Im glad, its an amazing game.

I hate these types of games, unfortunatelly my other half loves them.
So after almost losing my mind playing overcooked, Im really hoping that this one is as chill as advertised.

The ending was pretty good for me, finished the game twice. Didnt finish my third playthrough.

They just polished some characters and added an ending summary screen like for example dragon age.
The ending didnt change at all.

Larian’s dedication to their games and respect they have for their fans is truly astonishing.
More devs having even a sliver of this mindset would make gaming objectively better.

They can keep everything else, Bethesda never made a Fallout game worth a damn and Elder scrolls is on a downhill spiral since Morrowind.

To hell with photo mode. All im waiting for is 60fps or not.

I dont envy the PC players, wouldnt want to live thru that disappointment again.

@MaccaMUFC Porting games to other platforms isnt necessarily a problem. Sony slacking on first party exclusives is.

@AdamNovice Truu, the graphics were mindblowing. I think Alan Wake 2 came close/surpasses it in some ways. But still FW was pretty epic, especially the sand physics.

@sanderson72 Hmm from what i could find the only console outselling ps5 was ps2 and still if you take that data during the same period of time ps5 is on course to crash those numbers too.

Youre right about the android tho, my mistake. Despite the percentage increasing in the recent years, if you look on overall data, android has long term much better market position retainability.

Id much rather useless features stripped down to maintain simplicity of the system. And given the ps5 is the best selling playstation yet, despite having those “”features”” removed tells me at least some people think the same way i do.

More options arent always better, thats why more and more people prefer iOS over android, its not as bloated with nonsence and therefore works better.

You dont always have to be condescending and throw insults around to drive your point across. I think youll learn that one way or ther other later in your life

@nomither6 I strongly disagree, theres a huuuge difference between a gaming pc and a modern console.

Also its no problem to strip features if theyre useless and do nothing but bloat the system.

I mean, internet browser? Really? To surf the interwebs using a dualsense? In a day and age where anything from bathtubs to fridges has one?

@atthegates Games disappear from home screen the second i uninstall them for me. You can even hide them in game library. Oo

@nomither6 It also doesnt have a can opener and it cant tell weather.
Essencial functions in a gaming console if you ask me.

Edit - So im not just a sarcastic a-hole: The simplicity of just putting in a disc and playing a game without having to set up a theme and learn how to turn off cortana is the main appeal of a gaming console. What you seem to want is a PC :/

But yea thats exactly my point. Theres different ways of doing DLC, not of all em are bad.

Edit- technically speaking all DLCs, hell the games themselves, are optional.
The problem is that the companies want you to buy them.
Diablo4 is a great example, optional dlc yes, but all other armors look like crap. So if you want to look cool you need to pay up.

Look at From Software games DLC, Cyberpunk or Witcher 3.

If remakes keep getting 10/10 and GOTY nominations then why not. Companies will only do what we, the customers, will allow.
And sadly, we allow exactly this.

With hindsight I guess Oblivion is where everything started to go badly.
Even tho I didnt realize it back then, outside of the stupid level scaling, where at the end of the game even basic bandits had daedric weapons.

To be fair i was pretty unlucky with the console itself, had to have it replaced after a month of use.
Its my first console since NES so i guess some teething aches haha.

@TheMightyImp2 Im on my 5th controller within 16 months. The first one lasted the longest.

I halfway suspect sony to just refurbish them and send them back as “new” cause everytime i get it back it lasts about a month.

Stick drift every time, only one time i had stuck adaptive trigger on R2.

To me SM2 is a safe, run off the mill crowd pleaser that didn’t take any risks whatsoever and had little to no innovation. I enjoyed the first game way more.

Yes it was a vote, but maybe it shouldn’t have been, since people will probably always vote for their console of choice exclusives. (see Starfield).

I personally hold a review website to a higher standard than just counting votes.

Playstation site goty should mean the best games available for the console. In my opinion.

Edit - i would argue that superhero themed, combo based fighting game is way more niche than RPG these days.

There were more changes in RE4 remake over the original and that was a remake, not a full fledged sequel.

Alan Wake 2 had way better story and presentation while also being more technologically impressive.

I personally believe both of those games should be higher.

Constructive criticism - I dont think something being an exclusive should matter, i think you should be objective when chosing a GOtY.

Weird how many people had AW2 as GOtY and then it ends up 4th :/

@Gremio108 the first one is recommended. You will probably be absolutelly fine playing the second one, if a little bit confused.
But they overall did a good job with introducing new players.

I personally played the remaster before playing AW2, but i dont think its necessary.

Didnt play the weeb dragon game, but i personally enjoyed AW2 story way more than BG3 which, in my opinion, was way too safe.

@Flippygruffle I, for one, think that Alan Wake 2 is extremely underrated.

Edit- Altho i also prefer Sagas gameplay, I think Alans parts are brilliant too, the instant rewriting of scenes is breathtaking. And the fact that you never know which shadows are real or not keeps you uneasy for the entire game.
