassle of building your own PC from the ground up or trusting a prebuilt.

Dont think it will post any significant threat to playstation tho, nor is it designed to.

Im definetly excited!

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate State of Play for November 2025?

species

Oh my GOD am i happy to not live in UK……

How about this one - I personally dont like the character design of most anime characters shown in this presentation, where they appear to look very young with inflated chests. Yet i have nothing but love and respect for anyone that does like that.

Didnt find a single game that would interest me in this presentation.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Battlefield 6?

species

9/10
Campaign doesnt matter.

I absolutelly love the multiplayer, cant belive i actually hit things on a controller.

The “recycled” argument isnt a factor for me since i only played 1942 and 3.

Wish there were bigger maps tho with more vehicles tho. Hopefully in the future.
